“We ordered the battered fish tacos and grilled shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. It was packed in there and almost closing time when we went, but to see all the staff work together and get everyone taken care of quickly and efficiently was cool to watch and experience. The black beans are DELICIOUS! The Zucchini was grilled to perfection. If you haven't tried the grilled corn, do it... you won't regret it! The fries were PERFECT... the crunchiness was uniform on all of them, not a soggy one on the plate!”

“3 companions and I dined at Populaire Modern Bistro in South Coast Plaza on 2/21/24 and I ordered the prix fixe menu. We bought a bottle of wine separately. The PF menu was $65 per person and well worth it. Everything was spectacular. The blending of flavors with the heirloom carrots was unique. I'm not normally a huge fan of tartare normally, but it was really flavorful. The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender and even the rice pudding - which I can normally take or leave - had some wonderful, unexpected flavors. Don't be fooled by the "bistro" label. This was definitely a cut above the normal bistro fare of steak and frites or Croque Monsieur.Our server was warm and efficient. She was friendly enough to stop and talk but took her cue from us, which was much appreciated. The location used to be part of the Corner Bakery chain. It was remodeled in part, but it's in South Coast Plaza mall so not a ton of atmosphere. Once you taste the food, you won't care!”

They specialize in Impossible-patty burgers dressed up every way imaginable. The quality is superb, bread is perfectly fluffy, fries are crispy and soft on the inside, sauces taste much more gourmet than typical condiments you’d find. The chicken and fish patties are made with Gardein brand soy-proteins. They are stylized like a fast food joint with kiosk ordering and open seating inside. A burger, side and fries cost $26. I'm currently pregnant so we were offered options to satisfy my cravings, my husband got his options too and everything tasted so good. “Best kept secret! I went to Ciao to catch up with an old friend. We shared a pizza and were able to order half buffalo chicken amd half Tuscan. Such a great idea when you're unable to choose just one option! The pizza was fantastic, but the real winner here are the wings. I absolutely love wings and get them everywhere I can. Ciao's wings are incredibly plump, juicy and flavorful. I can't stop thinking about them. “Amazing Valentine’s weekend dinner! Six courses made for a most Indulgent Aphrodisiac’s menu created by Chef Tony. The plating was exquisite, service very attentive, and relatively low-carb, very copicetic with my diabetic precautions. The French Chardonnay we had enjoyed was lovely, paired well particularly with the scallop crudo, oyster and lobster dishes. It was also a pleasure to meet and chat with Yassmin, the co-owner and wife of Chef Tony. We are planning to dine here again, next time for The restaurant’s High Tea, which is offered on Sunday afternoons.”

The service is attentive and very polite. No complaints. The owner is sometimes at the shop, and he's very knowledgeable on any of the food items. The tables are always clean. Both have real fruit and are incredibly refreshing. As with other boba places, you can adjust the sweetness level. Service is professional and efficient, and the interior is clean and welcoming. Will likely be my go-to dessert place after ramen at Kitakata! Highly recommend a visit.”

“I stumbled upon this modern looking coffee spot hidden away in a plaza, and it was an awesome find! The pastries immediately caught my eye, each one looking extremely vibrant and rich. I got an iced chai, which was rich with a complex blend of spices. I feel like chais at other coffee shops are pretty plain when it comes to the blend of spices, but that is definitely not the case with this place. One thing that really stood out is how each drink was carefully handcrafted with attention to detail. Angel who was working at that time looked like a true artisan with how meticulous he was with every detail. The only slight letdown was the honey used as the sweetener. It wasn't quite to my taste, but that's more about personal preference than it is quality. I'll be back to try their golden ratio which is a turmeric latte and some of those irresistible looking pastries.”

“Simply Sweet Cakery was one of the wedding cake vendors through our wedding venue University Club by Wedgewood Weddings. Brooke and Christina were a delight to work with and so organized! To be completely honest, we actually did two different cake tastings because we were a little concerned with the cake texture during our first tasting and we wanted to try some additional flavors. We ended up choosing two cake flavors: lemon raspberry and red velvet. Let me tell you...I was completely blown away by the final product on our wedding day. The wedding cake was actually a priority for us, but let me tell you...it was delicious!! During our cake cutting, I stuck my fork in the cake for another bite because the initial bite was THAT GOOD. It wasn't overly sweet and the texture was spot on and so moist. So so happy that they were one of the preferred vendors of my venue!!”

“This place has been around for a long time, and there's good reason why, when most fast food restaurants go out of business in a few years. I first ate here almost 20 years ago when I lived in the area. I left many years ago but whenever I am in the area, I still make it a point to go have their chicken burrito. It is that awesome. The burrito consists of just shredded chicken with sauce wrapped in tortilla. No rice, beans or anything else. That's what makes it so unique, and honestly, the best tasting burrito I've ever had. Highly recommended for Mexican food lovers.”

“I have eaten at this El Pollo Loco for decades, and it has always been great. Wilson, Reyna, Silvia, Tina, Juan...they have an outstanding staff that cares about the customer experience. The bone-in chicken, the burritos, the special item (birria/carnitas/...), the tostadas, the salads, the sides, and the chicken tortillas soup are all consistently fresh, hot (well, not the salads), and delicious.”

But my absolute favorite drink here is the The Nook Way. It's a cold brew with chicory, hazelnut syrup, and oat milk. I feel it's a nailed perfection of flavors.I did try the iced Spanish latte, but it wasn't for me. The cinnamon was too overpowering in the drink that it eclipsed the other flavors. I do believe there's an option to tell them to leave out the cinnamon though.Service is hit or miss in terms of friendliness. I have encountered welcoming and cheery vibes about 50% of the time. I think the gentleman with the baseball cap is usually friendly, as is the other gentleman with longer, slightly wavy hair. But the shop is always lightening fast at making drinks compared to other coffee shops, so I won't nitpick too much on friendly service.Space: it's small, so don't expect to sit here for conversations with friends, or to study. There are some limited seats inside, but it's more for waiting for your order.I am also sad they disabled the ability to do online orders or to call in to place a phone order. I'm guessing the traffic for the small space of their shop could be why they're no longer doing online orders because the online ordered drinks could just overtake the counter space.Parking here can be a pain in the butt, so I've yet to figure out a secret to getting parking. I got the Deluxe and it was everything I imagined it to be. They gave a cute mini ball of rice at the end to soak up the leftover yummy sauce. “just a passing visitor, I found this coffee shop within walking distance of where I was staying. based on the menu and pricing looked like a good place to get a cup of coffee for a decent price. I arrived in the atmosphere, was very welcoming, and a perfect spot to work remotely. I ordered a 8 ounce cup of black coffee. Their drip coffee is medium roast but one of the blends is lighter than the other and I enjoyed that. I also ordered a eggs Florentine burrito and switched out the spinach for potatoes. Salsa was excellent with the burrito, they offer free Wi-Fi and have outlets to charge your laptop along the walls if you are able to snag a spot. I worked and stayed at Hola Adios, for about 2 1/2 hours and left before they closed. The staff was very welcoming and nice and even gave me a free refill of my coffee before I left, I think that was because they were closing soon. highly recommend this coffee shop for coffee at a great price or alternatively, a nice spot to work remotely from. They have great music and a great staff. I wish bathroom door wasn’t fog glass, but a very nice aesthetic and atmosphere. highly recommend hole in the wall.”

“I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.”

The only drawback is that the kidney flower content is too little, the knife skills are lacking, and the thickness and size of the kidney flower are very irregular. The beef in the Boiled Beef and Fat Sausage Double Combo was a very thin slice of meat, not marinated for flavor, and the meat selected was relatively poor; the cold vegetable scallion chicken was a tender chicken, which was not flavorful enough, and the presentation was not bad. This small restaurant is Sichuan cuisine eaten by Chinese people. It is not catered to foreigners, but the spicy taste is mild, so it is suitable for spicy beginners.”
