“I seriously loved this place. The atmosphere and the customer service were amazing, but the food is what really won me over. I just finished eating and felt like I had to write a review. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and so comforting.

Even though the menu is international, there are a lot of Ecuadorian dishes and snacks that really stood out to me. It made me so happy to see my country’s food represented in such a beautiful way. I haven’t experienced that in a long time.

“Everyone talks about Sally's or Frank Pepe's apizza here and there but frankly the best pizza I've had in New Haven so far is from this spot. They do take forever to make your pizza on busy days, regardless it is well worth waiting for. I'm assuming the pizza would be less expensive if they didn't charge so much for toppings. The pizzas are huge, plan accordingly with a group of buddies instead of ordering a whole pie for yourself. Would say the same of the calzone, which a friend got“

“Wonderful selection of deli sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches and much more food on the go. They are located in a great location for lunchtime. I have been coming here for years and the quality food and sandwiches are there. There burgers are prepared fresh. Turkey egg and cheese are great. Tuna fish sandwiches are always fresh.“

“It's a little neighborhood shop near St. Raphael's hospital. I walked there and had a bologna egg and cheese sandwich. bologna wild not normally be my first thought on a breakfast sandwich but it was in the menu so I tried it. I little salty, and not very healthy, but it was grilled and got and delicious.“

“Love this place! It’s the heart of the neighborhood. Everyone comes here for coffee, snacks, great food, and essentials! The owner is a great guy and everyone he has working there are really down to earth and nice. Out of all the neighborhood bodegas you can choose from in the Hill, I recommend 4 J’s 100%!“

“My first time here today. Chipotle was closed down by the Health Department. Rats I guess according to another customer at the Marketa. The deli was packed with students after high school but the gentleman up front asked me if I wanted deli and he expedited my order. I would recommend doing business here.“

“Pastrami & Cheese 11.55$ for the full sub was extremely hot and cheesy, was out in less than 5 mins.

Only thing that caught me off guard is the pastrami is cut small and cubed instead of big slices. It is not as salty, so tasted closer to ham, but still delicious. Will be back to try steak and cheese.“

“I’m not a regular patron of the old B&M deli but I can say I have tasted the old VS new and coming from another town, I am proud to say that the shoes have been filled! The quality and dedication that the new owners bring surpasses any deli nearby.( I can only speak within my parameters) we can all talk about quality meats which many places lack. “Great little place to get a hand made fresh sandwich! Really good prices with generous portions. I immediately became a regular! I’ve come here at least once daily for the past week. I’ve gotten breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and have always left very pleased.

It is primarily for to-go orders but there are a few little stools and a counter you can dine at if you like.“
