“This place is amazing starting from the incredible experience with Robin whom went above and beyond to Coordinate an amazing event. Meegan and Orlando were so incredibly personable! I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was great. I got to meet the awesome serving team and head chef, everyone was kind and made sure to check on us. “I have only been here one time. It was while Christmas shopping this year (24). It was most definitely the highlight of the night. The queso appetizer was ridiculous, and the beer selection made the mall bearable! I will definitely be back to try more of this menu.

“Love the cozy, airy vibe here; the super friendly and knowledgeable staff; and the creative, flavorful dishes. The pricing is very reasonable, too.

The chicken liver toast ($10) is not only gorgeous, but also delicious and full of different textures. Their Texas toast is made with high-quality heirloom grains, which I also thought was cool.

Popcorn chicken ($10) was fantastic! Juicy inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, but not too crunchy or overbreaded. Highly recommend any of their fried chicken dishes after having that!

The sashimi platter was beautiful and tasted great, but at $26, I’d honestly pass on this next time and get sashimi at a sushi spot.

The dry-aged half duck was sooooooo good! Perfectly cooked and so much flavor, even in the purple lettuce leaves on the side (not sure exactly what they were). It’s the most expensive main at $78, but considering the quality and that it is easily big enough for two, I’d say that’s reasonable. I’d love to try the pork chop char siu next time ($65) — and their wagyu short rib is only $58 (all these are meant to be for two people).“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

Westy’s has standard diner food, better-than-average coffee (it’s standard diner drip coffee but without the burnt flavor), and exceptionally friendly service. We were greeted with a smile, our food was brought out promptly, and the atmosphere felt more like sharing a meal at a friend’s house than exchanging currency for attentive service.“
