“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!“

“We loved the food. The place is very large with a good size banquet room.I had stuffed shells and the Salmon The Salmon was a little undercooked for out tasted. It was cooked Alaska style. We sent back and a few minutes later it came back perfect. There's a large wine selecting coming from several countries. The price was reasonable.“

There was a young aged asian girl who attended us . She was not very friendly from start to finish. She answered questions with an attitude, never smiled . Overall it was some of the most unfriendly awkward service I've ever experienced, just a bummer my parents had to experience it too on their first visit .pizza was still great though

“This place right down the street from my home. I have been going here for years now & will continue to do so. Everyone is very friendly & the donuts are delicious. Yesterday my husband and I stopped by at noon to pick up 3 dozens of donuts to take to our cousins viewing in Tj. We told this to the lady helping us, then she said "wait, let me give you something!" “This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the North county area. I mostly do takeout from this place, but it is a great experience dining in as well. Food is delicious and portions are generous. I also highly recommend appetizers and dessert here. My go to is the drunken noodles or massaman curry, but everything else I've tried was amazing. Service is fast and friendly, there is rarely a long wait for food or drinks.“

Skybound Coffee is hands-down the best (and cheapest!) place for boba in town. I grabbed three boba teas for under $25, which is almost unheard of. The Thai Tea boba was absolutely delicious—perfect sweetness, great texture, super refreshing.

They also have an amazing selection of pastries, including some really beautiful, elevated French-style creations that I’m excited to try on my next visit. The overall vibe is warm, welcoming, and high-quality without the high price tag.
