“Went here for a birthday and had an amazing time. We shared maybe eight menu items and they were all spectacular. Red snapper and banana cream pudding were out of control. Also, our waiter Mia was really friendly. I love Southern food but normally it's a gut bomb. This maintained the character and flavors but incorporated good quality ingredients and wasn't super greasy. Lastly, the music was great.“

“We were here a couple times while staying at the DoubleTree. While it’s a hotel restaurant the food was fresh and the service was great. The last night we were here a couple was being very belligerent with the bartender, who handled it professionally. The service and the freshness of the food were great and we appreciated an easy option while traveling.

We had BBQ ribs, catfish, shrimp gumbo, hushpuppies, mac and cheese, and fried okra—and every single dish was phenomenal. The BBQ ribs were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, falling right off the bone. The catfish was perfectly fried with a crisp, golden coating and flaky, well-seasoned meat inside. The shrimp gumbo was rich and comforting, with deep, authentic and creole flavor that represented the cuisine from back home to a T. The sides were just as impressive. The hushpuppies were warm and perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, and the fried okra was seasoned just right with a satisfying crunch. You can tell these owners truly understands its cuisine—everything was done right. If you’re looking for authentic bbq, seafood or comfort food, this spot is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be back!
