“Lafayette is fortunate to have such a lovely, warm, cozy, and gorgeous chocolatier here in our old town area. I love the gelato, and the chocolates are incredible gifts. On Thursday nights, it's nice to pop in and have tea or hot chocolate and listen to local talent play the grand piano, too!

Kid-friendliness: Kids love the wonderful chocolates to look at (and of course, to try)... it's a circus for the eyes! the chairs and tables are comfortable. Even with kids who love to run around and get crazy, ours don't even think of doing that. They sit nicely with their ice creams and enjoy a quiet and sweet time... in peace.“

“Oh my goodness - my first time trying Van Leeuwen and WOW just WOW.

It was so incredible. I'm vegan and it can be hard-pressed to find excellent vegan ice cream.

I was so excited to see all of their delicious flavors vegan flavors, and to learn that their hot fudge is naturally vegan! I had the vegan strawberry shortcake ice cream with hot fudge and have been craving it ever since.

Absolutely delicious and the cutest store. Can't wait to be back!

“I went here because I got a birthday coupon for an ice cream and I decided to treat myself. I ordered using the Cold Stone app, which was absolutely flawless. When I arrive, I'm told they are out of BOTH flavors I had requested in my creation. I accept their substitutions and go on my way. (The guys at the counter made me a little extra to make up for having to substitute.) Anyway, I got my follow-up email from the restaurant manager and I let her know about my experience. She wasted no time in acknowledging the problem, apologizing for the error, and making sure they made it right but giving me my next creation free. This is the kind of customer service that is absolutely disappearing from the marketplace. Once upon a time, this was how ALL businesses resolved their customer issues. I don't know who decided this practice was a bad idea and should be phased out, but they should be shot!

In my opinion, there is nothing that makes a business really shine to me other than the level of customer service they are willing to commit to. What you will find here is that level of customer service from way back when it was still a valued and appreciated part of any business interaction.

Cookies are made to order and baked so allow at least 15 minutes. We were handed the hot.cookie smooshed in wax paper and partially melted. It was more of a volcano cake then cookie. She was friendly and answered my questions about how often the flavors get changed out. She said about every week they change the featured flavor. The froyo is good and creamy. Seems to melt pretty fast though. So if you add too many toppings you'll have a puddle to drink in the bottom of your cup. I always get the cheesecake peices and fresh strawberry toppings when I go here. Always good and tasty. I spent $11+ dollars today just on my own cup.
