“There is no other restaurant in northern CT that makes me more excited to visit than Germains. Every single item on the menu is incredible, all of the weekly specials are sensational and the entire staff is friendly, helpful and take pride in the service they provide. Germains is the template of how the modern breakfast, brunch, family owned restaurant should be run. Prices are fair, the website is always updated and the team is not afraid to delve into unique and exciting creations for the foodies of the world. Let me put it like this… when Jesus held the last supper I would not have been surprised if he was serving Germains catering. If I was a convict on death row I would very very much consider a Germains special to be my last meal. If I were to describe a perfect day it would be a Germains breakfast sandwich, a round of golf, a Germains lunch wrap followed by an afternoon on the lake. This place is incredible! 11/10 recommend and thank you for all you do! My only ask is maybe consider opening on Sundays 😉“

“Honestly so good. Tried to come on Christmas from the social media posts but yall were sold out of food! The best problem to have. I have been itching to come since, I am so far from disappointed. The staff was so friendly, spoke with one of the owners- he was so friendly and easy to chat with truly wish we could have talked longer! He explained his wife does the majority of the cooking and you can taste how homemade it all really is with each bite. The desserts were also delicious. Will absolutely be coming back- so upset it took me so long to try this place. Will be recommending it to anyone who likes Thai food or even wants to try Thai food.“

“Tired of the never-ending onslaught of hazy IPAs? Looking for a real wide variety of beers that all have great flavor? This is the place. Maibock, Helles Lager, Pils, Czech Amber, plus more. They even have beers on a side pour (iykyk).
Plus the vibe is chill. The owners and bartenders are super friendly (shout out to Dylan who is the best). The building is historic. And they support the local community with events.
Parking is simple with a lot across the street. They have snacks but you can bring your own food (grab some to go from Parkville). Dog friendly. Kids are welcome but this isn't the kind of place you're going to find a family birthday party for a toddler (thank god).
This is definitely the kind of brewery for beer lovers.“

Kirsten who goes by Kris, took my order, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and ensured I felt comfortable with my choices because my first option was sold out for the day! Brendon was equally impressive! His charm and respectfulness shone through as he assisted Kirsten by handing out the orders and keeping the dining area clean. I arrived just before closing, but both Kirsten and Brendon maintained their enthusiasm and were eager to serve me. Their teamwork made the experience even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated their dedication to excellent customer service. “Our second time trying Verona and both times we were very happy with our food. Our first visit we got pizza to go and it was the best margarita pizza we’ve ever had. Tonight we dined in and had the most amazing meals. They were super busy today and were out of some items so we had to change our order but I am so glad we did. The penne ala vodka was the best I’ve ever had and my husband loved the lasagna. The server, Harmony, was so kind and attentive. Portion sizes were very generous and now I have lunch for tomorrow as well. We will definitely be back!“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Brewery Legitimus many times throughout the years, and it never disappointed me.

The brewery is spacious enough: the indoor space is separated into two rooms, which makes it easy to have a private event. There is a patio opened during warmer months, as well as several tables near the main entrance (a smaller patio). The place does not serve any food, but the food trucks are usually onsite. Also, the taproom, received an upgrade recently and now you can order cocktails from their bar.

The selection of beers is fine, although it is IPA-heavy. But you can also find several other styles on tap - Marzen, Kolsch, Ales, etc. The place not only serves beer flights of 4, but also sells 6oz drafts, so you can try more beers. I've had almost all the beers they sell during past visits (and refreshed them with new releases during the latest visit). The beers are not frequently rotated, so I only saw 6 new beers compared to my visit several months ago. The beers are always solid. It is safe to order any style and be sure that you will have the best quality. I'm not into IPAs, so from their selection I will definitely recommend their Barrel Aged bottles - Lord Dobson's (Imperial Stout) and Maple Girl (Belgian Tripel). Both of those have an immensely reach barrel taste.

“I’ve known these people for over a decade. my father and I always came here since it was down the street from us. He’d get beef fried rice well done with some ribs on the side, then I would get chicken fried rice with 4 chicken wings. That was our go to orders and they always delivered with great food. We’ve known the owners for years and they are one of the nicest people in the area. I got to know them all these years to the point where one of their sons became a freshman when I was a senior in Highschool and we are boys to this day.
