“We are HUGE fans of the store in midtown next to the Marriott Marquis. We go often before or after Broadway shows and this is very reminiscent of that in terms of food and vibe. Thrilled it's only a short drive from home. We will make plenty of visits.“
“Brought my boys out for pizza and a drink. What a friendly environment. Was greeted by Krista at the door. What a lovely lady. She introduced us to our server Coyrell, who was pleasant and on point. The cauliflower pizza crust is a great option as a substitute for flour. I usually enjoy a mocktail but their cocktails are just as tasty .“
“Our waiter Randi was one of the most fun and nicest waiters I’ve ever had. She chatted with us a bit while taking our order and let out positive energy. The food was great with good seafood and fabulous wings which we ate while watching march madness. The atmosphere was also great with a seaside vibe a nice bar and pretty lights.“
“Parking across street large lot. Chairs tables front of restaurant before you walk in. Bathroom to right as you walk in. Hostess to left. Get a seat closer to the bar area. Views are magical. Outside another dozen or more tables and a bar. So no need to worry about space. But as the season kicks in make a reservation. Prices are inexpensive for the shore. Food is excellent. Drinks prices reasonable. Good beer choices and mixed drinks.“
“Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.“
“This was our time eating at the Tin Peddler and we were very impressed. For our dinner date, the food, the service and the atmosphere were all great. The noise level was a bit too high, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, so I guess that's good. Definitely will be back.“
“Delicious food with a decent sized menu. We loved the 1/2 chicken, veggie rice and the empanadas. We finished with one of the best tasting flans I have had. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. They were will to answer any questions we had and explain the dishes.“
“We were traveling in the area and thanks to Yelp, we discovered Norm's Diner. What a wonderful discovery! We had an amazing breakfast ... omelette was cheesy and filled with broccoli. We also had corned beef hash that was delicious! The sourdough and rye bread toast were buttered to perfection. Our service was perfect and would love to travel back and try lunch! A hidden gem in Groton. We did four stars because we did not care for fried potatoes but everything else was AMAZING!“
“When we were booking our stay at the Mohegan Sun, I wanted to make reservations for somewhere special and I picked the MJ steakhouse. The MJ steakhouse did not disappoint. Their team of hostesses and waiters were awesome. I had a few of their "air" -spressos (pic attached) which were delicious. My bf and I shared the Flight 23 and an order of their mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. All of the meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious as well. Their special dessert of the night was creme brulee and it was to die for! Highly recommend this place!“
“Food is great with really reasonable prices. Portion size is awesome too. Really refreshing to find a restaurant with good food with good portions and that won't destroy your pocket. Hope this place never changes. The steak and cheese was enormous and the chicken sandwich was the size of my head. I have a giant head.“
“Absolutely amazing food, i got the fish and chips but replaced fries with onion rings. I would reccomend this cafe to friends, family etc. The live band was amazing and the drinks were even better. I got a grapefruit martini that was a little too bitter. I didnt even complain about it, but the owner herself saw my face and immediately offered to replace the drink or add to it to my liking. The service was phenominal and the food was just as amazing. Whether you just want a drink or are hungry, its seriously one of the best places in the area.“
“Wedding photographer, Mystic local, and food lover here...Oyster Club is the best restaurant in Greater Mystic for sure. I've been with my wife for a few special occasions but have also photographed a wedding celebration here.Chef Renee and company know what they are doing. If you're anything like me, you'll love the uniqueness of everything Oyster Club has to offer, from the the dishes to The Treehouse. This is New England fine dining at its best.If you're in the area (and even if you're not; just make a reservation and plan a drive), you have to stop for a meal at Oyster Club!“
“Excellent atmosphere, service, libations and fare! Where else can you go to a Colonial Tavern-Restaurant that was built before the American Revolutionary War. I have been coming for years and have found that it’s gotten better if anything! Fireplace in the bar is great. It’s my favorite in Mystic CT.“
“I loved this restaurant. It is a fun and lively environment. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the sea scallop risotto and the lamb chops as our main courses, they were both fantastic. For appetizers we got the ricotta bruschetta and white sauce mussels, also very good. The wait for our food was quite long but it was a busy night.“
“One of our favorite restaurants. Have been here upwards of 20 times or more and have never had a dish or cocktail we haven’t enjoyed. The best burger in town for sure and their sourdough is out of this world delicious. The menu changes often with a few staples so you’re never bored and can always try something new. Very fresh, always.Extremely talented team!“
“Unexpected delight! Great Bloody Mary’s, amazing garlic butter shrimp and hot lobster rolls! Menu has a wide variety of choices and we had TERRIFIC service. We will be back. (Sorry, enjoying the food too much to remember to take pictures!)“
“We found Kitchen Little by Googling places in the area and we were so happy with our experience there. We got the crab and lobster Benedicts and they were some of the best Eggs Benedict we've had in a long time. The vibe was a really nice balance between laid back diner and waterfront restaurant. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others!“
“My husband and I picked this place to try and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. We had the NE clam chowder and fritters for an appetizer and both were loaded with clams and the chowder was so creamy. For our dinner we both had the prime rib it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing. Our server Dee was also great she checked in with us and was super sweet. We will definitely be going back again.“
“This place is the best in all of Mystic! The manager Kristen goes above and beyond for every guest. Shaun the Chef and Co owner is outstanding! Perfect meals every time we have visited. The wait staff is impeccable! Jon is the best. I can’t rave enough about the place. I highly recommend to all!“
“Our waiter, Brian, who was also the hostess and bus boy at the time, was amazing! He was helpful, took his time explaining the menu with us and one of the best waiters we've had. The calamari was hot and delicious, and my fish tacos were delicious. We would certainly go back if we are ever in the area, so hats off to the chef and Brian. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience!“
“Engine room is a reliably good meal every time. It's not revolutionary or anything but everything is fresh and very tasty. Sometimes it can be somewhat of a long time to get things, but that's forgivable with how busy they usually are.“

“Unbelievably fantastic beer and dining. They have the best grilled oysters in New England. Pair it up with Effed Up On Pilz and you will be in Heaven. They even have Effed Up On Pilz shirts that are a one of a kind. You have to check it out.“
“I took my grandmother to Irenes for the first time and it did not disappoint. Food was great, service was excellent. The restaurant itself is not a bad place. If you want a good meal at a decent price, I recommend going to Irenes. I plan on doing a food review for my YouTube channel in the future.“
“Tonight my wife and I were with a party of ten, our waitress, Haley, was absolutely awesome! Despite our party size, and the fact I'm sure they had other tables to tend to, they were at our table asking if we needed things cleared or anything like that, more often than any other place we have been together. The food has been excellent, just as I'd ordered. The atmosphere is great despite my lack of care for country music haha, but the real winner was the service, Thank you Haley, my wife and I will be back again soon!“
“On Sunday 04/14 I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend's birthday at this spot. It was my first time and definitely won't be my last! The service, views, and food were amazing! I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was superb!“
“This little place is very cozy. It's in an historic town that gets extremely busy in the summer. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. There's beautiful artwork on the walls that are available for purchase. It has a bar but we sat at a table. There was a fireplace going. I ordered the Bulgogi lettuce wraps which is Korean style beef with Sriracha mayo as an appetizer, and the baked haddock with rice and vegetables for the main course. For dessert, I ordered the gingerbread pudding cake. The appetizer was fantastic. I forgot to take a picture before diving in. The haddock was cooked to perfection as well as the green beans. Unfortunately, I was served mashed potatoes with it instead of rice. The potatoes were very good but I thought it was a weird thing to serve with the fish. I wasn't a fan of the gingerbread pudding cake and wished I had gotten the spice cake instead. It was served with a sauce that made the texture of the cake too wet. All in all, I enjoyed my meal very much. It was a nice, relaxing atmosphere and we were able to sit and chat to kill time before we proceeded to a program at the Le Grua Center down the road.Parking: This town is very old and the streets are extremely narrow. We parked down the street and walked a couple blocks to the restaurant. We probably could have parked by the restaurant but opted to walk.“
“Found this gem in a quick search. We aren’t from the local area and chose 36 based on other reviews. Man, great food and service. Stuffed mushroom caps were amazing! Teriyaki chicken was amazing! Fried Mahi Tacos were amazing! Take all that and add Chiara, our waitress who provided great service and you get a total win!Highly recommended!“
“We stopped here on a whim on our way home. This place is the best. Service is top notch, and some of the nicest people in the world. Food was delicious, and the best breakfast food we've had in a long time. This is the way things should be these days. Simple diner atmosphere where people are kind to one another. Will be back again for sure!P.S. Our son Jake says thank you for the pop!“
“Stephanie one of the owners is so charming and creates such a friendly atmosphere here. You can feel the buzz when you come in. My Stonington fluke was a stomach shot back my days living in this delightful village. And friends loved their tuna. Yummy. Keep it going guys. You do a great job.“
“A New London staple! If you live here, you can disregard this review because you probably already know how good it is, and I would just be preaching to the choir. If you're new to the area, though, or just passing through- you need to check this place out asap. I've always loved coming here for a comfort meal, but it wasn't until a family trip to Charleston, SC until I truly appreciated how lucky I was to have Neon Chicken right in my backyard. We visited a restaurant down there that had been getting national coverage for how good their rotisserie chicken was. It had been on famous TV shows and had received plenty of accolades. To be clear, it did live up to the hype! But my family and I all agreed: It's great, but it's not as good as Neon. The service there is impeccable, always fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is very casual, with plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. My go-to order is a breast and thigh plate, mac and cheese, stuffing, and of course a piece of their corn bread. There's nothing that hits the spot quite like it on these chilly winter days.“
“This is a great choice for vegan food. Vegetables are great and there's always rice. It's like going home to eat. There is always something interesting. I can't find okra anywhere else in CT. The beef is so tender! The spices are perfect and not overwhelming. I have to drive 30 minutes to get there but it's worth it. Portions are large, I have lunch for two days. Yep, I highly recommend Mommy's.“
“Not your regular restaurant. We stopped for brunch on our way to the Orient Point ferry. What a wonderful surprise it was. Everything served is way above the standard quality of regular and even fine restaurants, for a very moderate price. I wish we would have a place like this closer to home!“
“One of the last great breakfast all day type/ endless menu and combos place around. Whatever you order is cooked to perfection with super quality ingredients. I know i know, sounds like a tv ad but im being honest. If you want some breakfast that takes you home as a kid, order "The mess". One loaded plate w everything one needs for a breakfast comfort meal! Oh yea, the servers and staff are #1!“
“Had best and Cutest waiter in town..Andrew...I order crispy chicken sandwich.. some reason I was expecting a small salad. It was not it was a piece of chicken the size of my face between beautifully toasted bread..the bread didn't stand a change with this chicken beast..somehow they need stronger bread for this sandwich....my daughter got doulde decker...said it was numy...I'll be back..also hello to the guys..mark, donnyand Paul “
“I went here for a work lunch and I had a pretty good experience! The service was really good, we had people join as they showed up and as soon as someone new arrived at the table, someone was over to ask them for their beverage order. Our food also arrived very quickly after ordering and the view of the golf course was lovely. I got the spicy chicken wrap and it was only okay, it was a little on the drier side and the tortilla seemed a little stale. It was peeling kind of strangely and felt hard. The fries were good, though. It was a still a good experience, there was a lot of seating available so I highly recommend for larger groups.“
“Had Sunday dinner here GREAT food. Server was GREAT. Entree meal was large enough to take home for another lunch.Parking: Flat lot 30-37 spots. Busy.Kid-friendliness: Family place. Kids seemed happy in there.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is flat. Small ramp to restaurant.“
“Stopped by for lunch before visiting the aquarium. The inside is really nice and the staff was friendly. I ordered the Bavarian brat that came with fresh cut fries. The fries were cooked well, but the fresh style is just not my favorite in general so these were just okay for me. The brat was huge. I ordered it thinking I’d have no problem finishing it/wouldn’t have leftovers before heading to the aquarium, but I honestly struggled to and did not finish it. It was a reasonable price of $15. I wish I wasn’t traveling so I could have tried some of the more unique looking menu items or a few cocktails, but I just didn’t have the room/time for them!Oh, as I was leaving I noticed a really nice large outdoor seating area that would be great to go to when the weather is nice!“
“I love this place. They are so good to me and my family. The staff is the real reason I keep coming back. And the food is VERY GOOD! But if you want a diner that give you the warm small town feel while feeding you like grandma would. This is the place!“
“We were a group of 5 in bit of rush to catch the ferry but came across this as we wanted to grab a quick bite before the ferry. Melora at Little Galapagos was the most fantastic server. She was amazingly helpful with the menu, quick with drinks and food, and went way above and beyond on service level. This was a completely random find for us and we were so glad we came here. Thank you Mel!“
“Food was good love this place definitely 5 star from meFood Is good and not to price. I eat mix over rice with salad and come with fries quantity was good to and the good thing is thay don't charge for extra white sauce. If u in new london u must have mix over rice and white sauce with some kiker sauce ? ? ? ?“
“It's what you'd come to expect from an excellent Diner, and it definitely has something of a family atmosphere, as well as one of "community" from the locals who live in the area. It's a diner, and not some highbrow restaurant, but considering what it is, I gave it five stars across the board. The portions are not tiny, but they're not tremendously large either, but it certainly is delicious, the service is friendly & decent-good (some visits I've had to flag-down my waitress to ask for a coffee refill, which I then soon recieved; & the staff is good with removing finished plates & trash from your table), & it's busy but roomy "diner" atmosphere is nice.“
“Bestie and I just did lunch. Extremely pleasant experience. Setting is peaceful and comfortable. Nautical theme setting on point, not over done. River view. Emasculate. Service was outstanding, profession without being stuffy. Very attentive without being pushy. Prices are surprisingly affordable. Off street parking, and ramped. Handicapped accessible. NOW, the food! Everything was beautifully presented. She have the French toast. Fluffy, flavorful cinnamon just highlighted the comfort food vibe. They do their own baking. I had on of the specials. Chicken ranch wrap. Perfect wrap bread. fresh chicken breast, not deli slices. Fresh veggies, lettuce, tomato, pepper, and a wonderful dressing. Everything played well together. Home style potato salad. Their own, I'm sure. Definitely going to be repeat customers I think that about covers everything“
“I LOVE the food here. The jambalaya is absolutely incredible and so are the collard greens. I can't stop ordering the same thing here because I love it so much. The staff are also extremely friendly and welcoming, even when they're busy.“
“One of the most iconic and quintessential Connecticut shoreline seasonal crab shacks. Consistently, not the norm for similar establishments, high quality service, food, presentation and unmatched scenery and venue. A true cultural asset to Connecticut’s culinary roadmap.“
“Best ribeye steak! I loved the stuffed mushrooms on top of my steak and the mash-baked potatoes on the side. The salad and desert were pretty awesome too. Service was superb ?. We dinned in on a Friday night, when it was busy, but had no waiting time. Prices are reasonable, and way below the outstanding quality and flavors enjoyed. Totally worth every penny spentExelente restaurante Mediterraneo!!!5*****“
“Matches Tavern is one Foxwood's little known gems. Delicious casual fare at reasonable prices in an elegant, dark wood pub style atmosphere. It is actually across the street from the casino in the down stairs of the Golf Club House. Ariana was our server. Friendly and professional. I had the Chicken and Bacons sandwich with Fries for $16.95. Great tasting & well priced. I highly recommend this place.“
“The waitress was attentive to our requests and made my birthday special. MJ3 is our go to place to eat when going to Mohegan Sun. I have been there three times so far this year and will continue to go because of the great atmosphere and amazing food.“
“A friend and I were in the area for poker and looking for somewhere great to eat before playing. We came across The Salty Heifer and were game to give it a try because of the name alone - before reading any reviews. Thankfully, we weren't disappointed. Yesterday afternoon, I had the best burger ever (The Phoenix Rising Burger); so much so that we returned again this morning to repeat that meal. So, for the first time ever in my life, I'm having a burger for breakfast. If you're looking for great food, energy / vibes and a really cool space to enjoy it all, then The Salty Heifer is the where you want to come.“
“Went to johnny rockets today for the first time in a long time and it did not disappoint. Shake was great the burger was even better and the waitress Kasey was ????? 5 star. My husband and I are the type to just like to be left alone and she could definitely read the room. I could hear the small talk with the table over and they were loving it and looking for it, by the way beautiful name for your daughter it's my name too! I appreciate the privacy and eye contact being enough to check on us without interrupting our date thank you johnny rockets for a great time and great food would highly recommend!!“
