“First found Ninth Square at CompassionFest! Food SO delicious & healthy - now that we’ve found their New Haven place we can get the food more often. The pictures & videos make my mouth water!!!😋“

“This is my 1st time coming here and it won't be the last. The bagels are extra fresh and the staff are amazing. I was greeted with a smile and awesome conversation. The only thing is that it's small and not much room to move around. But I still love this place.“

“Finally tried Bella Casa Vegana and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! Got the buffalo “wings” and veggie pizza delivered - both were insanely good. The vegan cheese actually tastes authentic (no weird fake cheese vibes) and my non-vegan roommate couldn’t stop stealing my buffalo wings lol.
It’s a bit pricey but portions are huge so I had leftovers. Delivery was quick and the online ordering was easy.

Only complaint is the location seems hard to find for pickup since it shares a building with another place, but for delivery it’s perfect. Really solid vegan option in New Haven!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“I had a great experience from the Old World Pizza Truck at a recent party. I thought I had seen everything possible on a pizza but there pizza topping combos were different, fresh and above all, delicious. The wood fired gluten free pizza was the best I ever had and the coffee & Gelato were a perfect ending. The Staff were friendly, helpful and great. “Our server Devine was amazing and so well poised. The appetizers of meatballs and their charcuterie was presented beautifully. The only issue was with dinner. We got the squid ink pasta and the filet. You could 110% taste the food was high quality and fresh but it missed the mark for us on taste. It lacked so much flavor. If you’re looking for a good simple meal with 5 star service, this is the place but if you’re looking for dishes that the chef cares about flavor and excitement, this restaurant lacks in that. It was a good experience over all but we were just disappointed because there’s so much potential for it to be a restaurant where you go back specifically for that one dish because it tasted so good.“

“Everyone talks about Sally's or Frank Pepe's apizza here and there but frankly the best pizza I've had in New Haven so far is from this spot. They do take forever to make your pizza on busy days, regardless it is well worth waiting for. I'm assuming the pizza would be less expensive if they didn't charge so much for toppings. The pizzas are huge, plan accordingly with a group of buddies instead of ordering a whole pie for yourself. Would say the same of the calzone, which a friend got“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. Next time i know not to come right when they open up.“

“We stopped by for lunch and had the best hamburgers that we have ever eaten. The french fries were unbelievable and were perfectly cooked. The hamburgers were very flavorful. The atmosphere was incredible and the wait staff did an amazing job. Joseph, the owner, came out and spoke with us, and we told him that these were the best hamburgers we ever had. If you love hamburgers, then this is a destination location for you. The food is that good! You will not be disappointed!!!“

“This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

The vegetable dinner option I enjoyed today was perfect. I highly recommend the cabbage, black eye peas, and Caribbean rice along with the amazing potato salad. And I must add that the moist, scrumptious, and famous corn bread couldn’t have been better. Sandra’s is a place I will return to.
