“Oh, Batchy, master of the coffee art, Your brews a symphony of taste and grace. With every cup, you craft with loving heart, A drink that brings a smile to each face. Compared to you, the giant seems so pale, Their coffee burnt, a shadow of the bean. In haste and bulk, their essence tends to fail, A bitter brew where subtle notes are lean. Your coffee sings, with richness, depth, and care, A flavor journey, smooth and full of cheer. Where Starbucks scorches, leaving taste threadbare, Your roast delights, with balance pure and clear. In every sip, your passion is revealed, A brew that elevates the soul and mind. No charred remains, but vibrant notes unsealed, A cup of joy, with craftsmanship refined. So raise a toast to Batchy’s perfect blend, A testament to what true coffee means. For in his brew, the art and heart transcend, A masterpiece among the coffee scenes.“

“I'm a Field Tech from Western MA. A friend of mine took me to Jimmy's 45 years ago. Torrington is a ways to go, but I take jobs there just so I can go to Jimmy's. In 45 years little has changed, especially the quality of the prepared foods. I was raised on Italian food, and this is as good as it gets. I have a job in Torrington tomorrow. See you for lunch, and get something special for Sunday dinner. And the staff there is a joy as well.“

“Dirk & Co prepared an outstanding menu for my wife’s birthday party- we had 18 people and everyone commented how great the food and tastes were- a few said they were not fans of Thai cuisine before they tried the Green Papayas food… and even they came away big fans! Big home run in every regard! Thanks, we’ll be back“
“Parking: Fine, more in the back of the building / Dog Friendly: Yes, very. They have a k9 menu for the patio / Outdoor dining: Yes, full service picnic tables/ The food was honestly fantastic and I didn't expect it to be so good. It is the best food I've had in Winsted or the surrounding area, by far. They were very accomodating to my dog. Service was fast. They have you start a tab and slide your card from the get and you just close out when you're done. It was a really excellent experience.“

“Great place to stop when I'm up that way fishing. I can't decide if I like the chilli/cheese or the fire dog better, so of course I get both.“

“Our entire family, six adults and two children, enjoyed a fabulous lunch here last Saturday. The food was absolutely delicious! We decided to go big and had the ribs, both types of sausage, pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, chicken leg and thigh, collard greens, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread and more. We ate our fill and had enough left overs for four adults to enjoy lunch and dinner on Sunday! The meats were perfectly smoked and the sides were incredible. If you're ever out that way, be sure to stop by Zach and Lou's for a delicious meal!
Wheelchair accessibility: I use a wheelchair and it was actually quite easy to enter the restaurant.“

“Food was so good we got 3 dishes eggs are up in price you pay 1.5/2 extra onto of priced foods. FIRST restaurant I've been too that has done that, they also charge for a cup to bring home your coffee. Besides these cheap expenses they pass on to the customer I still recommend you give them a try.. also they use margin instead of real butter on the toast even if you ask for butter which is dissapointing.“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Brewery Legitimus many times throughout the years, and it never disappointed me.
The brewery is spacious enough: the indoor space is separated into two rooms, which makes it easy to have a private event. There is a patio opened during warmer months, as well as several tables near the main entrance (a smaller patio). The place does not serve any food, but the food trucks are usually onsite. Also, the taproom, received an upgrade recently and now you can order cocktails from their bar.
The selection of beers is fine, although it is IPA-heavy. But you can also find several other styles on tap - Marzen, Kolsch, Ales, etc. The place not only serves beer flights of 4, but also sells 6oz drafts, so you can try more beers. I've had almost all the beers they sell during past visits (and refreshed them with new releases during the latest visit). The beers are not frequently rotated, so I only saw 6 new beers compared to my visit several months ago. The beers are always solid. It is safe to order any style and be sure that you will have the best quality. I'm not into IPAs, so from their selection I will definitely recommend their Barrel Aged bottles - Lord Dobson's (Imperial Stout) and Maple Girl (Belgian Tripel). Both of those have an immensely reach barrel taste.
This is definitely a good brewery to hang out with your friends and have a decent beer.“
