“Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon with my wife and it turned into one of those perfect, simple Denver days. It was a rare 70° day in February, so the mellow vibe at the Platte Street location made it even better, super relaxed, not crowded, and just a great place to unwind.
I ordered the salted watermelon lager (maybe a few others) and it was fantastic, really refreshing and a little different from my usual lineup. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and everything just felt easy and welcoming.
If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy a great beer and good company, especially on a nice day, this place absolutely delivers. Definitely a 5-star afternoon.“

“Came for a happy hour and got to enjoy some amazing beers. The space is fantastic with an outdoor patio (didn't check out as it was snowing hard on May 5th!) The interior is dark with cozy bar stools and tables inside for sipping beer.
Bruz Beers (a play on the Belgian Bruge) has an extensive menu. I got the bartender Tim's recommendation for my first beer. It was their dubbel, which is a dark abbey style ale. It was very tasty and not overly heavy. I wanted to try one more and am a big fan of sour beers. The grape saison (only available at Colfax location) is tart and fermented with Gewürztraminer wine grapes. It was also very good with the right of sour and not overly sweet.
The bar has some snacks for purchase like popcorn and meat sticks. I guess they normally have food trucks offering different types of cuisine.
There are bathrooms just outside the taproom shared with R&R head labs and another business. Just ask for the code as they require one for entry.
The parking is challenging as the bar is just south of Colfax on York. You can find street parking.“

“We popped in for a beer and Dawn was awesome!! She turned me onto their boozy slushes....youza! The lemon was hard not to chug, it was so refreshing and yummy. The beer here is great too, it's just fun to have a new goodie to drink as well.

I can only assume since they moved in just 6ish months ago, the decorations are still on the way. Very new and fresh, but sterile. A lot of televisions, but every one on the same station. “Fun brewery with a nice (dog-friendly) patio in the back. The blonde stout is my favorite, it tastes somewhat like a Belgian tripel, if that's your thing.
Looks like they also have trivia a couple of times a month and they show sports games.“
“Amazing service and awesome beer in a great location. I love checking out local breweries and this place did not disappoint. They have a lot of space and different types of seating (high or low tables, bar seating and some seats on patio outside. They’re also kid & dog-friendly, though dogs must stay on outdoor patio. The beer-tenders are super friendly and helped me find the beers I like there and are awesome to talk to. I have come here a handful of times since moving to Denver from Florida and I’m comfortable reading a book on my own, sitting at the bar and chatting with the beer-tenders or regulars (who are super friendly to newcomers), or watching a game on TV. It’s a Welcoming atmosphere and has a good selection of different beer styles (e.g., hazy and west coast IPA’s, blondes and wheat ales, jalapeño blonde ale, red ale, barrel aged stout, Sour, & limited editions). Plus several of their beers are gluten reduced and one of the beer-tenders who has celiacs says she and others with gluten intolerant folks are fine drinking them. It’s definitely become my new home brewery after living here just 5 weeks! They also have a bookshelf of board and card games you can play if you want to make it a game night!“

“My friend shared the dopplebock? With me. It was surreal. I don't use that lightly. Serene? There is no aroma or hint of flavor. It was like a Newcastle fought Guinness, they both lost. Top notch. This might be the best beer I've ever had. I'll be sure to stop by next time“

“The tour of the Tower. Truly great. Be sure to go soon to see it while it is still original and a bit rough. Then go again after all the bells and whistles have been completed. It was soooo cool to see the view, hear the recording of the last transmission from the tower to the last flight to leave Stapleton airport. Learn about the history. A great experience!!!“

“As a local, it’s really nice to have Novel Strand Brewing just off the South Broadway strip. It started as a great spot for coffee and beer and has grown into a true neighborhood hub. Between trivia nights, dumpling-making classes, book gatherings, run clubs, and more, there’s always something happening. The owners have a real gift for building community and inclusivity through both the menu and the programming. It’s not easy to bring people together like this, and they do it with so much grace and intention.“

“Had a great time! We had a couple friends staying here, so the location was perfect. We made a reservation for 10 people and they had our table ready right when we arrived. The food was amazing, the pasta was great and the burgers were delicious!! The service was excellent and Mel was absolutely incredible.
