“This place is severely underrated if you ask me!!! I say this because several of my local friends that I’d consider foodies haven’t tried it before but luckily I stumbled upon this absolute gem almost 10yrs ago on my way to Estes park & boy am I glad I did… The bison pie is probably in my top ten meals I’ve had in my 14yrs in Colorado. And I am always pleased by their wonderful selection of jarred items from that adorable back room shop but my favorite go tos are the Chow Chow & Vidallia onion mustard. We live in Westminster & don’t make it out towards RMNP nearly as often as I’d like but this is a mandatory stop on our route any chance we get. Plus it’s a wonderful option to take any family/friends who are visiting the area — Guaranteed good meal plus those jarred items make perfect souvenirs/gifts.“

“We were unlucky enough to have a clutch cable snap on my motorcycle, but lucky enough that it happened not too far from Spirit Hound. The staff were amazing. They brought us iced water and checked on us while we made towing arrangements (it was super hot outside!). We decided to make the best of a bad thing and wait in the distillery. The cocktails were incredible, the charcuterie was amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were great. Despite the situation, we thoroughly enjoyed our accidental afternoon at Spirit Hound and we look forward to returning on purpose one day soon!“

“Shout out to the staff at Moxie Mercantile! My wife and I parked on the street next to their building today and went to walk around Main Street shops in Lyons, Co. I must have left the accessory on in my truck when I gapped the windows. When I came back to start the truck to let it cool off, it was completely dead. I went in to ask if there was a towing service in town that could give me a jump. The folks behind the counter said they weren’t sure. The next thing I know, one of the guys behind the counter brings me a jump start battery pack. I was blown away! I went out to jump the truck and was waiting for my battery to charge up. Just then, one of the other workers who was getting off at the end of her shift stopped to ask if I wanted her to jump it with her car. She pulled right up and we jumped the truck. We were on our way in no time, that is, after I got my quad iced espresso that had been frustratingly delayed by my battery. The coffee was good, but the service was sensational! Great people working at Moxie Mercantile! We will definitely stop in on our next visit from Iowa. Thank you so much!“

“The Dairy Bar is so much more than an ice cream and candy shop (although it's the BEST of those too). Our family loves the Impossible Burgers and french fries, and we're so grateful to have them as a go-to for treats as well as when we don't feel like cooking! 😋“
