“Finally made it here after years of driving by.

We started with a Pineapple jalapeño margarita while we snacked on some coconut shrimp. We also got barbecue ribs with cheesy potatoes, and the meat literally fell off the bone, everything was so juicy and tender. The Cajun bacon chicken wrap was packed with chicken, bacon and lettuce, not your typical wrap where the end is just breading. Very filling and delicious

We came on a Saturday during the Berlin fair so there was no one there. We sat outside to enjoy the trains passing and service was prompt for the one server working

Parking: Limited number of free parking spots (8 or so) all other parking must be paid for through the station parking lot“

“My friend loved the mini-burgers and lasagna soup, and I really enjoyed the eggplant lasagna. Great food for a cold winter day!“

“Nataz in Southington is a true gem! We had my company’s holiday party here mid-week during the day before they opened for regular dinner service and it was AMAZING! The setup was great for our group and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. We had two dedicated waitresses, Sara and Heather, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a drink upon sitting down and that everyone got their food in a timely manner. Both Sara and Heather were very polite and accommodating, even weaving in and out of our employees and Santa participating in a gift exchange. Special thank you to Chuck for setting everything up for us! The food was exceptional! From the grazing boards to the salads to the entrees and dessert, everything was flavorful and cooked/presented perfectly. If you are looking for a great local place with really good food, check out Nataz for your next event or dinner out with family/friends. You definitely will not be disappointed!“

“Ordered 30 wings, one entree , French onion soup, and buff cauliflower.

Everything was exactly as we ordered it, order was ready on time, food was excellent, and soup traveled really well for takeout French onion, which is hard to pull off.

My husband had the steak frites and it was cooked to perfection. Also a generous portion. Our friend had the salmon and said it was very good and my son had the burger. Said it was good but nothing special.“

“We had my daughter’s baby shower at Lola’s. From the start of booking until the day of the shower. So easy to work with. The day of the shower, we were greeted with such warmth and truly our waitress for our party, Becky, was fantastic. Catered to our every need and was so beyond helpful. She worked very hard and was so pleasant! The food was amazing and plenty of it! Guests went back for seconds! Becky even went above and beyond for my mom who couldn’t eat something and prepared a new one just for her. Truly a gem of a place! “I was a little taken back at first but the setup just adds to the atmosphere of this place. The people were fast, attentive and the meatball calzone was soooo good. Huge calzone! I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. It tastes like it was made fresh as well as the pizza sauce. Delicious!“

“Red rock is a great place to gather and have a delicious meal. They have great rotating specials and a menu that can accommodate a wide array of diets. Some of my favorite items they serve are eggplant Parmesan, their homemade hummus, all of their salads, and any pasta dish they serve.“

“Came in around 6p on a Sunday so it wasn’t busy. The inside is what you’d expect for similar restaurants; darker ambiance , booths and tables, and outdoor seating as well. We were sat and addressed quickly, placing an order for drinks and an app. We then chose two entrees to share. For an old fashioned, a glass of Prosecco, an egg roll appetizer, a Cobb salad, and a steak sandwich with fries came to about $90 (with tip).

Our waitress was attentive without being invasive; she was quick and friendly .

My only complaint is the sticky table.

“Short Version! Best smoked BBQ. Cannot recommend enough. Chef and staff are excellent. Wethersfield has a gem — the ‘secret’ needs to get out! Long Version! Earlier this week, to celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I went to a smoked barbecue restaurant, Smoked on Main, in Wethersfield. It was her surprise to me. I did not know where we were headed. Both of us love BBQ, my wife grew up in the Kansas — St Louis area; I had spent quite a bit of time in Dallas, our daughter lives in Carolina. There you have it: Kansas City, Texas, and Carolina BBQ! After we arrived and parked, we decided to walk a bit as its location is in an incredibly beautiful quintessential New England restored area (we live in New Haven). There are numerous beautiful old homes (dating from the 17th century), a colonial cemetery started in 1634, the same year as Wethersfield was founded. When I read over the menu, by its choices, its depth and descriptions, including several additional smaller a la carte menus (including the one for five different varieties of smoked tacos) I knew this was some place special. But I reserved my opinion until the food arrived. My wife had the smoked St Louis ribs; I had smoked spicy pork and smoked steak tacos along with the corn salad. Some, if not all, was the best I’ve ever eaten. After I saw the food presentations, tried them, coupled with the sophistication of the menu, I believed the chef had to have been professionally trained. His name is Bronislaw (Bernie) Gorski, and came out to say hello. He is a classically trained chef, started at Ernie’s in San Francisco having been a chef in NYC, Paris, and Brazil, to name just a few. We talked shop for some time. Delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. I say shop because while not in his league, when I was much younger, I was trained as a chef and sommelier in a French restaurant, and worked in the industry for quite some time, including as a consultant. That background expertise is what led me to expect and recognize the quality and presentation of the menu. I cannot recommend Smoked on Main enough. It has not been open long and also does catering. I want to give a ‘shout out’ to Wethersfield. If you are not yet aware of the rich culinary gem you have in your wonderful city — please give them a try! They do a brisk take-out business as well. Thanks to Bernie and to Jennifer who serves as a mainstay there in the evenings (and met us outside as we we were coming in — so hospitable). All the best. We had a delightful time.“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Thanks for hanging in and being so committed to our city. with the type of food and friendliness that AJ's gives they could have been successful any place in Connecticut.“

A group of 4 of us were traveling through the area and needed a good place for Dinner …We called and made a reservation , the owner Al was very personable on the phone .We arrived for dinner and he had our name on table , and he introduced himself …We had a couple of beers while he explained the menu to us ….we Decided on a couple of appetizers and also a small pizza to sample before ordering our dinner . The appetizers arrived and were very good, but the star of the show was definitely the pizza , so much flavor … the crust was to die for light and airy and so much crunch in the crust !!!! Next was the Dinner - Chicken Francaise , Chicken Parm , Chicken Marsala , Fettuccini Carbonaro .All meals arrived hot and were Delicious …We also got to meets Al’s Daughter who was very personable just like her Father ….We wished we had this Restaurant in our community .
