“Overall a good experience. The wait was double what we expected. The food was very good. We came to this place when it was a bistro, so the atmosphere was excellent albeit hard surfaces which increase the volume.

I would recommend this place for sushi. The fish is very fresh and reasonably varied. Your not getting a high end mix of fish, but that's expected. The Nigiri had the appropriate mix of rice and fish, which most sushi restaurants do not get right. The Sashimi were cut in a very nice sized portion.

We will be back. 2 people are much faster to seat than 3-4 given the tables available.“

“Great food, friendly staff, and a relaxing vibe. I had a great experience at Happy Sumo. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were surprisingly generous for the price. The Baja and Cabana rolls were standouts, and the seared tuna tataki was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere had a nice energy without being too loud. It’s a solid spot for a casual sushi night, and I’ll definitely be back. Also wanted to shoutout Tyler the manager. He is super amazing, very friendly and cordial and I'm glad they have someone like him to run the place!“

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but our entire experience from start to finish was amazing. It's a great place for a small office gathering. We went early in the evening on a Thursday, and it probably helped that they weren't super busy at that time. The wine list was small (which was expected), but had quality wines. We will definitely be back.“
