“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!“

In addition to stopping here for slices, I've also had a party catered by Bambino's and they went way above and beyond, the food was a huge hit with my guests. “I had a group of 15 people for my husband’s 60th birthday. We had a private room, the staff friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious! The portions were huge, everyone took home leftovers, plenty of food for two meals. Very reasonably priced! Highly recommend.“

“We had delivery of Chicken cacciatore and its the best we've had in yrs! Giving it 5 stars. Has that homemade flavor and taste! Order some parmesan garlic bread with it too. Comes with a roll and salad but their parmesan garlic bread is great with it. We've had their grinders, and large salads. This is the way one would expect out of grandma's/ nana's kitchen. Try for dessert their chocolate mousse! Decadent. Oh anyone that likes chocolate ought try this! All desserts are great! Thank you Sal's people!“

Perfect crust. Not too thick or thin that's lightly crisp and doesn't flop.
The sauce is very flavorful, perhaps a little on the sweet side.
Generous selection of fresh, quality toppings.
The cheese was perfect without the too often unwelcome excessive grease.
Skip new haven brand lines and hype. This mom and pop out shines!

“We moved into the area about a month ago and tried this place recently. The place has been here a long time but it looks like a hole in the wall sort of place.

We went for lunch. Sandwhiches were pretty good and reasonable. Just not something I would personally go out of my way for. I'm still exploring the area so I may come back down the line.“

“Always delicious!!!* I feel like I should say more, for new customers. I have been eating here since the mid 1980s in a different building. I have seen many waitresses come and go. Most are very good. Some are excellent! A couple have been a little odd. I have met and known all three brothers. The one thing I can always count on, always consistent - their food is incredible!!! Every single time! If it weren't so good I wouldn't keep coming back! And, introducing new people to their fare! Love you guys!“
