“Good hot dog, chili, and cheese sauce. If there is a line don't worry, it goes fast. Parking is a bit wonky but don't let that discourage you. Owner parks their cool looking classic car up front and I always stop to check them out while enjoying a chili cheese dog. I would review other things they sell but they are so good, I don't want anything else.“

“I placed an order for pickup online. Showed up a little early and the gentleman behind the grill was so apologetic about my having to wait. I didn't mind at all, as it allowed me a chance to savor and enjoy the diner atmosphere around me. Reminded me of when I was a kid visiting the diner my uncle owned.Then I got my food. Jiminy Christmas, I gave serious thought to leaving my partner, just so I could marry the fries and burger. By far, one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was a religious experience and I'm fairly certain I saw some sort of diety while savoring the dripping deliciousness lubing up my fingers.Please throw your money at this place and ensure they stay in business. I know I will.“

“Just had dinner here very early so we had the restaurant to ourselves. One owner served us, the other cooked. Both took time to say hello and speak with us. We were lucky to get one off-menu item and another special. As we ate, a steady stream of people came for takeout orders. A jewel.Vegetarian options: Excellent.“

“Great beer, great bunch of people, great fun. They have activities during the week and all sorts of food trucks. They have an outside beer garden when you don’t want to stay inside. Dog friendly on the outside, unfortunately not dog friendly on the inside. Other breweries are dog friendly as they do not cook food in the facility. Don’t know why Legitimus doesn’t do the same. I took one star off for that.“

“Hosted a small gathering here and everything was amazing! Reserving tables was quick and easy, and we were able to set up decorations/bring in our own food. Great selection of beers, cocktails, and liquor - and great staff too! Recommend this spot to enjoy a beer, or host a party!“

The portions are ample, and the prices a reasonable.This family run establishment is a real gem for this region.The food is ALWAYS excellent. “Found this place on yelp passing thru. At 11 o'clock on a Thursday there was no one else there. Service quick and friendly and food was delicious. I had a breakfast bowl which comes with three veggies and one meat of my choice. Served over tater tots. Husband had egg sandwich which he enjoyed as well. Was a bit pricy but what isn't these days. Coffee served hot and fresh in generous sized cups. Had a hipster vibe ( but not in an obnoxious way). All and all a very positive experience“

“By far the best coffee in Torrington! They make it just the way you ask, with a color chart for the amount of cream too. The mocha coffee is amazing. Prices are competitive and the ladies there are so friendly with quick service. I'll skip Starbucks any day for this local coffee place.“

“Bakery On Maple is a fantastic gem located near Federal Hill. Their baked goods are without a doubt some of the best we've had. Their cinnamon rolls might be the best example of "max" cinnamon taste without being overpowered, their croissants are so light & flakey, the gingerbread bar while thick, was very soft to bite into & had such rich flavor - we loved the chocolate cupcake (fantastic chocolate cream!) and their macarons are simply delicious - probably my wife's favorite but so close. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their baked goods soon!“

“I first went here about 5 years ago and loved the delicious chili meat sauce. The mucke dogs are awesome and go down fast. There's something different about these dogs and I always think of this stand when I think of the best I've been to, if you're ever in south west Torrington (or feel like making a special trip) I'd recommend Kurt's, it's a good call. Regular and handicap.Kid-friendliness: Had a well rounded child menuWheelchair accessibility: I was able to use the rear entrance opened by staff that was right near the handicap parking. Which was awesome since my dining companion was elderly and handicapped. The bar area though does have a small flight of stairs up. It does have a hand rail if your ambulatory. There are tables on the first floor available if wheel chair use is required. You are by the pool table, awesome basketball score shooter and other games.“
