(Rt.184) Mystic, CT Somewhere In Time is the Sister Restaurant of ONE of my Favorite Breakfast Spots named 'When Pigs Fly' located in Waterford, CT. So I was hoping this spot was as good or better than her "Sister"!!😁 Upon walking in and recording with my phone I received a surprised and warm welcome from the Server Susan so that was a great start!😎❤️ The atmosphere was really cool, but it is divided into two sections, a front & back divided by a partial wall. The service was very warm, fast and welcoming so I felt like I was at Home. Let's get to the food. I dropped in this morning and ordered: 1. The Sampler (2 Eggs, toast, one buttermilk Blueberry Pancake, one Texas french toast, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, home fries, toast & coffee) $19.00 👍🏾 2. Cheesy Grits /bacon $6.00 💣 The Cheesy Bacon Grits were OH SO GOOD and thick too! They were the bomb 💣. The Sampler was a Delicious & healthy serving size! There was no way I could have finished all of it in one sitting. Everything besides the French Toast was Amazingly Dope! The French toast was super dry so one bite was enough.😁 The Sampler easily earned a thumbs 👍🏾 I loved my visit at Somewhere In Time so I highly recommend this Breakfast spot! “Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. Also we had to ask Jack what the specials were and he acted put out. What a change from two weeks ago with waiter Greg who was awesome“

“Absolutely amazing food, i got the fish and chips but replaced fries with onion rings. I would reccomend this cafe to friends, family etc. The live band was amazing and the drinks were even better. I got a grapefruit martini that was a little too bitter. I didnt even complain about it, but the owner herself saw my face and immediately offered to replace the drink or add to it to my liking. The service was phenominal and the food was just as amazing. Whether you just want a drink or are hungry, its seriously one of the best places in the area.“

“First time visit. Totally awesome food. Quiche was phenomenal! Cranberry-Walnut bread (toasted and buttered) terrific. Staff was very friendly, accommodating. They sell mini baked pies, breads and other baked goods on the premises. The restaurant setting with views on the river was perfect. In warm weather, there is a covered deck to enjoy the river view even better. It's open today with Mother's Day specials. I'll be back again soon even though for me it's a 40-minute drive.“

“Today was our first time ordering. Our food was ready for pick up in under 15 minutes! The staff was very kind.The soup had a generous amount of wontons. They were delicious. The boneless spare ribs were savory and tender. The pork fried rice was good but could have used more vegetables and pork. But all in all it was delicious combined with the boneless spare ribs. We also did a side of wings. They were nice and crunchy. We’ll def be back to try more items.“

Every year we come up to CT and have to come to our favorite Pizza place. I get spaghetti w extra meatballs and cheese. My husband always a grinder. The best is the rice pudding. Omgoodness the very best. We love the owner. He always has a big hug and the whole staff is wonderful. We always have a cooler full from Midway Pizza.

“Although most of the time when my grandmother and I visit, not many are there; it's still a nice place to go to. The waitress I had was very kind and energetic/ enthusiastic while we waited. She was also kind enough to try to make iced coffee when I asked! Will say, the iced coffee was worth the order and wished it was on the menu-especially with how hot it has been lately. Quite good food to try there, a good spot to try.“
