“We had such a lovely time at Spuntino. The service was excellent and all of the food was delicious. We ordered the Capellini Aglio e Olio and the Lasagna. Both had an Indian spice flavor to them which was great. Ordered the Arancini as well which were very good and they were even kind enough to bring us an order of Focaccia on the house because “it’s just too good to pass up”. They were right! Will definitely be back.“
“Was so excited to finally get to use the gift certificate from my step-daughter as a Christmas gift. I opted for the degustazione menu option and it did not disappoint! I also chose the regular wine pairing option to accompany my meal. From the moment I was seated (as a solo diner, I opted for a seat at the bar), the service could not have been any better. I started with a slightly-dirty martini that was superb as I looked over the menu offerings. The dining experience started with the insalata d'inverno (warm salad of brussels spout leaves) - it was incredible, and would be my first choice upon a return visit. It was paired with a Roscetto Cotarella - a nice smooth wine reminiscent to me of a buttery chardonnay. For the primi piatti, I elected to go with the tagliatelle ai funghi. It was so hearty and tasty, it easily could be a meal in and of itself. The pairing with the Langhe Nebbiolo was quite nice. For the secondi piatti I went with the cassoulet ai frutti di mare. It was loaded with sizable portions of wonderfully prepared seafood with a superb flavor. That said, I admittedly enjoyed the tagliatelle more. I ended the evening with the panna cotta for dessert. I am not a fan of sweet wines, so my server switched the pairing to the incredible Daniele Conterno barolo. Definitely my favorite wine of the evening. All in all, I would absolutely return, confident that my next visit would be just as memorable.“
“My wife and I had an amazing time at Tavernetta! Each dish was fantastic, expertly matched with outstanding cocktails that truly stood out. Tavernetta is a must-visit for an unparalleled dining experience because of its unwavering commitment to excellence in cuisine and beverages. The service is second to none—great job! I look forward to coming back!“
“Great pizza spot! Lots of choices and all are fantastic. Good vibe on the inside, but the service was not good at all. I’m not one to write bad reviews, but Marco gave us awful service. He was not attentive and didn’t really have a good attitude. We had to constantly remind him for refills, boxes, and he would take his time coming back to check on us. Everything was 10/10! Would be back.“
“My friend and I used to go to the Boulder location, but will be permanently switching to this one. Savannah and Tim were probably one of the nicest people in the industry I’ve met in a long time. Their hospitality was absolutely fantastic and I will be coming back just to see them. Justin was our server. He was really friendly and even gave us suggestions and places to go after overall solid 10 out of 10 experience.“
“This pizza was excellent. Probably the best on the strip there that I’ve had. The bar stools were fun and the service was quick. Drink specials weren’t too bad either, so stop in for the happy hour. Would pop in again next time I’m passing through Denver.“
“Aline was our lovely waitress and she was so attentive We thought the caesar salad, the pasta pesto prosciutto dish and the marinara sauce and italian sausage sandwich were very tasty with our Tuscan blend red wine. The prices are the best we’ve seen in a restaurant of this stature. We live on the east coast but look forward to taking our family here upon our next visit Prego y Grazi Colore my World ?????♥️“
“Every course of the meal was delicious and all offerings were appealing on this Denver Restaurant Week menu. The bread was fresh with a crunchy crust. The burrata was generous, flavorful and attractively presented. The minestrone had the right amount of spice and the pasta in it was al dente. The eggplant parmesian was stacked high with a generous amount of traditional red sauce. The limoncello cake was light and lemony and paired well with a double espresso. Can't say enough about the totality of enjoyment in this experience.“
“One of the best dining experiences I have had in Denver. The bartender Melody made phenomenal drinks. Food was delicious. The potato gnocchi might have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We shared the beef brisket and pork tenderloin entrees. Both were 5 stars. Thank you guys for an amazing dinner!“
“A wonderful place to eat. My dinner club had this on the list and they did not disappoint. The Spaghetti, Tagliatelle and Ravioli were all wonderful. The chopped salad was a perfect addition and their drinks are so unique. I had the Watermelon Boulevadier, a must try. The dessert was a Tiramisu and my favorite was the olive oil chocolate cake. Definitely returning! A must try!!“
“Coperta was exceptional in every way. The Restaurant Week menu was creative and absolutely delicious. One of the best Ragu/Bolognese dishes I have ever had. Our server was wonderful, attentive and so knowledgeable. And the ambience. Truly felt like we were in a wonderful trattoria in a village in Italy. What a wonderful evening, in so many ways!“
“Voghera Ristorante & Apericena is the only place in Denver where my husband & I can reexperience the kind of dining we enjoyed—no, loved—throughout northern Italy, in Milan and in the Piemonte wine region last year. Once again, last night we thoroughly appreciated the menu choices (many more choices than other restaurants offer during Denver Restaurant Week), the presentation of our selections, the amount of food provided in each course (more than ample), the timing (appropriate brief pauses between courses to digest, enjoy our wine, and anticipate the next course), the professional service provided by our server, the food runner/presenter (the owner with his energetic demeanor and Italian accent!), and prompt clearing of used items by a third person. Where else in Denver, at this price point, does your server bring an arranged tray of silverware to your table to replace any you have used or to provide you with the correct knife for your main course? We were thrilled with our wine choice—an Arneis from Piemonte—that complemented our meal selections perfectly. If you have traveled to places where food is treated with respect, you know the joy of experiencing the terroir of the area you are in. We feel this is what owner Marco & his team are providing to us in Denver. I would like to suggest that people who choose to come to this restaurant try to adopt an attitude of dining & savoring rather than just eating & drinking. Four at a table in our lovely back dining room were loud and raucous as would be appropriate in a sports bar but not in this setting. Their behavior affected the dining experiences of everyone else in the room. If you allow a dining experience here to transport you to northern Italy, you will feel the price is more than worth it.“
“Went in on a Tuesday around noon. Had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had - *definitely* the best Detroit style. Thanks to Tim for the great service and suggestions! Eggplant fries with the aioli and red sauce was also spectacular. Thanks guys, you nailed it!“
“Best wood fired neapolitan style pizza in town! Fresh high-quality ingredients, great flavor combinations. So excited we can get delivery for lazy stay-in nights, though we do love the patio ambiance especially summer afternoons.p.s. The beet salad is amazing.Vegetarian options: Beet salad, veggie pizza, garden pizza, wild mushroom pizza, pesto cream pasta“
“Stopped in here a long time ago with our newborn son. The owner came out and talked to us about a tradition with young babies and it was just so sweet. Was finally around the neighborhood and just stopped in for some dessert. SO good. I need to get back there, often.“
“Great locally owned pizza place that has charm for days. Big Bill’s looks like what you want a hidden gem, hole in the wall pizza place to look like - lots of old dark wood, booths for seating (with lots of people dining in), has a great mural on the wall in memory of 9/11, you can see people making your food and the staff is really friendly. Our pizza had a great flavor. It was well made and the ingredients tasted fresh. Nothing about it (or the business itself) is exceptionally fancy, but everything was solidly good.Families and foodies alike, if you’re looking for fresh ingredients without the fuss, this is your stop. And be sure to try their homemade meatballs and cheesecake - both are delish.Vegetarian options: Vegetables tasted freshParking: It’s in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the lot.Kid-friendliness: I brought our toddler in and she immediately asked if we could eat in. It has such an inviting and warm atmosphere. I saw a lot of families with children dining in. We’ll definitely be back and eat there.“
“About a year ago I had a negative restaurant experience that left me deeply traumatized. After 7 months of experimental psilocybin therapy I was encouraged to attempt dining out again. I used to love going to Angelos, so I decided to revisit a once beloved spot for my exposure treatment. The comfort and warmth that our server, Andrew, brought to the table is an experience I am eternally grateful for. Being served by Andrew was like being welcomed home after being deployed. With frictionless food to table service, the anxieties that restaurant service brought before were washed away. No frills, no upselling, just a man feeding me delicious food, authentically, with a smile on his face. Thank you Andrew! Without your service I might not have ever felt confident enough to dine out again.“
“This restaurant is stunning! From the decor to the food and the service! We where treated like long lost family and had the absolute best time. For the experience and the food this restaurant is well priced. I recommend the ravioli made with the butternut squash, so good! This was an experience us folks from Kansas won't soon forget and if we are ever back in Denver we will return! Thank you for creating such a warm and inviting place! God Bless!“
“Solidly 3.8 stars, rounded up to 4. It felt like a hotel restaurant to me, albeit a nice one, and then I went to the bathroom and my suspicions were confirmed. Something about hotel restaurants - they just never can be as good, right? The wine list was daunting, but the waiter brought samples of two reds. Neither was incredible and I confused the glasses, don't even know which one I went with but it did the job. The food was decent, better than what I felt like whipping up, but I wasn't too sad that we couldn't take it with us -- we were going to see Ilana Glazer at the theatre down the road !!! (10/10 stars, love her so much) The location of this spot is great - walking distance to two big venues - and I think it would have been better if we'd done more appetizers / a bottle of wine instead of the entrees. Idk, probs won't be back.“
“Really good restaurant. We usually eat lunch here. The menu is large enough that we can find a great meal. Portions are generous and that means that most of the time you'll carry boxes out. The waitstaff is friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended!“
“Stopped by for restaurant week and had a great time. The service was phenomenal. They welcome you in with some prosecco (and focaccia/butter shortly after), they prepare the food at a great pace, and I really appreciated how they boxed up our leftovers and kept them in the back until the check. The food was all good. I thought the Luca salad was lacking, but the mussels and grilled ciabatta tasted great. The tagliatelle shrimp fra diavolo was good, but I preferred the mushroom fussili. The burrata-stuffed chicken parmesan didn't have much burrata in it, but it tasted delicious and had a nice crisp to it. The short rib was also tasty. We were celebrating my birthday, so they offered me a free dessert and brought out a candle. We chose the tiramisu, which tasted fantastic.“
“Traveling for work, I found myself in wheat-ridge for 6 months. I was craving some sliced Italian deli meats and some Italian sweets and found this place nearby according to google. Omg I found heaven!Sliced my meat for me while I picked out some cannoli and pizzelle. Calabrisi was spicy good! I’ve since moved again but while I lived in wheat-ridge, I visited this place every two weeks.“
“The pizza and drinks here are legit. The service was remarkable…first off! Super friendly server helped me narrow down my choices. Ended up with the clam pizza and the house pizza. Both were super delicious…and don’t forget to try the hot sauce, it’s divine. Drinks were generous, particularly the Tom Collin’s with honey! Definitely will return.“
“Delicious Bruschetta & Amazing Service! We had a fantastic experience at Postino 9CO! The bruschetta board was a real highlight - we absolutely loved it. Each topping was fresh and flavorful, and the bread was perfectly toasted. We especially enjoyed the combination of smoky salmon, the sweetness of the fig jam with apples and brie, the unique twist of roasted shaved brussel sprouts, and the sweet and spicy jam with fresh herbs. But what truly impressed us was the service. Our server, Sam, was terrific! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our experience was enjoyable. Thanks to Sam and the great food, we had a wonderful night at Postino 9CO. We'll definitely be back!“
“This restaurant is a lovely little secret! When you’re searching for Italian restaurants on Google it will show you the most popular ones, but you really have to zoom in for this gem to show up! The staff were super kind, the food was excellent, and the desserts - delectable. I’ll be coming back for sure !“
“WOW!!! Im so happy we came here for my birthday... the food was hot and so tasty! Cheers to the chef! We all had different dishes and each one of us were amazed... giving this restaurant a huge thumbs up! The ambiance was perfect the waiter was top notch and so sweet and kindThey made us feel so welcome and I loved the fresh roses on each table! Super impressed and will definitely be coming back ?EXCELLENT and DELICIOUS RESTAURANT“
“Growing up whenever we made trips back to visit our family in a small town in Illinois, we would always do a low key dinner with all the aunts, uncles and cousins from an restaurant that did spaghetti by the bucket. It was a great way to feed the huge group and I have great memories from that. I was very excited to see that experience coming here to Denver and it did not disappoint. My wife couldn't say enough about how nice the owner was when we picked up our order, the kids love spaghetti and meatballs, and who doesn't like a loaf of buttery garlic bread?! This is definitely going to be on our repeat list, especially when we have our kids friends and families over for a bigger meals, simple, delicious and very easy!“
“There were two gentlemen, employees, standing at the host station and I’m sure they were just observing the seating but we were seated right behind the host station and it was a little uncomfortable as it felt like they were watching us eat. Other than that we enjoyed our time and our server was amazing. His name was Lindsey and he was amazing!! Ask for him if you can!!“
“Gargaro’s is an awesome no frills old school Italian bakery and sandwich shop. The sub sandwiches are huge, especially for the price. If you get the grinder be sure to add capicola for a little extra! All of the breads, pastries and cookies are amazing. They also have an assortment of freshly made pastas, sauce, sausage, pizza dough, sausage and pepper cannolis, cream filled cannolis. This place is legit!“
“What a gem! We arrived on a Monday evening (7:30PM ish) and was quoted a 30 min wait, but was seated no more than 15 mins later! This is definitely the best dining experience I’ve had in Denver. Coming from the east coast, I haven’t found an Italian spot that I loved until Dio Mio. From the handmade pasta to the service that makes you feel like family, I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything was thoughtfully made and plated. Of the many dishes, the lasagna, squid ink pasta, & pork stole the show for us. Overall, you can’t go wrong here. We will definitely be back! ?“
“I was in Lakewood for a visit, saw the sign and thought, "I wonder if that's the same place that we practically lived in, 48 years ago? " I was expecting our son, and their spaghetti & meatballs was the only thing that I consistently craved. Much to my delight, it is!! Fabulous salad, complete with the shredded provolone and truly perfect bread. But the moment I had the pasta, it brought me right back! The sauce is still rich, so flavorful and the traditional thick, yet tender noodles make it near perfect! Also, the same generous portions. No "shrink-flation" here.Thank you for the trip down memory lane. We've been gone from the area since 1984, and don't visit much. This will draw us back more often. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly and attentive servers and host. Way to go, Amici's!Kid-friendliness: This is still a family-friendly, kid-friendly restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a rollator, they have made it very easy to get around safely.“
“Chose this restaurant specifically because it was highly rated on Open Table; North Italia, in turn, in real time, demonstrated why. It was magnificent- the beef carpaccio was utterly sublime; the simple salad- anything but- complex and savory dressing, perfect amount of texture with the nuts and dots of creamy gorgonzola- and the salmon main dish is essay worthy- all of this with gracious, professional and attentive service. Could not recommend this fine establishment any more enthusiastically.“
“This place is usually really good, Foods great but the problem is this guy in the photo (Tyler). Apparently this jerk is the manager, he is extremely rude and will server anyone but me. Last time I went here he neglected to serve me and waited on 4 other tables before bothering to come over. Georgia was my server this time and she was wonderful! Very respectful, on top of everything and no delays with any requests (I order a complicated drink). Can't wait to go back and see the other waitresses again!Update: another visit with a wonderful server! Food was great again and enjoyed a nice lunch.“
“A patient Coopers' Hawk on the fence at Virgilio's... maybe on the waitlist?Sanitized everywhere I looked. Very clean considerate and tasty. Better pizza than the new place on Wadsworth. Greatest restaurant you will find in Littleton and its worth the drive as our Denver people will agree. They drive here to see us or is it to go to Virgilio's.“
“We love this place and we are so lucky it’s just around the corner. It’s unimpressive from the outside but it’s great on the inside . Most importantly the food is excellent. The pizza is excellent and I love their arugula salad. Highly recommend.“
“I went in about a week ago for a dinner with my friend and was blown away with my lobster gnocchi. The oysters my friend and I split were amazing as well. Our waitress, Kayla, had a bubbly personality and was very attentive. She was the one who recommended the lobster gnocchi! She ran our drinks and food out very quick and never felt rushed with the check.“
“Very delicious pizza and great bang for your buck especially for a hole in the wall place in the middle of downtown Denver.About $25 after tax for 2 slices, 1 combo and 1 calzone. The space is a little small but again…downtown :D.Restrooms kept very clean but protected by keycode.“
“Wow what an excellent location. I am a service manager myself and I was personally astonished with this whole location! Staff seems so excited to be here and ready to work and let’s just not forget about Jeromy the assistant GM. We were standing in the waiting room, he got us chairs, he found out we were first time visitors and checked on us multiple times through the whole experience. We were able to try menu items before making a decision! I can tell this manager cares not only about his job, staff, and customers! Go you!“
“Wow! Who knew there was such an authentic Italian venue in Denver. Homemade artisan pasta with creative sauces and entrees. Try the bolognese as it is one of a kind. The wood-fired pizza reminded us of what we had in Venice, IT! The bar and wine list is loaded with special finds. My wife found the Paloma cocktail to be fabulous. I fell in love with wine list especially. If you’re in Denver this is a MUST! Cheers.“
“Came here for lunch and had a great experience! I got the eggplant parm with spaghetti, I saw online that it came with red pepper flakes and I’m a wimp that can’t do spicy foods, so I asked and they said they could leave it off, it was absolutely delicious! Brought the ricotta cookies home to my family and they were a huge hit! Would definitely come back to try more of their menu. Really great option for casual but good quality Italian.“
“This place was great. The atmosphere really held up to its name. The food was excellent and the service superb. We will definitely return for the entire package.Parking: Parking is just across the street, just make sure to give yourself plenty of time to be early and find a spot there.Kid-friendliness: Kid menus are handed out automatically and the portion sizes are perfect.“
“We had a fantastic dinner last night! Easy to get a reservation and they were ready for us the minute we arrived. Makayla was our waitress and she was amazing! She had great knowledge of the menu and was spot on in her recommendations! Kudos to kitchen as everything was perfect!“
“If you have not been here, but you are aware of it, you absolutely need to go. And then you need to let yourself grieve for however many years you missed. This is my favorite Italian in the Denver city area. I nearly always get the Pollo Elegante. It's thinly sliced Chicken in a Marsala Cream Sauce, with a splash of Cognac. *Chef's Kiss* And I always order a plate of Penne Vodka and put it in the middle of the table, for everyone dining with me, to enjoy as well. You have not had better. Try the Tortellini alla Panna, it's perfection as well.“
“Just enjoyed our first meal at Benzina. I would consider myself a "foodie" and can honestly say their pizza was amazing! It's like the pizza I remember having in Italy. A friend recommended it and I wholeheartedly agree. The best pizza! Other dishes looked great also. I'll have to try them although I may just want their pizza again. Definitely worth going. You'll pay more than most other pizza restaurants but probably worth it.“
“Bar Red is one of those undiscovered treasures by many in the Denver area. The unassuming front of the business doesn't come close to portraying the friendly service and excellent food inside! The intimate setting, knowledgeable Som (Tomasz), service-oriented owner (Zach), and meticulous chef who takes pride in his work (Luke) all make for a relaxed and fulfilling experience. Whenever we're downtown for a show we include Bar Red in the evening's plans. However, it is their monthly wine dinners that are not to be missed! Luke really demonstrates his talents with some unbelievable dishes paired well with a wine for each course. Small wonder that you see familiar faces here as they have a loyal fan base. Come try it for yourself!Mark & Nancy“
“One of the best hidden hole in the wall Italian place. Literally everything on the menu is delicious. It's a small place, so expect to wait a bit to get in, but food is worth the wait. Kitchen is in the middle of restaurant, so expect to have smelly clothes when going home.“
“First time in my life that I did NOT leave crust on my plate!Do not sleep on this place! We've tried several different signature pizzas but The Six Mile High is our favorite. They have great salads, pasta, and wings too. It's so good our Doordasher stole our pizza! THANK YOU to Red Tops for remaking our order and getting it out to us. Next time we'll visit in person.Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten free pizza option“
“We had a fantastic experience at Venice! We’ve lived in Denver for 20 years and we never knew this place existed. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing, so authentic! We went with our 3 kids (13, 10 and 10), they ordered off the kids menu and loved the fettuccini Alfredo. The service was excellent, and our server, Gillian was on point. I can’t say enough good things about him. We will most definitely be back. I would recommend this place to anyone. This place is really nice and intimate feeling. Great for a date night or a family dinner, so long you have well behaved kids who love good food.“
“Highly recommended quaint family-owned Italian restaurant serving delicious pizza and pasta made from fresh, high quality ingredients. 5 stars :)Walking into Romano’s, which has been serving the Littleton area since 1967, gives you the feeling of entering an Italian grandma’s home rather than a business. As soon as you arrive, you know there’s delicious food made with love in your future. Before ordering we asked what they make in-house; they said: dough, sauce, meatballs and some noodles. We, of course, tried all of those things. Our pizza was fresher than the mountain air and ohhh so cheesy. Their pizza has a very slight sweetness to it (the opposite being the more acidic and salty/savory flavor). A sweeter pizza is hard to come by, so this was a great find for us!We also got the spaghetti and meatball with homemade noodles (they have non-homemade noodles as an option also). The noodles were thick and fresh, but were a little soggy. The seasonings for the sauce and meatball weren’t my favorite, but I forgave it because it tasted so freshly homemade.Well definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: Their cheese is delicious, so you could stop at a cheese pizza and have a delicious vegetarian optionParking: There is on street parallel parking in front of the building, however, it’s on a busy street. If you’re not up for that challenge, there’s a marked lot down the street about a half a block.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly at atmosphere and our daughter absolutely loves the homemade spaghetti and meatball“
“A very unique American-style restaurant, pizza is the most important food variety in the restaurant. Various snacks and pastas also taste good. The day I went was a weekend and there were many parents dining with their children in the restaurant, so this place should be very suitable for family gatherings.“
