“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“My friends and I tried this place for the first time and everything was SO delicious! We started with the cesar salad, and it was one of the best I've ever had.
We tried the branzino, and we loved the lemony sauce that complemented both the fish and side of brocolini!
The pork jowl dish was so tender and packed full of flavor, and it came with lettuce that made each bite refreshing.
We also got the miso carbonara which was creamy, perfectly seasoned yet not too heavy.
Service was very nice and fast, so overall we had an amazing dinner!“

“The Salmon Benedict was cooked to absolute perfection. Flaky grilled salmon, jammy poached eggs, hollandaise, and arugula on a toasted English muffin: perfection!! It feels like a high-end weekend treat without the long restaurant wait times.“

“5 stars for weekday happy hour specials! Popped in before a show at Segerstrom. Made a reservation on Opentable and when we arrived at 5pm there was already a line forming for the happy hour section. We ordered the $16 flatbread and sips: pesto chicken flatbread paired with generous size cosmo martini. Also ordered from the $8 small plates special: goat cheese and 3 piece steak lettuce wraps. Service was fast and friendly, food served hot and generous in portion for happy hour. There used to be live piano entertainment - there wasn’t on the night we went. They were showing baseball playoffs that time. We will definitely return when we go to a show again!“

“What a wonderful little place! There are plenty of items on the menu to choose from, as well as gluten-free alternatives. We had shrimp and mashed potatoes; both were excellent! Service was very good while dining al fresco.“

“Came across this restaurant somehow. So I have decided to give it a try. It’s a small, cozy restaurant. Surprisingly food was good, and the restaurant very generous with the bottomless mimosa on a Sunday brunch. The champagne pour into the glass till it’s almost full. Leave only a little bit room to add the juice of your choice which was pineapple, guava, orange juice I forgot 1 more with just $19.99. It’s so cheap compare to other restaurants that offer bottomless mimosa starting at least $22 and up. Our server Gustavo was very nice, very attentive. There’s some parking in front and there are some in the back. I was there at 12pm so I found it ok. Not difficult at all. Not sure about dinner time. They do offer dinner menu as well on a Sunday brunch if you are interested you can ask for both menu to decide. For us, we ordered everything on dinner menu. lol.“

“Found restaurant on google after finishing a nearby doctor’s appt. Delicious chicken Shawarma plate for $14, chicken was tender and tasty! Paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio for $8, is a great deal! Staff was friendly and outdoor seating was intimate and quiet. Perfect plan for a quick lunch!“

It was actually pretty quiet as its location is tucked out the way, but it deserves to have a queue around the corner!!!!! Top quality ingredients and great value for the quality. “We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“My brother and his family came into town for his birthday. We took him to Social for his birthday dinner. The atmosphere was fun and lively! The poor server was the only server on the floor that Saturday night because of a sick call. He was swamped and I’m sure stressed out but you couldn’t tell! He made sure the bussers and hostess checked on us throughout the evening to refill drinks, bring out food, and boxes. It really showed the teamwork between all employees that night. The teamwork alone was impressive to me! The Nutella Espresso Martini was soooo good!!! The food was amazing! As busy as our poor server was he still managed to bring out cake with a candle and sing happy birthday to my brother! I definitely plan on going back to Social!“

The bartender couldn't have been any more of a delight. She even had them make a patty for my service dog. I met an amazing vet Darren and his lady Becca. Hi Becca and Darren. I think we are going to be great boat friends. I have a 17 foot Boston whaler a Montauk fishing boat and and need other fishermen/women to take it out. Looking forward to many days on the water. I’ll mention standout dishes even though the menu is constantly changing—my group really loved the maitake mushroom dish that was smoky and full of umami that it was surprisingly reminiscent of steak?! We guarded the hamachi crudo sauce after the fish was finished to dip their perfectly fluffy and crunchy focaccia into after. Same with the scrambled egg agnolotti, the sauce was incredible and the agnolottis themselves truly surprised us. The ricotta donuts were chef’s kiss as well. I really appreciated the warm welcome and introduction made at the beginning of our meal. I spent a long time looking for creative restaurants doing something different and interesting to celebrate my friend’s birthday in OC and DARKROOM nailed it. I also loved the creative touch with the bill trays :) What a gem!“
