“There are some really good Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants in Denver: Glo, Ginger Pig, Mister Oso... Hop Alley didn't live up to the hype for me. Everything was good, but not great. The service was fine, and I appreciated the food coming out quickly, but the pace felt rushed. The cocktails were weird twists on bar classics, and we've had better Chinese food elsewhere in Denver. Overall, really glad we tried it, but we'll be sticking to our preferred staples in RiNo.“

“The food was really good very traditional flavors and looked amazing. The service was very good and the pricing is very affordable the only thing I did not like was the restaurant was a bit cramped and extremely noisy but for a very popular lunch time spot not surprising“

“The manager made sure we got the full experience, giving free food to fill the pallets and make us wanting more, the staff was pleasant and very helpful when ordering, the food is definitely flavorful each bite was something new, not my cup of tea for most of the appetizers but the entree was definitely the star of the show,“

“10 stars 🌟 Incredible experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very warm and comfortable environment. Extremely clean and open feeling dining space. Truly a neighborhood restaurant that will always make you want to return for more. Singapore noodles were amazing. The staff really was the highlight of the meal. I felt like family at the table. “I have been ordering from New China Cafe for several years now. The food is some of the absolute best in Denver. Everything always comes out so fresh and the flavor is unparalleled. It is my favorite Chinese food in Denver.
Beyond the food, I have witnessed the owners and the staff go above and beyond every time for every customer. In the most genuine way, they make everyone feel like they are their number one customer! These days we take customer service for granted, but their hard work, kindness and service do not go unnoticed.
This will continue to be my go to Chinese food restaurant, not only because of the outstanding food, but because of the service!“

“Best scallops I have ever had. Great food, traditional Chinese. The restaurant is “older” don’t expect sleek Americanization. Focus on the great food.“

“Tried this place for the first time today and it was excellent! The customer service was genuinely so friendly. The woman who took our order was so lovely and helped me to find what gluten free options were available! I had the chicken and vegetables with white sauce. It was delicious, cooked perfectly, and very affordable given the quality!“

“Rice Story is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Dongbei-style “he fan” and classic Chinese dishes. We’ve been coming here regularly, and the food is always consistently high quality, flavorful, and generously portioned — all at very reasonable prices.
Our favorites include the stir-fried green beans (干煸四季豆), spicy boiled fish (水煮鱼), mapo tofu (麻婆豆腐), shredded potatoes (土豆丝), and twice-cooked pork (回锅肉). Every dish is cooked with care, with bold, authentic flavors that feel like home-cooked meals.
If you’re looking for real, traditional flavors, Rice Story delivers — consistently and deliciously.
If you enjoy authentic Chinese food or want to try something beyond the usual takeout, this place is a must-visit.“

“Very clean. Very yummy! I would recommend anyone to check this amazingly yummy Chinese food place out! I will be coming back bringing my loved ones! They made the food fast, fresh and not greasy!
Parking: If the restaurant is not busy or the other surrounding, businesses are not busy, there should be about 2 spots out front which is facing the busy road and about 6 to 8 spots on the side of the building. Just tight parking spots.“

“Fantastic restaurant. Came here with a friend, just a quiet, unassuming restaurant on a Monday night.
The egg drop soup was delicious, rich in flavor with silky eggs. Prawns in lobster sauce had a wonderful flavor. Plenty of cashews (with an equal amount of celery) in the Cashew chicken. 10/10 for both dishes.“

“This is definitely a good Chinese scoop restaurant. The quality isn’t super like other Chinese restaurants but for the price and quantity it is ell worth and still taste pretty good. I wouldn’t mind coming here randomly here when I’m craving Chinese food just for a cheap meal.“

“The food was good and the staff was friendly. Once we were seated, the food came out pretty quickly, which was nice.
The only downside was the wait to get a table. Even though the restaurant was about 70% empty when I arrived, it still took a while to be seated and the same thing happened to people who came in after me. I think the seating process could be a bit more efficient.
Overall, a good dining experience with room for improvement on the front-of-house flow.“

“Atmosphere is great! Service was excellent! Not loud like most big restaurants. Food was absolutely amazing! Not overly expensive. Make their dumplings fresh. Steak tenderloin and peppers was very good. Outdoor seating area is nice when it is warm. The winter pirk wonton soup is great. I have also never been disappointed with the seasonal vegetables (green beans, broccoli, bok choy). They serve soup dumplings ever so often and totally worth trying if they are available. They have an upstairs that you can reserve for parties as well. I have never been disappointed by anything I get here.“

“The owners of Wokano must have sold their souls to someone because I had an otherworldly experience eating this food. Best sesame tofu I’ve ever had. Tofu spring rolls pretty standard but they’re massive and come with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce.
They were happy to make the sesame tofu gluten free and they also have lots of vegan options.
Living close to this place is soon to bleed me dry but I can’t even act like I’m not ecstatic about it. I love you Wokano Asian Bistro.“

“The shrimp fried rice is delicious !!! I’m pretty picky about my food and this was actually tasteful and the shrimp tasted “fresh” We also ordered the Dinner Combo for $19 && ended up getting sesame chicken as the main and that one was okay. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice“

“this place is a hole in the wall but is definitely a best kept secret. I didn't dine in but ordered some trays to create a family meal event at a studio and everyone loved the food! The catering sizes are done over the phone with someone English speaking who will call you back. When I picked up the order I used a Chinese translation app since the workers didn't speak English. They packed my eggrolls in plastic bag that caused them to sweat and got soggy so I asked them to warm it up in the oven to dry it out and they held their crisp in the pan for my party. I recommend having your own plates and serving utensils for a catering takeout. Sadly they did not have fortune cookies but made up for it by throwing in some yummy sesame balls with sweet bean filling. I drove to the nearest Panda Express to buy fortune cookies (super cheap) for my party 😂.The portions at Tasty House were very generous, affordable, and delicious 😋“

“I have to say, I've eaten Sesame Chicken all around the US, and never has anyone asked how spicy do I want it. I like alittle spice in my life. I got mine medium spicy, it's perfect. I also like a lot of broccoli, this has plenty of broccoli. The sauce and chicken are very flavorful too.“

“Great value and great service, I have been visiting Dragon Boat for over twenty years and they have always been consistent with well made and tasty food, the picture shows some of the veggies but below the pork is a ample amount of pineapple too, this meal was less that $12 and included a wonton, egg roll and soup!“

“Good, almost great. The food is good but isn't very authentic and seems to lean heavily on salt and sugar to make it tasty. Having Chinese characters/Pinyin on the menu (where I was the only Chinese person in the entire restaurant) feels like the food should be authentic. Also, serving rice in a takeout container feels a little offensive given the sacredness of rice as the foundation of a Chinese meal.
However, the spice is nice and the flavors pop well if you're not expecting truly authentic flavors and are used to Westernized cuisine. Definitely above average for Asian food in Denver, but I'd recommend South Federal/Broomfield/Aurora for better and less expensive Asian food.
For the price and all the added service fees, I would have expected full service and food served in non-plastic dishes. It's a nice way to try some dishes without venturing out too far.“

“Hands down the most delicious Chinese food in all of Colorado I've been going here since I was a kid and now I take my children here it doesn't matter how far I am I will always drive here for my food everything is amazing the lo mein is amazing the rice is amazing but the orange chicken it's the absolute best and with the make your own meal deal you get two sides with your choice of rice or lo mein comes with a soda and a wonton or egg roll and theyre not shy with the portions either they really pack it on if you haven't tried it give it a shot! You will not be disappointed I hope this place stays in business for a very long time!“

“I am REALLY picky about my dumplings and these are made with artistry, TLC and genuine skill. This is NOT a dumpling factory like Din Tai Fung...these are made with real care and it's reflected in the taste and texture and try and braised beef noodle soup as well as the pork belly bao: Yum!“

“Our FAVORITE go-to when the Chinese food craving hits!! They have amazing fried rice, lo mien, chow mien, and the best appetizers. Especially the pork fried wontons; when most places only serve cream cheese wontons. Large portions. Amazing service. Fair prices. 10/10.“

“This place is timeless and nostalgic. It is exactly how I remember from my high school days back in the 1990s. They are still going strong 35 years later so they are doing something very right. The food is fresh, healthy and hot, cooked exactly as you design yourself. The staff hustles to make your experience enjoyable. The value is amazing, especially for families with hungry teens. I used to eat here with my teammates before CCHS football games. Be sure to visit this hidden gem soon.“
