“I’ve found it. The best way to blow through a paycheck over a single breakfast. Espresso and a pastry for $15…. But, somehow, I think I’ll be coming back. Love the communal atmosphere with great big heavy wooden tables and chairs. A number of 4 and 6 tops as well. Bright and airy open feel make this a lovely warm atmosphere to share a delicious espresso and pastry. Espresso was quite tasty but unfortunately served in a tiny paper cup - I guess I should have specified I was eating in. Nice nuttiness and a subtle bitterness and right up my alley. There were so many amazing looking pastries on display i really struggled to decide how to put back on all of the calories I just lost on my Peloton but eventually landed on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissant. And - holy smokes - it did not disappoint. The thing must weigh 8 ounces due to it being stuffed with chocolate chip cookie dough and a plethora of incredibly delicious molten chocolate. Incredibly naughty and delicious. Great spot to stop in for a pastry but they also have a larger menu with salads and breakfast specialties in addition to their lovely baked goods. Unreal!!“

“The opera cake is my favorite thing there after trying every cake, but the seven layer, tiramisu, and carrot cake are also so so good!!! The baguettes are incredible, the cookies are amazing, I have not had one thing from Patisserie Salzburg that hasn’t been spectacular😙😙“

“123sourdpugh is truly a gem in Pound Ridge! The bread is absolutely amazing — real sourdough with the perfect balance of taste and texture. You can tell right away that they use high-quality ingredients, and every bite reflects the care that goes into making it.

Beyond the bread, they also offer incredible matcha, delicious sandwiches, Asian-inspired bites, and other tasty products that make it hard to leave empty-handed.

On top of that, the people who work there are incredibly friendly and kind. For me, that says a lot about the place: when employees are proud of what they’re selling, you know the product is something special.

I’m so Glad my husband found a bakery that not only is named black forest but also bakes the most delectable Black Forest cakes I have ever had. “Mom and Pop bagel place. Awesome tasting bagels for a very reasonable price. Place gets very busy. We stopped by around 930am and had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. But, It was worth it. Fresh bagels were being made as we waited. It was cool to see the baking process.“

“Springdale bakery is on to something! Their bread is ridiculously good. I placed an order and it was on my doorstep the next morning, freshly baked. It reminds me of the crazy good bread you get for breakfast in Europe. We have so far eaten it toasted with butter and honey and with split pea soup.I’ve got all kinds of crazy ideas for this bread…including toasting it and crumbling it on top of Mac and cheese.Already placed my next order. They have struggled to keep consistent staff and several of the new staff don't seem to listen to your order. Sandy is amazing, friendly and courteous. I called Manny's Bakery I didn't even know they were there, I always thought is was a convenience store, spoke to Manny himself, he said email me the picture let's see what we can do. After reviewing the picture he was like we can't make the cupcake look square it's usually round, so I asked what if you can make it a square cake and then cut it into 30 individual pieces and then decorate them and he said YES we can do that, mind you I had mentioned the same thing to all the other bakeries I had spoken to. I brought by the original Minecraft toy so they could get the colors correctly and everything turned out GREAT they made my son totally happy and the talk of his school. “I stopped by Caribbean Bakery & Mini Mart for dinner and went straight for their oxtail with rice & peas and veggies. The plate was huge, and you could smell the seasoning before it even hit the table. The oxtail was flavorful, tender, and coated in a rich sauce that really pulled the dish together. The rice was fluffy, the peas earthy, and everything had that authentic homemade Caribbean taste.

If I had one wish, it would be for the oxtail pieces to be a little meatier — because the flavor had me wanting more. Portion-wise though, they don’t skimp, and everything tasted fresh.

Service was straightforward, the spot has that local charm, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re craving real Caribbean flavor in the area. One heads-up: parking can be tough, especially earlier in the day, so plan ahead.
