“Matches Tavern is one Foxwood's little known gems. Delicious casual fare at reasonable prices in an elegant, dark wood pub style atmosphere. It is actually across the street from the casino in the down stairs of the Golf Club House. Ariana was our server. Friendly and professional. I had the Chicken and Bacons sandwich with Fries for $16.95. Great tasting & well priced. I highly recommend this place.“

Our food was delivered quickly, and everything was great. We had Cod Bites as a table app, pei mussels and fish and chips. We ordered Wendy's ice cream pie and Becky's Apple Crisp. I'd go back just for the apple crisp!! Great spot!“

“Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. Also we had to ask Jack what the specials were and he acted put out. What a change from two weeks ago with waiter Greg who was awesome“

“We visited here for the first time last night and we were not disappointed! The dining room is a bit dark, but it’s nice and tastefully decorated. Our server was Christina and she was great. Very friendly and personable. She was very genuine and not faking it for the job. The food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the famous Bisque Bomb, which was pricey, but worth every penny. My husband had a cup of bisque and the B&B tacos with shrimp, and he said both were very good. If you’re in the area this summer, give Ford’s Black and Blue a try. Great food and great staff.“

“Just a sumptuous dinner at one of the most stately of resorts. Everything about the visit was 5 stars plus! The staff is top notch and exceptionally friendly. Our server was Ricardo and he was excellent. The most serene water view from our table added to the ambience. The summer campanelle and the Italian sausage rigatoni were perfect. The chocolate torte and the panna cotta were perfect. The drinks such as the Weekapaug sunrise were perfect. Definitely a place to come back to again and again.“

“I went there a few months ago and got a steak, I want to say it was the strip steak. It was cooked to perfection and the side was perfect as well. I went last night and got the wings, they were supposed to be maple sriracha? I tasted neither. The dip wasn't all that great just overall flat meal, and the wings were rubbery I like them crispy which is my fault I probably should have asked for them crispy? Not terrible but could have been great.“

“I have gone to Sam's shack for years ...always enjoyed the sun and the parking attendant was always a hoot. We have since became friends. They have a wonderful lifeguard on duty at all times throughout the week. Good food at the shack . Breakfast and lunch or snacks ?. Plenty of parking also $20

“Exceptional service and all around positive experience! I am hesitant to say anything negative about this venerable place because I love it. However, establishments which strive for perfection and promote themselves as the best, need to attain excellence at every turn. This was not the case at last nights dinner at the Coast, Ocean House's finest restaurant. I treated my friend to a special birthday dinner and the entirety of the experience held its worth. Dinner was fun, delicious and very, very salty. Not just one dish (Stonington lobster with noodles was a challenge to eat, despite the generally good flavor, and I could not finish it) but a couple of other items suffered (especially the accompanying carrot offered with the Wagyu beef dish swam in large sea salt flakes). Now this may sound picky but, the expectation is perfection, and it was not. The dinner was great but it didn't feel special. Sad because it was very expensive. Fortunately, the exceptional service made up for the slightly disappointing food. All of this being said, I recognize how difficult it must be to bring your “A”game every single day. I'll give them another try with the hope that the “A game” is on the menu.“

“We love going to the Mystic seaport and this was a great pub! The food was terrific and the beer was great. You order inside of the counter and they bring it to your table outside. They also have indoor seating. Would recommend if you are going to see the historic village.
