Their flavors are not really imitating meat, they take the essence of the meat flavor and add or adjust it to better enhance natural tastes found in the rest of the dish. Most vegan places I’ve been to just imitate and then over season-sometimes severely. This place is truly revolutionizing how food can be extraordinary and vegan. “The food is amazing! Our waitress was awesome as well. The only thing that left a sour taste in our mouth was the manager making it seem like we’re being rushed. I made a reservation a week earlier and when we showed up there was barley anyone there, the manager or owner or who ever she is said we had 1 hour and a half at max to finish our meal. This establishment is definitely not a turn and burn. If I’m spending over 25 dollars a plate I’m going to enjoy it with the feel or want to be rushed. That being said the food and our waitress definitely did not disappoint!”

“I’m beyond impressed with this establishment. First off Josh our server was top notch. He was very helpful with my food allergy and was on point with drinks and service. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Waygu ribeye and my wife had the Bison ribeye. The cuts were perfect, they were seared correctly and had a perfect temperature. The sides were even great. I gotta say we haven’t been impressed with many steak houses in the metro area, so this was an absolute breathe of fresh air. We will be back… ALOT!!!”

“We eat at AKI at least twice a month. The sashimi & sushi is fresh, tasty & excellent. Along with our regular sushi & sashimi order, we usually order a seaweed salad, miso soup & shumai and these are always amazing. The sushi chefs are very skilled and the platters of sashimi and sushi are beautifully arranged. We will continue to eat at this restaurant and recommend it to all who love Japanese food.
The service is personal and excellent. The service is always amazing! Our server is knowledgeable about the fish and answers our questions about items we are curious about. Thank you AKI for all the wonderful meals we have been served and the fantastic service.”

“What you call energetic we refer to as horrendous. Do NOT ever go there on special nights esp. if children are free. We did this for our 53rd anniversary on 2/16/26 & my wife's birthday a couple of days before. There was an extremely noisy table with children who were loud & at times, running around. There were 6 adults at one end with the 4-5 children seated at the other. They made no attempt to corral them & we were told by our waiter that they were not allowed to say anything to the parents. There is no separation of the areas where children are seated nor is there any sound buffeting present over the large open area. Per usually both service & food were outstanding. The management policies however are poor if they allow this behavior at what is supposed to be a fine-dining experience.”

“Came here for dinner on a weeknight while on a work trip. The place was not crowded and we got to chat with Sandy, the owner who was very courteous, sweet, friendly and passionate for his work. Food was delicious, we ordered tandoori paneer momo, veg manchurian, masala noodles, chicken butter masala and garlic naan. Everything was cooked well, and flavors were lovely. Veg manchurian was a perfect crunchy and saucy texture. We loved the smoky wok hei in the masala noodles. If I am in Denver again I would definitely come back!”

“Pretty good. I had the spicy tonkotsu. It is flavorful but not really spicy. The gyoza was also tasty. It's a walk up counter, not table service, but I had no problems getting additional spicy sauce or whatnot.”

“After reading the other reviews of this place, I had pretty high hopes, but unfortunately, it was just ok. I should probably leave a 3 star review, but I’m keeping it at 4, because they do have solid to-go containers that keep your food warm for a long time.

First off, it looks like they raised their lunch specials from $15 to $17, which is fine in this economy I guess, but with tax & tip $20 is no longer enough here for lunch.

I got the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken & the pad Thai with chicken. The flavor in the noodles were all good & the chicken portions were solid, but my pad Thai had no bean sprouts or peanuts in it & it was advertised on the menu. The drunken noodles also had no vegetables, which I’m not used to, but the flavor was good.

I will be back, but I recommend eating inside & asking for extra vegetables with whatever you decide to order.”

“Drove from Longmont to their Evan’s location. Nice comfortable physical space, friendly and helpful staff and the most delicious espresso (both regular and decaf) I’ve had in years. They also have a broad selection of coffees from around the world that they roast at their other location. If you’re not local they will ship to your location. Excellent coffee, buy it, drink it and be happy.”

I always get the mild chicken ramen and would eat the entire menu every visit if I could. The couple who works the front and the kitchen are the sweetest people. “This is a very humble and unassuming little store front eatery. Please do not forego for this reason. Once you step inside you will be greeted by a lovely couple of ladies. One of them an elder lady who is so loving and so happy and excited you are there. I highly recommend the traditional breakfast with two eggs, refried black beans, cheese and sour cream to complement the fried plantains. This takes me to my childhood instantaneously. Eating here feels like eating at my grandmother's home sitting at a table in the kitchen, very nostalgic for me. These ladies are amazing hosts and love what they do. Stop by and tell them Jorge sent you and enjoy!”

“Great selection of beers in cans, bottles, and several on tap. Drink specials are super reasonable. Just happened to be sitting up at the bar when a company came through just to service the beer tap lines. The guy performing the maintenance said they clean the lines every other week! I felt so comfortable with the staff and customers, I went back the next night. Karaoke was a blast (no cover), free poker had a fun vibe, and the place was hopping with darts and pool players. Will def go back.”

Kristie being my first bartender now the owner has always been great even after so many years. All of the bartenders are great but Ashley is my favorite she always has been.”

“Went in tonight to get my meatball footlong and 6-inch tuna with spinach. I then saw my favorite employee named Ever who said they were going to the Subway off Alameda and Chambers. I am so sad, Ever always had a smile and was so funny and nice. I know my visits will be different from now on and they lost a great person. Whatever the reason for him leaving and going elsewhere it is a shame if this was the owners fault. Honestly may not even go as much. “I’ve had the pleasure of going to this IHOP a few times now while I have been visiting Denver. The food was delicious, quick and the best part was the outstanding customer service by their waitress Lili! Every restaurant needs a waitress like Lili! Her personality, efficiency and customer service are in a class above all others! She chatted with me and we made a personal connection on my first visit and when I returned two weeks later, she immediately recognized me and we continued our previous conversation. She was equally gracious with all the other customers present greeting them in English or Spanish depending on their preferred language. I went there for the great food and breakfast but went back due to Lili’s great hospitality.”

Love how they slice the meat and cheeses right there for your sandwich.”
