“We have been loyal customers of Bonsai for years, whether we’re dining in or grabbing takeout! My wife’s go-to is the dinner bento box, and I’m a huge fan of the chicken teriyaki dinner. Everything is consistently fresh and delicious.
One thing you absolutely cannot miss is their salad with their special dressing, it is truly out of this world! Everyone I’ve recommended this place to says the exact same thing. If you're looking for quality Japanese cuisine and a spot that treats you like a regular, this is it.“

“This place was a random pit-stop for us, as we were heading back from UCONN to Norwalk and it was one of the best culinary surprises.
It's a business with very well mannered staff; our waiter was very friendly, he didn't mind answering my questions about the little sides they served us before our food came out and he was polite the entire time.
The food was excellent!!! We had mussles, served in a light broth, heated in a chafer dish with a small burner, edamame salted just the right way, Seafood Udon Stir Fry and Eel Sushi (accompanied by additional complimentary avocado roll).
The nonalcoholic beer tasted good and my kiddo loved her Japanese soda (Ramune).
If I'm in the area again, I will make sure to stop by and try other dishes from the menu.“

“I had an outstanding experience at Teriyaki Madness in West Hartford thanks to the amazing night staff on 5/29/25! Kirsten who goes by Kris, took my order, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and ensured I felt comfortable with my choices because my first option was sold out for the day! Brendon was equally impressive! His charm and respectfulness shone through as he assisted Kirsten by handing out the orders and keeping the dining area clean. I arrived just before closing, but both Kirsten and Brendon maintained their enthusiasm and were eager to serve me. Their teamwork made the experience even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated their dedication to excellent customer service. I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner pit stop after a long day of work! Thank you, Kirsten and Brendon, for making my first visit memorable!“

“‼️Really delicious food, I'd call it excellent! If you enjoy sushi, this is the place to go. Sometimes on the weekends the parking lot is packed full, so if you enjoy their food, it may be better to simply call ahead. However, there are a few inaccuracies on their this Facebook website. First their current hours are posted as "always open", of couse this cannot be true in the least bit. “I came here yesterday evening, and the food came out quickly. It was very good and flavorful especially for my first time here. Overall, it was a great experience. The place was clean, and the person at the front counter was truly kind. The chefs also came out and were very friendly. I would definitely come here again. The noodles were very delicious.“
