“Recently went to Bobby's to dine in. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly server. Shortly after we sat, she was there with menus and taking our drink order. She was friendly and attentive during our entire meal there.

For dinner, we ordered the Montana pizza as well as some garlic bread. The pizza was really good! We enjoyed the crust and it was very generously loaded with chicken and the other toppings. The garlic bread was good, it just had a bit more cheese for my taste.

The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I would definitely recommend Bobby's and return to try other pizzas.“

Second visit to Ozzy’s, this time rolling in with the Slice Mob, and it only confirmed what I already knew, Lou’s the real deal. No gimmicks, no shortcuts, just respect paid the New Haven way: through damn good pizza.

Ozzy’s lives inside the East Rock Market, a cool, community-driven space full of local spots; coffee, food, good energy everywhere. It’s laid-back, social, and exactly where you want to be when great pizza hits the table.

We started with the buffalo chicken, built on Lou’s housemade sauce, bold, tangy, perfectly balanced. Then came the half-sauce, half-mozz pie: simple, honest, and flawlessly executed. Bright tomato, creamy mozz, and that two-day fermented crust with the perfect chew and char.

This round, we also went big with The Swanson, a carnivore lover’s dream stacked with flavor, and The Gene Parmigian, a chicken cutlet lover’s fantasy, crispy, cheesy, and pure comfort.

Lou doesn’t need to talk up his food, it speaks for him. Each pie is proud, passionate, and crafted with heart.

The end product as well as the prices, which are slightly high, but absolutely worth it considering the quality. In addition to great pizza the wings at Whitney are amazing. Huge, meaty, super flavorful, FRESH wings are very hard to avoid.
They are open super late (between 1-3am while school is in session at The Q. Primarily takeout & delivery (they have a couple of tables and a few barstools), however the place is very clean. Even the restroom is glistening.

If you are traveling on the Merritt or I-91 a pit stop at Whitney pizza is the pro move.“

“What an absolute delight. The staff here are wonderful, kind and prompt. The entrance is spacious to facilitate easy pick up and ordering, but then you step through the arch and the dining room is lovely. Genuinely quite pretty and spacious and the seating they have is spread out so you can have a little privacy. If you had a local pizza parlor that felt like home to you Sorrento's will immediately put you at ease. Then on top of all of this the pizza is excellent. They do a thin crust that is perfectly crispy and the sauce is really tasty. They also are generous with their toppings and do an excellent balancing act so that no one ingredient is outshinuny the others and instead the dish itself presents itself to you. Im already looking forward to coming back, and if you are still reading this review I hope you'll give this resteraunt a try too because if I had to sum it up in one word it would be delightful.“

“I have been ordering takeouts at Il Forno for the past seven. I started with bacon and onions pizza which was great. I then changed to eggplant pizza and it has to be the best I have ever had. Now I have moved on to shrimp marinara with linguine and I can't tell you how great this dish is. The shrimp are so large and fresh and the sauce is excellent. The filet of sole must weigh at least 2 pounds and my husband gets it every week. The filet is enough for two meals and so is the shrimp. Thank you Il Forno for making our Friday takeout a special treat.“

Crust was suuuuppper thin, crispy at the top, foldable with excellent sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Very reasonable! Also ordered a ruben for the next day and this did NOT disaapoint! Even with reheat, it was DELICIOUS! Very generous corned beef, tangy sauce, plenty of kraut & cheese. FILLING! Came wrapped in foil so super easy 2nd dinner . Will absolutely order again. “Ordered a few times for delivery and pickup. Delivery is great, always on time and if not, always before expected. Personal favorite pizzas I'd recommend are the Potato Pie, Grandma Pizza, and the Chicken Caesar Pizza. All are delicious and these impressed my friends and I very much, sauce is very flavorful, and the crust is cooked just right, not too crispy but also not too floppy. Last time I was there I picked up an Avocado Chicken Panini, and a J Blue Panini, which were both very delicious. I'm a big fan of the Blueberry sauce on the J blue, it surprised me! Currently a big fan of the pastas, you cannot go wrong with any of them like the Pollo Monte Carlo, Chicken Cacciatore, Penne Alla Vodka, etc. Fair prices too, and all of the staff are very friendly and kind too, 5/5 MUST TRY, it surprised me being my new spot!“

Some friends and I were getting together and we were talking about restaurants to go to, and I had mentioned that I had never tried Tollis. We decided to give it a go. And I have never been happier with a decision ever! We had the white clam pizza, we had the Amalfi pizza. And I couldn’t decide which was my favorite. My friends had the Bolognese sauce, which the waitress brought a little bowl so they could try it with some bread before they ordered their entrée! Nice touch! It was fantastic! “My husband and I ordered a pizza to go from Carini’s for the first time under their new management. We ordered the Smog pizza. It had sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions as toppings. The pizza was absolutely delicious! It had just the right amount of mozzarella. The sausage was so tasty and the mushrooms, onions, and peppers were fresh and cooked perfectly. Having grown up in New Haven, I loved that the crust was on the thinner side. I highly recommend Carini’s! We look forward to ordering more pizza or stopping in for dinner some night!“
