“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“We went for a date night and couldn't have been more pleased! The staff was friendly and super knowledgeable. We opted for the walk with us option so the chefs could take the reigns and it did not disappoint. The wagyu was melt in your mouth, cod was delicious, pave, liver mousse, all such great complimentary flavors throughout the courses all the way to the end with the miso ice cream. Highly recommend when you want to splurge, great atmosphere, phenomenal food!“

My family and I flew in from Houston for a Thanksgiving week getaway, and after hearing great things about The Original, we decided to try it out. Let me just say—we were not disappointed!

Our server, Ray D., was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. The food was phenomenal—everything came out fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared.

Ray D. truly made our dining experience memorable, and we highly recommend him and this restaurant to anyone visiting Denver. If you’re looking for great service and amazing food, this is the place to be. Five stars from me and my family“

“New Year's Eve is a tough night to dine out. Our server was gracious and kind and helpful to me and my daughter and her teenage friends. She made our New Year's Eve dinner a pleasure. I had not been to The Kitchen in a few years, and the food was great! “

“My boyfriend is always looking for somewhere to take me with variety and unique flavors to try. He succeeded here, and it was one of my favorite dining experiences in the area so far. We were running a few minutes behind our reservation and called ahead. This was handled in a supportive and understanding manner and did not impact our visit at all. The staff were friendly and professional, from the kind woman who greeted us upon entry to the attentive waitstaff and manager who checked in several times throughout our meal. We were very satisfied with the service.
I had the pleasure of tasting several cocktails and each was a balance of flavors thoroughly enjoyed. The attention given to each dish by the culinary crafters was precise and beautifully plated. A highlights was being served one of two available tuna collar portions. This was well prepared and we savored every bite.
Other menu items that stood out for me include the pierogi which had a wonderful sweetness pulling the flavors together, and the lamb shank shared between us. There are other reviews mentioning the brioche rolls and butter bears and they are right to do so. It was a lovely way to kick of a memorable dining experience.

Imagine my surprise when I entered the wine bar at Satchel’s with a group of friends to be seated for a wedding luncheon that began with the first of seven tasting courses of food that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Andrew, the chef/owner, is not only innovative with ingredients, but he and his staff really care about their customers’ pleasure and comfort. If I am ever able to return to the Denver area again, Satchel’s will be my first go-to destination. The luncheon was 1st class all the way.“

“Absolutely tremendous place with far and away the best house cured meats in all of Denver. As someone that eats a lot of sandwiches, I can promise you that this place does some of the best I've ever had. Excellent service, knowledgeable and helpful staff (thanks, Luke!), they offer cooking classes with the Michelin chef, and do catering as well. Stop in for a sandwich, impress a date, grab some house cured meats, but whatever you do GO BE OVER HERE.“

“Amazing service by not only the floor staff, but as well from management! Colorado Campfire, feels like the type of bar where everyone knows you name. You feel invited and welcome. Eva is a excellent mixologist. Johnny was extremely helpful when deciding what food to order and Reese handled a 10 person table with ease.

“We had a great experience! I feel so bad I can't remember our servers name but he was awesome. We came in late with our 3 kids, it was everyone's first time except for mine. My husband has never even been. We ordered the housemade chips and the ranch was DELICIOUS, our server even made sure to get us another basket when my kids inhaled the first one. Everyone was absolutely satisfied with their choices which is unusual for my kids! We had a great time!“

“we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

“I went to Black Eyed Pea to help celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. There were about 20 people in our party. The service was exceptional. The waitress did not miss a beat. The food couldn't have tasted any better and the amount of food for the money was excellent. I think everybody in the party ordered something a little different from everyone else. The selection of food was amazing.
I ordered the veggie plate. I had black eyed peas, red beans and rice, squash casserole, macaroni and cheese, and fried okra. There was enough for me to bring home for the next day
It wasn't overly crowded on the day that we went. It was just a nice relaxing atmosphere and they catered to our party well.
Everyone raved about the service that we received as well as the amount of food and the taste.
Overall, I was 100% satisfied with the experience.
My meal with an iced tea cost approximately $20. But again there was enough food for two meals. Most people went home with a to go box because they could not finish everything on their plate.
We also got plates of homemade rolls served family style.
One party member ordered the chicken fried steak and it was as big as the plate.
Another party member ordered the potato bowl and it was huge. He said it was really good too.“

“I got a recommendation from a volunteer from the Western Stock Show. The saloon itself has been an establishment for some time in Denver and the food did not disappoint. I enjoyed the chicken breast and chili. An authentic saloon adjacent to the stockyard. Hopefully it is still open for you“

“Great experience with a mistake. Mike the manager made all the difference. We eat here maybe once a month, often ordering in and picking up from the restaurant. I called and shared my issue with Mike with one of our meals and he went above and beyond. Just another reason why we love eating at this restaurant, and why we will continue to return. “I needed some wake up juice 1st before a training session. I walked to the corner where Starbucks used to be and found this little quaint shop. Walking in eight away i noticed the atmosphere was great. Olivia attended me and she was such a sweetheart right off the bat. Great smile and so friendly. To top it off she warned me about being sure if I wanted that extra shot and I am so glad I didn't. I would highly recommend this place for sure and make sure to say hi to Olivia.“
