And as my gf , me and our dog at ice cream in the parking lot we watched the kind owner help and elderly lady carry ice cream to her car. Not many places do you see kind people. “Simple little place. Array of fudge and chocolates that are made on-site. Had different flavors of hard ice cream (dairy) the peanut butter banana caught my eye. Sadly due to my lactose intolerance I couldn't try it. I had their vegan oreo ice cream. It was very good. My wife loved the color changing disposable spoons.Note: I did not pick up any fudge, even though that is why my wife and I stopped. All the fudge was in sealed individual packaging, which is awesome, but had warning for soy and milk. With my soy allergy I could try it. It look delicious if that counts.“
“Stopped by with little man who Smiled ear to ear when I told him it’s open for the season! So of course I HAD TO TAKE HIM! The service at the counter was very friendly, and very fast. (Take the chance in my review to remind you all to TIP YOUR SERVERS!!) put a couple bucks in the bin and went on our way. “WE had a craving for dessert after dinner and decided to stop here for a fix. Sampled some flavors and decided on Choc therapy, a berry berry extraordinary sorbet, and coffee buz buz. Very quiet for a Saturday night, had the whole place to ourselves. We all enjoyed ourselves and were satisfied with our picks. Nice after dinner treat.Okay, berry berry extraordinary is thee yummiest sorbet non dairy dessert I've had yet. It made me come back. There aren't many non chocolate or non nut options, which made me choose Sorbet. I'm glad I did!“
“SUPER DELICIOUS is how I would describe Ashley's! As a chef and foodie, I am more than selective with regard to food and especially ice cream. I typically purchase 1 scoop of ice cream from a new place, take 1 bite then throw the rest away and as my Mother used to say "why waste the calories if it is not good". Well, I cannot and will not throw Ashley's ice cream away after 1 bite. In fact I returned the next day for another LARGE serving. The butterfat is just right and well balanced with the delicious flavors they offer. Many lessor ice cream companies whip lots of air into their product to increase volume and sales ability. Ashley's doesn't sell air; just pure deliciousness. I add Ashley's to my 2 favorite ice cream places ever: the other is Berthillon in Paris, France.“
“There’s such a variety of yummy treats at Essex Chocolates! I always find something to enjoy for myself or a gift to buy for a special occasion. They have a nice range of items from homemade to name brands to novelty. The handicap entrance is next to Scotch Plains Tavern; the entrance just outside the chocolate shop has a few steps. Plenty of parking on both sides. Check out the local handmade gifts or just stop in for a beverage or ice cream!“
“I had some business to attend to in the area and didn't want to stay in a mediocre motel. The James Pharmacy was absolutely perfect! Monica was our liaison, and she was absolutely fabulous. Everything we needed was tended to. The rooms are beautiful. The restaurant downstairs, everything you would want. It is well appointed, clean, and quiet. The only thing I would warn is that the stairs are pretty treacherous. It would be very difficult if you have mobility her balance issues. I would 100% recommend people stay here.“
“I believe this is one of the only self serve places that made it through the pandemic. Very glad they did as they have been a staple in Old Saybrook for quite a while.A great and delicious option for dessert. Place is very clean! There are hand sanitizing stations at the door and right before you grab your cup and start choosing your flavors and goodies. Most of the toppings are in dispensers or are covered with lids. They have a good sized selection of topping options. The standards sprinkles, cookie and candy bits, fudge, peanut butter, and fruity boba as well! If you think toppings are the best part of a sundae, then this is your spot.They have a few tables inside and outside. It is always hopping in the summer but they are open year round if you need your sweet tooth fix at any point!“
“I absolutely love Scoops icecream! They have a variety of delicious flavors such as Brownie Chip, Butter Crunch, and more! The thing is that it's cash only, but I don't mind it at all because they have the best icecream I had ever tasted! This place brought smiles to my family and I would reccomend it to anyone who wants icecream for a fun, reasonable, price. :)“
“Cutest little ice cream shop with great ice cream. We came here after dinner and we were not disappointed. Just happy it was open! Seriously so many places aren't open until like late May. It was our routine on vacation of ice cream after dinner which our son obviously loved.“
