Cafe Bernard Reviews
Excellent dinner. Calamari was cooked perfectly and Nicoise salad was healthy and fresh. Nice glass of Bordeaux to top it off.

Great place for brunch in Basalt. The morning buns are famous, but everything else from omelets to the Annabelle Waffle are worth trying!
And kudos to Daniela, who host, services and prepares all the coffees and drinks! And always with a smile. Thank you!

Cafe Bernard is a charming, hidden gem in downtown Basalt's historic district. The restaurant offers an impressive brunch selection, including the standout trout dish, as well as delicious waffles with fresh fruit. The menu is large and dynamic, with many options for breakfast, lunch, and brunch, including a veggie omelet and sides that are great for sharing. Guests can enjoy a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, with every single dish described as delicious. The wine list is also noteworthy. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and friendly, making it a welcoming spot for a meal. While service may be slow at times, it is generally great, with servers being kind and efficient. The food is consistently outstanding, with highlights like the perfect sandwich bread and flavorful potato salad. Guests can also enjoy nice outside seating, perfect for those with pets. The fresh squeezed OJ is a must-try. Overall, Cafe Bernard is highly recommended for a wonderful dining treat in the Roaring Fork Valley.
