“I ordered a lot of food tonight with my house full and everyone was pleased with the food, it was delicious! The service was great and the owner even helped walk one of the bags out to the car for me. I think we have found our new favored Chinese place. My youngest even stated that this was the best friend rice he has ever had. Thank you for your excellent service and food, we will be back!“
“I have only had take out, but ordering on line is super easy. This Chinese food restaurant allows you to select whatever type of fried rice or lo Mein you want in a combination dinner. That is an awesome option. You can also add egg. (For a slight up-charge) to your rice which is a delicious option too.The crab Rangoons are delicious and you get way more in an order than other Chinese restaurants in town.Parking: Parking is available right beside the building.“
“Moving to CT from Southern California was challenging when it came down to finding good Chinese food. After trying numerous places, we found Ting Ho to be our ultimate go-to spot. Quality of food is top notch and everything is always fresh and delicious. These guys are the real deal!On a side note, they are incredibly kind and helped up jump start our car when the battery died (in the cold with 3 kids in tow). Not the purpose of this review, but certainly a plus.We are customers for life!“
“I don't write dessert reviews. I'm not big on desserts. I ordered the creme brulee crepe with raspberries last night. Let me just say....I had a moment. This was one of the best damn desserts I've ever had. Every bite I couldn't believe how good it was. This place is the real deal. I'm still thinking about it next day. I'm a fan.Dietary restrictions: Crepes are gluten free“
“We actually meant to order from a different restaurant, but didn't realize it on the phone. The manager/owner at Wang Chinese Restaurant was super helpful with our order. Food is available to be made gluten free, but they do it by taking out the soy sauce, not by replacing it with tamari. This is fine for some dishes, a little different for others. Our group really enjoyed the general tsos tofu, and the fried rice and veggie spring rolls. The garlic broccoli (gluten free) was also really good. Wang is likely a place we'll return - and order with the correct menu next time!“
“Our normal Chinese Food place has been closed since Covid and we really wanted Chicken Teriyaki. Tried China House and was pleasantly surprised. Went back 2nd time - still happy. Trying again tonight. Fingers Crossed - purchasing for son and his girlfriend. Please don't disappoint!!!“
“I ordered take out, it was ready when I got there. I would say the food is slightly above average as far as Chinese food goes. One thing to note is they put a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the bag to keep orders stable, you rarely see this level of care & effort.“
“I have eaten here about 6 times in the last month. For a take out restaurant, the food is fresh and good. The quality was consistent in my experience. Definitely one of the better Chinese take outs I have bought from.Parking: plenty of parking“
“I’ve been going to the Asian restaurant for many years. Their food is not like a lot of other fast food, Asian restaurants. The food is very fresh and flavorful, not greasy or heavy as some Asian food can be. Being Vegan I order Mapo tofu with hibachi rice. The tofu is so flavorful you can get it mild to spicy.. The portion is big enough for two people to split.Off street parking. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. Inside seating only.Dietary restrictions: When ordering they say to ask if need be for questions regarding dietary restrictions. They can at times make adjustments for gluten intolerance, dairy or no allergies..“
“My favorite Chinese food place in the area. Great food, wonderful owners and prices are great. I love their broccoli in garlic sauce, my husband loves their general tso. Friend rices are great too. Lunch specials are so awesome-so much food!“
“Absolutely delicious.Had no idea they are right next to UPS.Got a simple fried fish with pork fried rice and they subbed the egg roll for a shrimp one no charge! The total was amazing, and tipped them so the total was only $13.00!It was super delicious, I could tell they used real fish instead of typical American nasty fish sticks, and they included a homemade tartar sauce!!! It was really the best fried fish/Chinese takeout I have ever had.I can’t wait to try more next time I drop off a letter or need to do laundry!“
“The cleanest Chinese restaurant I've ever been in, the husband and wife who run it are super friendly and the food is so much better than most. They don't overload everything with that syrup most places do and the vegetables actually feel and taste fresh. Love this place!“
“Moved back to Wallingford recently and passed this place a bunch so we decided to give it a shot. I really enjoyed the pork lo mein and shrimp lo mein. It has a small amount of spice to it which I liked. I also got the general tsos chicken chef combo with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken itself which seemed like frozen battered chicken and the sauce really not spicy so it was not that great in my opinion. The rice and egg roll were good though. My gf got the crab Rangoons which she liked. I also like they use plastic Tupperware-like snap on containers so no more soggy cardboard sitting in the fridge and great for other leftovers as well.Parking: There is another restaurant next door and only 6-7 spots.“
“I moved to Middletown from Massachusetts 2 years ago. We got take out for the first time from China City tonight. I have yet to get anything that is even remotely close to good Chinese food here as of yet. I will NEVER order Chinese food again...unless it's from China City. This was easily top 3 best Chinese food we have ever had. Pork fried rice, White rice, Chicken fingers and fries. Very minimal grease. Flavor was excellent. Price it suitable.Oh, I should mention that when my wife picked the food up the staff was VERY friendly.A fantastic dining experience, thank you China City.“
“I have only done take out and.for a quick in and out spot really good so far tried them 3 times the wierd aluminun tv dinner type pans they use i actually love keeps food warm and sauces from getting into rice and sogging out and really good “
“Great selection of broths is a plus, smaller than average sauce bar and a decent selection of veggies and proteins. I liked the ordering system where you fill out a menu and then press a button and give it to the waiter, but sometimes it took a couple button presses to get a waiter and they missed multiple things per order we put in.Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu and vegetable options along with veggie based brothsDietary restrictions: Minimal dairy in the food here if any at all, you basically make your own soup so you choose the ingredientsParking: Shopping center lotKid-friendliness: The hotpots aren't sunk into the table so it would be easy for a kid to knock the pot of hot liquid over“
“My husband and I have ordered from here several times. He always gets the same thing and it's delicious every time (boneless spare rib combo). I order around the menu and I've never been disappointed! We just ordered tonight and the egg rolls were piping hot, and freshly made. The service is always wonderful and friendly. The food is good, and consistenly so, which is what makes us regulars.Parking: Small lot right out front, but plenty of spots.“
“I used to come from wallingford to purchase food from this restaurant. Everything was fresh, shrimp rolls, spring rolls excellent, the cabbage used was actually green, so it was fresh! All meals were excellent quality. I haven't been there in years so I can't say if the menu is the same quality as before.“
“We order here once a week. Our orders are consistently hot, fresh and tasty. My husband orders general Tso, which he loves. They offer different levels of "spiciness", which is great cuz he shares with our toddler. I always get the steamed dumplings as a starter. They're always perfectly made, and the dipping sauce is sweet and salty, just as it should be. We've also tried shrimp with veggies, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken lo mein. Never any complaints, even from our older kids lol. This place is just a reliable go-to for classic Chinese food that never lets us down...“
“Went during the dinner rush, everything we had was fresh and good, from sushi to fried chicken. The restaurant was clean, but some of the patrons not so much. The staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy and didn't rush us out like I've read some others say. I will be back again with my family !“
“Food is delicious for the reasonable price. It’s not gourmet but for what they charge it is really good and a great amount of food. As far as delivery goes, the efficiency varies. I’ve never had serious issues. I think the longest I had to wait was an hour. (First world problems) the steamed dumplings are the best I’ve ever had and I’m a Chinese food lover. Anyway, best Chinese food around for an awesome price.“
“Simple and effective! Stopped in last night to grab something quick. I ordered a General Tso’s combination and a Large Pork Lo-Mein. When I went inside it reminded me of a place I used to frequent back in Queens. Family owned and operated, the young man who took care of me at the front was very polite. I got my food on-time and hot. The food was great, I have absolutely no complaints. The General Tsos was actually spicy like I prefer, the rice was fresh and flavorful. The Lo-Mein was just what I expected. I would definitely order here again.“
“They have apparently either learned to cook since opening or maybe it depends on what you order. The roast pork with snow peas is always excellent, they have decent PFR and lo mein. When they first opened, I ordered several things and they were all bad. Back then the General Tsao's chicken was like sweet and sweet and sour (I haven't tried it again because it was so bad) and they couldn't cook even rice. Still glad to have them in the neighborhood.“
