“This was my first time visiting this cafe, as my friend who lives in Winnetka recommended it after hearing positive reviews. The coffee itself was great! Although, I had a hard time enjoying the turkey sandwich that I ordered. For 9 bucks, I feel as though the sandwich was lacking, especially as the avocado was not distributed evenly and ended up falling out after my first bite. Maybe next time, I’ll get the egg bagel. But overall vibe was nice and the employees were friendly.“

“Where to start…so I ran out of gas in the drive-thru today. That’s on prioritizing Starbucks and fueling myself over my car. However, the assistant manager and her team came in clutch. They were polite, efficient, kind, and best of all helped push my car into a parking spot. She’s honestly incredible. She balanced communicating with other guests, diffusing the issue, and found a solution all while making me feel like I wasn’t the huge inconvenience that I definitely was. Thank you doesn’t say enough. She has the special quality of a great leader and deserves the best in life. Shout out to everyone who helped me. Thanks again.“

“This is the first time I have ever been to one of the Bacari locations. This one, in Sherman Oaks, is excellent. My daughter, Lauren, picked this restaurant. I was surprised, because Lauren usually picks out more expensive restaurants.

Bacari is a tapas type restaurant. The prices are reasonable because the portions, and the plates, are small. They recommended ordering three plates per person.

We ordered one plate for each of us and a Margarita pizza to share. The pizza was excellent. I had the Bacari burger. It was amazing. My wife had sea bass, and our daughter had a filet. We all enjoyed our meals.

Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. In this restaurant, they bring out each plate as it's ready. That encourages people to share and socialize.

The restaurant was quite noisy inside. They have a nice little courtyard with outdoor seating. It was slightly less noisy in the outdoor courtyard.

For people who want to lose weight and still have delicious meals, I recommend Bacari Sherman Oaks.“

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“Love the atmosphere of this comfortably casual bar. Ample outdoor seating provides the perfect spot to sip a beer or two relaxing in the sunshine. I don’t eat meat so I haven’t tried the burgers, which come highly recommended. The garlic parmesan fries are excellent and enough for 3 people. Sorry I can’t say the same for the cauliflower wings or pretzels with cheese sauce. But I had the best-poured beer of my life—a fresh Scrimshaw pilsner in a sparkling-clean glass. See attached video. Despite the venue’s name, they now offer cocktails as well as beer and wine.“

“This use to be one of my favorite locations. The service is fast, and the cashiers are always nice and professional. It’s also a very safe location but not a lot of places to eat outside like other locations. Overall it’s still a good clear restaurant with fresh food.“

“Great spot to get a quick eat. Burgers start at $9.99 & go up to $12.99, I believe. Service was great & the food came out super quick. I ordered the spicy smash burger. Honestly, it was pretty good.

The only change I would suggest is to substitute the regular cheese with pepper jack since it is the spicy version of the smash burger.

Also, I would lean towards ordering the curly fires with the order instead of the regular fries. The regular fries are okay, I feel that the curly fries had a lot more texture & flavor to offer that goes well with the meal.

All in all, I'd go back if I find myself in the area. They just gotta be careful in case some sea crustacean, like a Plankton, tries to steal their burger formula for himself.“

“I would say it’s one of the best diners in the valley. I drove up from West LA specifically for breakfast today and was really impressed for my first time visit. It’s your true retro LA style diner complimented with friendly service and delicious food. Our server was honestly fantastic and all of our items arrived quickly after ordering them. I also love the design on the inside, it’s the retro 50’s era old diner that you would expect full of booths and counter seating. They have a free parking lot attached otherwise street parking is easy to find as well.

We started off with the homemade Coffee Cake and it was terrific. Coffee Cake is one of my favorite desserts and honestly this was one of the better ones that I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it. For my meal, I had a glass of their orange juice because they make it in-house and have a giant machine right behind the counter so I had to try it and it was delicious as expected. For my meal, I chose the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict and thought it was great. The hollandaise sauce was homemade and not the canned type and the pork was crispy, but also flavorful. The hashbrowns on the side were also done exactly as I like them. Overall, it was a fantastic meal.

I would highly recommend to anyone searching for a great diner, breakfast, or lunch option. I plan to be back soon and I’m eager to try more items.

The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. “NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.“
