“How is it possible? This place can serve me a wonderful chicken piccata dinner with salad and bread for $21 and a glass of house wine for six dollars? Excellent food service and atmosphere. Plus a live rendition of love is in the air. Wonderful service food and prices make this place a grand slam. Support this business.“
“Been since late summer since we were here so I forgot about this review. The food was amazing. We all had a wonderful meal. Almost no one else at the place. Husband and wife running it from what I remember. She was so sweet. I would love to go back here.“
“I only ordered takeout, but when I came inside, it had a really nice and welcoming interior. Ordered a large sausage and pepperoni pizza. The sausage was great, thick, but not too much to where it took away from the whole pie. Cheese was tasty and was applied consistently throughout. The sauce was excellent and was just right. Nice dough, thick but stable slices with thin crust. Thin slices but can fold with ease and still not droop. Best pizza in the area, will definitely come back for more. Highly recommend“
“While this sandwich shop is a bit more on the expensive side for subs and sandwiches, this is one of those places where you get what you pay for. The variety and sandwiches, the quality of the food, was great. I had the buffalo chicken sub, and you end up with an entire breaded chicken breast, with some really good flavoring. My lunch mates had the steak and cheese and really enjoyed theirs as well - to the extent they wouldn't give me a bite. Jerks.Would go again.“
“New favorite pizza delivery option!! Closest thing to New Haven style I've had (that is available for delivery) in the area. Awesome crust, great flavor, right amount of toppings, good prices. So glad they could deliver over to my far west corner of Middletown. We will definitely order again in the future!“
“Sal worked with us for my grandsons baptism party. The roast beef was tender and flavorful. Lemon chicken was amazing. Roasted vegetables with hot peppers, WOW! Roasted potatoes, fantastic! Portions are more than expected. Sal is wonderful to work with and you will not be disappointed with the food“
“Went here for dinner and had a very nice time. The food was great and so was the service. I'll definitely go back again!Parking: Google maps took me only to the entrance of the golf club. The restaurant is beyond that, up a well-lit driveway with a large parking area at the top.“
“Great place to eat family owned and friendly with large portions; food has always been fresh with plenty of selections.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten-free but my wife is not and there are plenty of selections for both of us; they do not have gluten-free bread but I brought my own.“
“Experience was Amazing. We went for my grandmothers 88th bday. They gave her desert for free. My mother ordered a shrimp meal that was short on shrimp, they brought out a whole other plate of shrimp to apologize. Food was Great! Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Highly “
“Amazing food. Each bite was great, the portion was huge, and prices are good as well. The servers were very patient and answered every question we had.Food was out quick and in time for dinner! The atmosphere was good, the Iftar vibes ?????? Will definitely be back here with the family!“
“From the moment we entered the business, I knew we were in a comfortable place! We were greeted by a staff member from behind the counter, and were surrounded but great food, desserts and new friends. Our lunch was made promptly despite the busy lunchtime rush. I cant wait to return to this deli the next time in the area.Well done !!!“
“The prices for the food are great and the garlic knots are to die for. The dining room is very noisy but I can get past it, they're busy and popular so to be expected. I can't stop thinking about the garlic knots. I got the burrata salad with chicken and it was all incredible. The food also came out super quick given how packed it was there on a Saturday night.“
“On the road, between Massachusetts where we spent a few days in January 2024, and JFK airport, we visited Wethersfield, a small historic town in Connecticut. The place is charming, especially on Main Street, where you can find a range of attractive businesses. Our favorite remains Lenoci's Italian Kitchen, a real pizzeria set up in a small house.Big surprise when we entered, seeing part of the local Italian-American community seated there! The pizzas are very generous and made on site in dedicated ovens. For a little over $40 for 3 people, we really enjoyed ourselves. I chose Lenoci's Spinach Special with spinach, potatoes, sausages and mozzarella in a small size: it's the equivalent of a family pizza in Paris. I recommend it, but we had to take half the order with us in packages because we were full!Very pleasant and available service. It is very possible that we will come back next time, if the opportunity arises, and when the temperatures are milder ?...“
“We stopped here after a basketball game with the kids to grab couple slices of pizza, we ended up sitting down after we noticed they had few booths inside. This is a True Hidden Gem. It’s one of the best pizzas we’ve had. The dough was cooked to perfection with a crunch and no flop. Good sauce. Overall a wonderful pizza. Thank you!“
“I was surprised when we got there, looks like a super typical town-y pizza place tucked in a somewhat dingy plaza. The inside is bright, clean, and not at all what I expected. The service was friendly and very fast. There was a steady stream of patrons but staff kept up well, all seemed to be having a good time. The meatballs in vodka sauce were delicious. Fettuccini Carbonara was flavorful and well balanced. I personally would have had more sauce, but I will just request that for next time. Ravioli are huge and generously stuffed. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian experience in an unassuming location.“
“Exceptional food and service await you here. Every item is top-notch, ensuring you won’t miss out on any delight. The family-owned and operated essence shines through in the superb quality of the food and the inventive spirit of the staff.“
“Went on Saturday, January 27th for my husbands birthday to dine in, and.... IT WAS VERY BUSY!! Between take out and dine in. But the wait was worth it!!!We had a terrific waitress that didn't look rushed, or, tried to rush us. Can't remember her name, (sorry ) it was about 7 pm, had tattoos on her arms. Thank you. We had pizza, .....it was excellent.“
“A lovely little place to buy an array of classic Italian foods! The staff is pleasant and helpful, and the environment is welcoming as well as charmingly Italic.I've been here several times, typically attracted back to the deli meats and baked goods, of which both are always fresh and delicious. The packaged goods are also a treat, offering a nice little selection of sweets, snacks and staples alike.Overall, a good little shop for comfort foods, especially the ones like nonna use to make (or sneak to you when your parents weren't looking because she knew you also liked Nutella cookies)!“
“I can believe we didn’t try this amazing restaurant until tonight. I can’t say enough about the excellent service and attention paid to our party. Top notch recommendations made for the best tasting meal I have had in a long time. We will enjoy this fantastic place many times in the future as our staple for high quality and superb food. Thank you for the exceptional evening and we look forward to joining you again in the very near future!“
“The food was fine, but I misunderstood the waitress and my plate wasn't what I expected. My husband didn't get what he ordered. The waitress fixed it with grace and the kitchen made my husband's meal in record time. I was told reservations would be preferred, we were the only diners for a while, but the dining room did get busy. I believe we will go again.“
“Food is very good. Salads are always fresh and dressings are perfect. Sometimes the grilled chicken is too hard. Grinders are great and huge. Chicken tenders and fries are well done but sometimes kind of spice (maybe they use pepper). Prices are fair. Overall “
“My husband and I went to Fiore II on the way home from a trip. It was a great find. Awesome service by Jimmy and another young man. Lovely atmosphere, but most importantly the food was amazing. So many choices. We will be back and are considering catering for holiday parties this year. Thank you.“
“Let me start by saying the service was amazing. Our server was top notch. Food came out riht on time. Cooked as requested. The appetizers were really good. The steak was good, the sauce really made the difference. The atmosphere was good. Lighting was a bit poor for the small letter menú. However, this does not take away from the rating.“
“I took my wife here for a second birthday dinner last summer. We had received a gift certificate from a friend. Best clams casino I ever had. The lasagna was awesome and the portion was more than Icould eat. My wife said her meal was excellent. Our waitress was very personable, accommodating and made the dining experience here very enjoyable. The only reason we haven't been back is just that you get busy and time has a habit of slipping away.“
“I usually love their pizza but I would recommend going there in person for it or double checking it lately. Ordering online doesn't work since its hard to customize pizzas and ots a 10 minute longer wait minimum. We got 2 pizzas for pick up ordered over the phone. 1st the girl was handling more than one phone at a time so not really knowing if we had her full attention. 2nd we ordered the oozy egg no proscute with an extra egg instead. there was no proscute but also no extra egg and the eggs were on only half the pizza. my hubby asked for a side of red pepper flakes they gave him .5oz, kind of stingy. the 2 pizzas came to $38+ and at that price they could at least pay attention and get the order right. Even if they might have been busy, at least do a quality check or read the order back to the customer so it is right.“
“What can I say, this little home away from home is full of LOVE!!! Delicious, honestly cooked food, and most of all, you can sense it's cooking that's done with love. So glad I had the joy of visiting here while on the road, working!!! Hope to find my way here again in the future!!“
“First valentines with my finance and boy I have to tell you this man knows his way to my heart. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. What an amazing place. The food was excellent, fresh and full of taste. This will be my restaurant to visit when craving a great pasta meal.“
“An amazing dining experience at Bricco’s. I had the pork chop and salad with potatoes. The pork by far was the best I ever had anywhere in the area. Folks next to me had chicken parm and scallops, who said those too were great choices. Be sure to add an IPA or a glass of wine to the list. Our server Carrie was great and overall atmosphere was nice too. Be sure to add this one to your must go list and Briccos will not disappoint.“
“Called here to try out the tuna grinder. An angry man answered and told me take out only! I was getting take out anyways so that worked. He yelled a number at me after I ordered and hung up. I walked in to pick up and the entire restaurant was closed up except for the take out counter so it must always be like that ? Not sure. Anyways, picked up my very generous looking half a tuna for under $10 and left. This was one of the best tuna grinders I've ever had. Bread was lightly toasted. Tuna was double the portion of the pizza place down the street and it tasted great. Will be back to try more items for sure.“
“Been there several times, one of our favorites. The food is always delicious and there is a wide selection on the menus. Whether you go for Italian or Portuguese, you can't go wrong. The service is attentive, without being overbearing. The dining area is quite large, white tablecloth dining always a pleasure. Only one drawback is if there is a large party, it can get rather noisy.“
“Service was amazing, beyond polite, the presentation of the food was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen in my life. The 24k tomahawk steak was to die for, all 3 sides tasted amazing, they also went off menu to accommodate me for a side. 10/10 everything.“
“Was there for happy hour at the bar. I don't know the bartender's name, but the dirty martini's were spot on and spanking cold! He was very attentive to my group. My only "complaint" is that Brio is in Westfarms Mall, so you need to deal with the parking morons and the junior high schoolers who hang out there just to get into the place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.“
“Highly recommend! Came in to grab some slices and they were so yummy. Jay was incredibly kind to us and helpful to accommodate some special food needs we had. The buffalo chicken slice had chunks of blue cheese and was so flavorful. All 3 slices we got were delicious. Dying to try their Big Mac slices. The closest I’ve seen to nyc in terms of pizza by the slice. Slices were big and so yummy. Thanks so much!!! We will definitely be back!“
“We had a party of 16 peeps for a fishing club banquet, with 3 meat choices for main course which were chicken francaises, stuffed shrimp n fillet sole, and prime rib, all were excellent we had the chicken fran n it was very gd came with broccili, pasta, salads and amazing buttery giant garlic knots! Heard no complaints on any of the entrees, and def recommend Violi's!Parking: Plenty of parking spots at nite in the winters as its part of a golf course ! Was there. 2/25Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access and 5 handicap spots are closest to door/entrance!“
“I came here a few days ago with my boyfriend. We had been to the Newington location before. This location is totally different and better. It was busy but we were seated quickly. We ordered a large pizza and some buffalo wings. Our food came quickly. Everything was great! I love this style of pizza. The crust size is perfect. Not too thick , not too thin. The amount of cheese and sauce was great too. It was very lively and there was a little arcade. It would probably be nice to bring kids here. We will definitely come here again.Parking: The parking lot is decent, its not big but its not small either. We came on a Saturday night yet it wasn’t difficult to find parking.“
“Came to Bertucci's for a Little chef's party for my son. We had a great time! The kids loved making their own pizzas and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was really good (veggie pizza is one of the best I've ever had), Chaz and Luna were so accommodating and attentive. Thanks again! Highly recommend!“
“Greeted so pleasantly the second we walked in. Seated right away. Delicious garlic knots! Amazing service from start to finish. We got a salad and a wrap, and it was just what we were craving! Finished up with some tea/coffee and cheesecake. Overall really wonderful experience, will definitely be returning!“
“When I lived in the Hartford area, First and Last was a regular haunt. Now that I live in the South, I find myself jonesing for the First and Last grilled sausage and peppers, served with side of shells in marinara. It rarely gets better than this, even if you find the real Italian sausage; I've been living in Charleston, a foodie paradise, but I have yet to find the real, homemade salsiccia that you get at First and Last, or buy at D&D market, close by. So mangia Hartford, and pray that this place never changes!“
“Service leaves a lot to be desired. Went for dinner tonight and was told a table was reserved and we would have to wait for the next one. Another group sits at the table that was reserved and was told no problem it was fine which then made the table we were waiting for reserved. If I knew we could just sit there we would have. Then after we are finally sat we were ignored as the tables on both sides of us that were sat after us were given water and menus while we sat and waited. I have no idea if the food is good or not as we never got served.“
“My husband and I have -never- been able to agree on a pizza place, but we found a unicorn in Leo's. Everything we've had (including Grinders and pasta dishes) have been delicious, with generous portions. The ricotta pizza is one of the best I've ever had.“
“They make a vegan sun-dried tomato linguini that is amazing. This is our go-to order when we have guests and it never disappoints. Clean and friendly. We really appreciate having this restaurant nearby with the vegan option.Vegetarian options: great vegan pasta - sun dried tomato linguini“
“Deliscious! Fresh and made to order classic style grinders. Excellent prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Old-school feel. Highly recommendedVegetarian options: Veggie grinders, eggplant Parmigian etc.Parking: Small lot in front of store.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is level with parking lot.Dietary restrictions: Build your grinders as you like.“
“I purchased a package of homemade lasagna noodles. I made lasagna yesterday and it was by far the best I've ever made. Noodles were so delicious. Package was large and enough for 2 more batches. I froze remaining. Carmela is the real deal. She is originally from Napoli and her food is just like being in ?? thank you Carmela! I live in Massachusetts in summer but was visiting friends in CT and came upon this fabulous pasta shop. I want to take her home!!“
“Called in an order for take out and pizza was ready in 30 minutes and was hot and fresh when we arrived. I ordered a medium pie: half sausage, onions, and peppers and half grilled chicken. They were not shy with their toppings and it was absolutely delicious. There was a plentiful amount of cheese and the meat was sliced into large pieces so with every bite you were sure to get a taste of everything. The venue is casual and there are a good amount of indoor seating and they have a fairly large menu, serving gyros, sandwiches, grinders, and a variety of appetizers. I am hoping to go back to eat there and try out more of their menu.“
“i can’t speak to dine in as i’ve only done takeout but i usually door dash, which has always been a positive experience, this time i ordered pick up and same thing the food is always amazing and portions are huge literally lasts 2+ days. their pasta meals are enough to feed 2 people! i love the bolognese and shrimp scampi. the garlic bread with cheese is one of my favs, their cesar salad is always fresh. the amount of food you get for the price is great. they have never gotten my order wrong either and the quality is always great. when picking up the younger staff at the take out desk are friendly and polite, and efficient with getting the orders out. no wonder there are so many great reviews here!“
“I've been to Broadways Pizza several times and it is the VERY BEST in the entire Meriden area!!!! This time we ordered Basil, onions, garlic, chedder; spinach, mozzarella and did I say chedder??? Also great is the grilled chicken pizza with onions and peppers as well as SUBS!!!! Looking forward to ordering more food!!!“
“Five stars for the chicken cutlet grinders alone. Don't think I've had a better cutlet in the region. They will customize your sandwich any way you like, and also have a really nice selection of both fresh and frozen prepared foods like broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, chicken parm, arancini, macaroni/potato salads, etc. Staff has always been incredibly friendly and quick. Prices are fair. A complete gem.“
“Esca is a bustling spot in Middletown. I started the meal with a burrata salad and arancini. Both of these were delicious. For my main course I got the duck breast. The skin had a beautiful salt crust and perfectly whipped mashed potatoes. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for some delicious Italian food. Quite delicious.“
“The food is excellent. The owner really puts love into her handmade dishes. Fresh ingredients make this spot a hidden gem. Try the shrimp rolls and the fried rice. Banging!!! Especially in a late night where all the restaurants are closed she is still cooking. ❤️ They have a juke box that has a good selection of pretty much anything. You can hear anything from Mobb Deep to the Eagles at this bar. Nice space to host a catered gathering as well as a small outdoor patio to enjoy the evening. Super cute spot. The bartenders could use an upgrade, as our order got forgotten for quite some time and there were quite a few forgetful moments but I guess it comes with the ambience. Try em...“
“I want to start the review by saying that I do have a background in culinary being an executive chef for many years and now teaching culinary. My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner and we're not disappointed. In fact, we had a great experience!I want to also say that everything there is made in house, using quality products, including the rolls for the sandwiches. My wife and I split a rigatoni Bolognese to start. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the meat sauce was authentic and delicious. Next we had a meatball calzone with ricotta cheese and mozzarella. The dough was so good as I was cutting pieces with the meatball and cheese making like little sandwiches, I can honestly say it was great! We also ordered a pizza which is made thin crust nice bubbles coming out of the oven, beautifully brown on the bottom crispy crust. The tomato sauce and cheese of a high-quality as well as the other toppings. I would rate this pizza, an 8.8 out of 10. Leaving room for the pizza meccas In New Haven. If you don't want to drive an hour, I recommend you try the pizza here! I had to try a half an order of shrimp scampi, the shrimp were done perfectly not overcooked, linguini was al dente, and the sauce is about as good as I've ever had, capers, sliced fresh garlic, lemon. I also ordered an Italian cold cut grinder to go with plenty of mortadella, capicola, salami, and pepperoni reminiscent of Franklin giant grinder in the south end of Hartford. I planned on reviewing the restaurant so we also have lunch tomorrow! It's a gem in Cromwell that shouldn't be missed!“
