She checked up on us to see if everything with our dinner was going well, it was!!!! She did demonstrate lots of respect, by providing a warning for a change in the environment. Daniel (Pen-for-Rent owner): "Five years after Tisza -- pronounced TEE-sa, one of our all-time favorite restaurants -- left its former location in Windsor, my wife and I finally checked out its beautiful new home in Healdsburg. To our delight, we found that Chef Krisztian Karkus and his wife Alena (who has now moved out of the back of the house to charm guests as a friendly, attentive hostess/waitress) have made their restaurant's tastefully appointed new incarnation even better than we remembered it. What makes Tisza special is not just the wonderful food, drink and ambience but the sprinkling of rare (in California Wine Country) offerings on its menu, including mouthwatering Central and East European delights -- schnitzels, goulash, spaetzle, potato dumplings, wild mushrooms and, OH YES!, apple strudel -- reflecting the couple's background (he's Hungarian and she's Czech). While we didn't manage to sample everything that tempted us in this first of what will surely be many return visits, we'd be remiss if we didn't single out for high praise the house-smoked salmon with dill mustard sauce, pickled mustard seed and crème fraiche served over potato latkes. We think this fabulous starter might be more aptly named "salmon ambrosia." (If anyone can transform a fish into food for the gods, Krisztian's your guy!) “This is such a great place. I went for brunch this morning, sat on the outdoor patio overlooking the lake with ducks on it and a fountain surrounded by rolling greens as a watched golfers, planes overhead leaving the airport, just super relaxing. Had the Eggs Benedict and give that breakfast a 10 for sure. A great place to eat, relax and step back from everyday stress. My family and I have done lunch and dinner there as well as are always impressed. Definitely a little hidden Sonoma County gem.“

“We had a great prix fixe meal of 3 courses but the also offer 5 courses. No bad selections except for the cauliflower steak. I don’t think that is worth a steak or shrimp pasta but that is my opinion. Outdoor dining is available and they have heaters by the wall of sliding windows that open up totally he outside. Awesome deserts. I had the cookie butter cheesecake. I died and went to heaven.“

It is a fine line when adding a flash fried avocado to a dish that’s usually served cold. Vallete executes it perfectly! For the main course, the Dry-Aged Duck is a must-try. Strongly Suggest even if we do not have room at the end we always order the ItsNotA ‘Snickers Bar’ Deux. Service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff exudes genuine passion for the food and wine they serve. “I don't live in Santa Rosa any more, I haven't in ~20 years but I grew up there and EVERYONE knows Sam's! I was in town for the holidays and went there for lunch with a friend. The menu is enormous and while I was tempted by the all day breakfast, I landed on a French Dip sandwich that I had been craving. If you are anywhere in the area, stop by, you'll be glad you did!

Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurant - be sure to check out the staff's name tags! Reminded me of my first job working at Camp Wa-Tam. ;-)“

“Good food! Numerous varieties of burgers to choose from, hot crispy French fries, old fashioned style shakes and malts. As a vegetarian, I appreciated their Vegetarian options. Three types of patties and you could sub an impossible on amy type of burger. We sat outside. Service is rather slow but worth the wait because they're making everything fresh and to order.

Vegetarian options: Spicy black bean patty, housemaid vegeburger, and impossible patty all offered. There are also salads and various dessert options.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bun available for extra cost.“

“Highly recommend making this a must stay place if you’re in the Sonoma area! The resort is so funky, fun and makes you feel special while you visit. The vibe at the Lazeaway Club is awesome. The food is mostly shareable bites, the cocktails were delicious. The DJ on Sunday by the pool left us wanting to stay longer! The best thing about the resort is the staff! “Been waiting to go for months. Finally went and the food was absolutely amazing but we never where checked on. I just wanted a water and salsa and was looking the whole meal for an employee. made eye contact with our server and she ignored me 3 times, then brought our check and said you can pay whenever. not even how was the food. my husband had to get me my water as he fully finished his food while I was still trying to stall because I wanted salsa on my 25$ omelet. 😕“

“I only come here during happy hour. I love that it starts earlier than most. French fries and the sauces the fries are served with (especially the curry one) are delicious. My standard drink is an old-fashioned which is a happy hour menu item (yay!). The kale salad (not a happy hour item) is delicious and I order it frequently. Service is always attentive and courteous and I really enjoy the outdoor seating area which is lovely place to relax when the weather is nice.

My only complaint…the product they use to clean tables has a strong window cleaner smell which was very bothersome, and I observed an employee spray the table directly rather than spray the towel which causes the product spray to potentially blow around if there’s a breeze, which it did.“

“I’ve been going to Ozzie’s since I was a kid, and I believe there was a change in ownership at some point- but I’m glad it has kept going. It’s a place you can depend on for classic diner food, and it’s made well with good portions. Yummy burgers, sandwiches, and more!“
