50 Best Pizza Restaurants near North Branford

“Recently went to Bobby's to dine in. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly server. Shortly after we sat, she was there with menus and taking our drink order. She was friendly and attentive during our entire meal there.

For dinner, we ordered the Montana pizza as well as some garlic bread. The pizza was really good! We enjoyed the crust and it was very generously loaded with chicken and the other toppings. The garlic bread was good, it just had a bit more cheese for my taste.

The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I would definitely recommend Bobby's and return to try other pizzas.“

“Nicky’s Place in East Haven never disappoints! Amazing pizza, the best wings, hearty pasta dinners, huge fresh salads, stacked sandwiches, exceptional fried seafood dinners and juicy burgers—everything is delicious. Ashley is the star behind the bar, and Anthony, the owner, works nonstop to make sure every bite is perfect. Great food, great people, great vibes!“

“I’ve ordered through Uber Eats multiple times and it never disappoints. Absolutely amazing New Haven style pizza! The white rabbit is my go-to with light cheese and well done. It’s thin, crispy and delicious! Love! I also must note the graphics on the pizza box are awesome. Always put a smile on my face!“

“Kevin and his wife are almost like family there! I travel from Prospect since this is the closest to "real" pizza and the crust does not taste like cardboard. I'm moving to Shelton and will be visiting them from there soon!!“

“Having an outside party? THIS is the best food truck to hire! Today, June 21,2025, I’m at my niece’s graduation party & this food truck was amazing! It’s like having a personal restaurant on your lawn. The pizza was fantastic -THE BEST- actually! Frank made me a gluten free pizza with potato, bacon & carmelized onions. Oh my goodness! It has to be the BEST GF pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Super thin, well cooked! I can’t say enough good things about this pizza. He made all types of pizza. Very organized, clean and so delicious! Wonderful people to talk to! Then they have other services like Gelato Giuliana-between the pizza and the gelato-it is the best of New Haven! Then if that wasn’t enough, he made Italian coffee! I have never been so impressed by a food truck in my life as I was today! Wonderful experience! Best Wishes to Frank & his team! Buon Appetito!“

“First time there. Wanted to try a different place than our usual couple of places. Very interesting menu with a huge variety, we had to bring home 3 different pies to try, and they were great! Can’t wait to go back and try more. 🍕❤️“

“Just go here stop reading the reviews. Great staff even better pizza.

Went in one day looking for a slice have only gone there since. I won't get pizza anywhere else consistency is on point and the staff and owners are super friendly and the pizzas are always fantastic.“

“My son and I went today for lunch. I have been wanting a pistachio martini since I saw it made from the happy bartender with the huge smile. I didn’t get her name but see her on the Christos fb videos. Did not disappoint was delicious. She is a great bartender and a wonderful waitress l. We sat in the bar area and it was enjoyable as it wasn’t loud and the table gave us plenty of room for our meal. Brussels Sprouts were delicious as always I had a Cajun wrap and my son had a huge salad loaded with chicken and avocado 🥑 I remember Christos when it was in the plaza and the food never disappoints. I also enjoy the daily family specials text to me. If you haven’t signed up to get the daily specials text to you do it. So many great meals to pick up and bring home. There’s two different specials. Every day lunch and dinner. Give Christos a try if you haven’t been you won’t be disappointed. I live in West Haven but my son is lucky enough to live in North Haven and pick up from Christos on his way home from Westport.“

“Antonio's on Route Five earns my highest recommendation - it's absolutely amazing. After accidentally misinterpreting the combo option as an opportunity to create a fully customized pizza, I was pleased to find the staff remarkably friendly and understanding when they clarified it only included all the meats and veggies . They made me a new pizza“

“Love these guys. This place is like 2 minutes from me, I get food here all the time. The guys running the show are all awesome, and the food is great. All of the people I've shown the pizza to as well (~20) say great things about it as well.“

“its the best pizza in town chicken bacon ranch its the best as the spinach and cheese white pizza“

“Carla and Rob and their staff make you feel welcome and have excellent Italian fare, both imported and home-made. Do not pass up the gelato as it's all fresh and there are amazing choices, changing constantly. Can't say enough good things about this venue and it's owners.“

“John came out with their famous pizza truck and wowed us with an amazing variety of pizzas. Their service and quality made our celebration extra special. I think my favorite was the fig pizza…and the bbq chicken and the Nutella pizza and the different flavors of gelato. Thanks John and Naples Pizza.“

“I absolutely love Whitney Pizza. Been grabbing take out from this place since they opened. Pizza would best be described as a cross
Between New Haven & NYC styles. These guys use quality ingredients and it is reflected I. The end product as well as the prices, which are slightly high, but absolutely worth it considering the quality. In addition to great pizza the wings at Whitney are amazing. Huge, meaty, super flavorful, FRESH wings are very hard to avoid.
They are open super late (between 1-3am while school is in session at The Q. Primarily takeout & delivery (they have a couple of tables and a few barstools), however the place is very clean. Even the restroom is glistening.

If you are traveling on the Merritt or I-91 a pit stop at Whitney pizza is the pro move.“

“Hands down the best pizza place in Wallingford!!! Highly recommended. Hopefully @barstoolsports gives them a review one day! My score is a solid 8.6 👍🏻 Also a big thank you to the owner Fabi for always giving the best service“

“We stop there every weekend and have breakfast, the staff is very friendly and they know what we order as we sit“

“I have been ordering takeouts at Il Forno for the past seven. I started with bacon and onions pizza which was great. I then changed to eggplant pizza and it has to be the best I have ever had. Now I have moved on to shrimp marinara with linguine and I can't tell you how great this dish is. The shrimp are so large and fresh and the sauce is excellent. The filet of sole must weigh at least 2 pounds and my husband gets it every week. The filet is enough for two meals and so is the shrimp. Thank you Il Forno for making our Friday takeout a special treat.“

“Excellent pizza. Thin crust, good red sauce, tasty toppings. Great central location too!“

“absolutely friggin amazing pie 10/10“

“A few months ago we saw this pizza place and decided let’s give it a try. It has quickly become my go to spot in north haven. The staff is always awesome and the pizza just keeps getting better and better tonight I don’t know who was making the pizza but it was amazing. Thank you guys.“

“We been visiting since 2006 and we love the experience each time. We love the pizza, ice cream this are our favorites but everything is 200% fresh and tasty jummy. I love that they care and the love they have for customers is great, the owner is very humble and she is a beautiful person. I recommend you go and visit the farm and the farm stand so you can get your fresh meats, eggs, jam, milk, get a slice of pizza on the way and for the children the ice cream is a most. Blessings🤗🤗“

“Hidden gem imo. The guys in the back are consistently making banging pies. Atmosphere is hit or miss. When you have the older ladies handle the counter everything is all good.
When the younger kids work the counter it make me wish that maybe ai is not such a bad idea.“

“Excellent pizza and such a nice family!! We were there last night, 🤌🏼 delicious ☺️!!“

“We had a picnic wedding celebration for our daughter and son-in law at our home. They had gotten married in Italy a few months before. The pizza choices were amazing and delicious, never a line. Salad, gelato and expresso were all a hit with our guests. I would recommend using them. Luigi is wonderful and easy to work with.“

“10 / 10 pizza.. I don’t usually rate stuff 10/10 but it was so amazing. I ate a whole small pepperoni pizza..great authentic atmosphere, with a delicious foxon park birch beer. not very busy, and the pepperoni are cupped shaped 🤤“

“Four of us walked in here for lunch after the Thimble Islands tour. The place was well run and busy. Each of us ordered different sandwiches. We sat ourselves outside and enjoyed the view. Our food came promptly and we were all mostly very pleased with the quality. The only one complaint was about the quality of the croissant itself in one sandwich , but overall, we were very pleased with the taste. My turkey on a ciabatta was excellent. We would definitely return again!“

“Had a craving for New Haven style pizza. It was ice storming so allot of places were closed, but I was VERY happy with Branford Pizza! Crust was suuuuppper thin, crispy at the top, foldable with excellent sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Very reasonable! Also ordered a ruben for the next day and this did NOT disaapoint! Even with reheat, it was DELICIOUS! Very generous corned beef, tangy sauce, plenty of kraut & cheese. FILLING! Came wrapped in foil so super easy 2nd dinner . Will absolutely order again. THANK YOU!!!“

“Eric was our server and honestly, I would come back just for him to be our server again. My wife and myself have a few allergies that are a bit rare and Eric made sure to accommodate EVERYTHING for us. He made sure that all the food was safe for us and double checked multiple times with the chefs. 11/10 would recommend coming to Haven, and definitely ask for Eric for your server!“

“Every Friday after i get my kids from school, we take our family walk over to our favorite deli/snack store. the food cooked to perfection, the service is always heartwarming. As a family man, this is the type of establishment i love to treat my family to. it's worth the time and Money.“

“Authentic. The Matt & Melissa are experts in real Italian cooking and wines. Authors of “The Italian Farmer's Table: Authentic Recipes and Local Lore from Northern Italy” & of lovers of that #MionettoStyle“

“My husband and I ordered a pizza to go from Carini’s for the first time under their new management. We ordered the Smog pizza. It had sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions as toppings. The pizza was absolutely delicious! It had just the right amount of mozzarella. The sausage was so tasty and the mushrooms, onions, and peppers were fresh and cooked perfectly. Having grown up in New Haven, I loved that the crust was on the thinner side. I highly recommend Carini’s! We look forward to ordering more pizza or stopping in for dinner some night!“
