“What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I think this is the best restaurant in Boulder and I don’t say that lightly. The sweet potato appetizer is truly a unique experience. We just had small plates and didn’t even order a main course. Going here for happy hour is a great trick. They have great small plates for $8. I give this place my highest recommendation.”

“I had wanted to eat at Frasca for years, and it finally worked out. My husband and I chose the Quattro Piatti tasting menu with the half wine pairing and added the chef’s pasta course.
What impressed me most was that I was never bored or disappointed. Each course made me curious about what was coming next and how it would be presented. The chef’s pasta was outstanding, the black cod was beautifully prepared, and the presentations throughout the meal were artistic and thoughtful. Some dishes, particularly the lamb and dessert, were richer than my personal preference, but everything was interesting and carefully executed.
The wine pairing was exceptional and may have been my favorite part of the evening. I was also pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and welcoming the atmosphere felt. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I’m very glad we finally went.”

“The fact that they have live jazz bands, then play actual jazz vinyl in between sets, is just amazing! But they're food? Well, let's just say that their Crabby Pattie is better than Bikini Bottom's 😋 And, their cozy environment makes it just right”

“Visiting my bestie in Boulder & she’s been talking about this place forever. Incredibly delicious, perfectly crispy wings with every flavor you can think of! We did the flavor of the month, spicy peach (amazing), hot, bbq & lemon pepper. Their ranch is how all ranch should be made. So so so good. For $30 we got drinks, a massive basket of Cajun fries & 25 wings. One heck of great deal. Don’t sleep on the freshly brewed iced too. The hibiscus was so yummy!”

“Wow. The sushi here is phenomenal. Simple rolls, but the quality of the ingredients is outstanding. I just finished eating and I already cannot wait to come back.”

“Editing my review: rooftop margaritas can get watered down in the heat, but aside from that, have been a fan for many years. Appreciate management responding to my previous review.”

“I have eaten there twice when in Boulder and it was great each time. If you do not see anything that you like on their wonderful menu, they will custom make any crepe. They have cold water with glasses if you do not want to purchase a drink. I plan to return anytime I am in Boulder. The owners are very nice.”

“What can one say about Boxcar that hasn’t already been said - the coffee (espresso in my case) is the best in Boulder and the pastries are the best in the state. That’s all great, but what most reviewers are hesitant to bring up is that the, yes super friendly, staff takes an almost manic pride in delivering an un-rushed customer experience, to the point of noticeably longer than industry standard wait times, not only for the queue (exorbitant chit chat at checkout), and drink preparation (ostensibly in pursuit of high product quality), and most oddly; whisper-volume name callouts for completed orders, as if speaking the guest’s name audibly above the noise of the shop would imply impatience. Does any of this make me come to this shop less? No. We can love a thing when its virtues outnumber its flaws.”

“Took us ten years of living in CO to find a great steakhouse that matched our favorite steakhouse in OK. I dare say, Steakhouse 316 is even better! It is amazing EVERY time we go. Be sure to get the table side Caesar. And why is black salted butter for the bread so much yummier than all other salt??”

“Stella's is a strange restaurant. It seems to want to be an over-the-top elegant speakeasy which ideas don't mesh well. It's hard to find the door; speakeasy vibe. Cute. Once found, the interior seems to have been designed by some world famous Italian. Way overdone. It felt like sitting in a museum of modern Italian design. However the food was excellent yet the service seemed tentative as though the place had just opened. And it wasn't particular busy. We may give it a try again in a few months to see whether they have figured themselves out.”

“I was ready to give this place a five star review, until the pork came out. It wasn't bad, it just didnt hold it's place in the line up of other impressive foods. So what else was there that was impressive? The chicken liver mousse with fresh bread! The ricotta with again fresh bread! The risotto with scallops strategically hidden in it! And the pizza was very flavorful! Overall it was was a beautiful economic tasting menu.”

“I came across this place totally by accident as I was looking for a place that opens past 9p. I was so surprised to see an authentic Chinese menu and the pork intestine noodle is amongst the best I have ever had. Having lived in several cities with dense Chinese population, I was extremely pleasantly surprised by this gem in Boulder of all places. I will for sure be back to try other dishes.”

“Our first time dining at this place though we have wanted to go for a while after someone posted about it after they opened. Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!”
