“So we went here for dinner. Food was good. Decent for sure. Wish they had egg rolls but that wasn't the deal breaker. Towards the end of our meal during a conversation between all at the table we got a horrific whiff of what smelled like a rotting carcus and sewage. It was so strong it literally made me sick to my stomach.“

“Sushi 2020 is an absolute go to spot for me and my partner. It's a wonderful restaurant that is owned by a lovely couple who runs the entire place just by themselves! I am always floored with just how much warmth and kindness they treat us with, even on the busiest of days. Not only that, the food is made with great care and packed with tons of flavor! You can't go wrong with any of the menu items they have listed. Personally, I definitely recommend the mixed sashimi salad and Hoe-deopbap. If you're in the mood for something more warm, the Kimchi Sundu-Jigae just hits the spot. Highly recommend the Korean dumplings as well.

“My favorite restaurant in New Haven. It's pricey but worth it. The Braised Pork Belly is AMAZING and literally falls apart with your chop sticks, that's how soft it is. I've literally had friends drink the sauce after eating that pork belly. It's so good

The curry with wagyu beef is also super tasty. Highly recommend. And their sake flights are really good too.“

“Kama Sushi is our absolute favorite go-to sushi place. We've been coming here for at least five years and have NEVER been disappointed.
Normally we come with a group of 4 and always, always do the all you can eat menu. Its $26-28 a person and its delicious! Why go to another place where you can get a fraction of the amount of sushi and pay substantially more?
We have tried other all you can eat sushi places nearby and find Kama Sushi to be better. There are more choices, the fish is fresher, and the service is always good. Sometimes it can be slow when the place is crowded, but this is to be expected.
We really enjoy the Philadelphia (with cream cheese in the middle), the Alaska (with salmon), the Butterfly roll, and the Rainbow roll.
Of course, the fried oreos at the end are always awesome. Highly recommend!“

“This is by far a hidden gem! The food was delicious! The drinks were bomb. We made it for happy hour without realizing 2 for 1, can't go wrong. It was such a vibe. Paolma was super sweet and friendly. The staff was super attentive and the place is very clean. Don't be fooled by the outside go in you won't regret it!“

“Came here for the first time and honestly loved it. I do not remember our server’s name but he was amazing and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was great and had a really fun and comfortable vibe.

The bun appetizers were an awesome way to start. The pork belly bun was easily the best one. I also tried the Korean fried chicken bun with gochujang, daikon carrots, and kewpie, but it did not come close to the pork belly. The pork belly with hoisin, pickled daikon carrots, and kewpie was incredible.

The red oil dumplings were awesome. I loved the sauce and the garnishes. It leaned a little more on the vinegar side but in a way I really enjoyed.

The ramen Tonkotsu 3.0 was very tasty with a lot of depth in the broth.

The pho was more of a southern style pho, slightly sweeter, but you can really taste how long the broth has been simmering. I love tendon and tripe and while they only had tripe available to add, it was still very good.

Overall the food, service, and atmosphere were all on point. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.“

“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “The only thing to order here is the teriyaki chicken. It is simply the best food I have ever had in my life. The simpleness of veggies, rice, and chicken with mouth watering teriyaki sauce is making me drool right now. And it has been around for a very long time that my own father ate it when he was a kid. They treat everyone greatly and make it easy to talk to them and I am telling you right now, if you don’t get extra teriyaki sauce, you will regret it. Go to the mall and stroll to the food court and your eyes will spot the best food in America in my solid opinion.“

“The food was excellent. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with all vegetables plus additional vegetables. I ordered two one with shrimp I did not realize all vegetables was just cabbage and the additional stem vegetables was broccoli. They have a small order of sautéed vegetables realizing I should have ordered that instead and the second ordered had no shrimp. I ordered through grubhub because I was at work. I have eaten inside many times first time ordering through grubhub.“

“One of the Best Japanese Restaurants in Connecticut if you love Sushi and Sashimi. The Spider roll made with fried soft shell crab is to die for!! My wife had the Dinner Bento Box with the Bento Chicken and loved everything. The service was outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous. The soup or salad that comes with the meal is very good. We go to the best rated restaurants in Connecticut and NY. and if they were to improve their ambiance/atmosphere which is a little plain and make the restaurant more romantic it would be a destination restaurant and one of the best anywhere.“

“My fiancé and I loyally order from here when we are craving Chinese food or sushi. Not only does the food always hit the spot, but their service is amazing. When I informed the woman working at the front of my gluten sensitivity, she took time to run through every ingredient and its contents and triple checked there would be no contamination (who knew imitation crab had gluten?). They took my sensitivity very seriously and I’m extremely grateful for that, as this service is rare.

“The food was 🔥- so delicious and high quality. The vegetables were delightful. The steak was tender and cooked perfect. The chicken was also very delicious. I like how you can pick one or two proteins to mix it up. We also got the chicken egg rolls and they were so good, not too oily. Also, came with really good sauces, like Sriracha chilli sauce and extra teriyaki sauce. You can sign in and earn points.
Definitely cost effective and if you are trying to eat healthy you can remove the rice; which I appreciate. 💯 out of 10 we would eat here again! 😋“

“Normally the service and food is phenomenal! I’ve been coming to Kumo for about 20 years now I’ve never had anything less than A plus service and meals before today. The drinks were forgotten and had to be asked for we didn’t receive them until we were finished with our appetizers. We were missing a place setting that also had to be requested a second time. The chef mistakenly started to cook seafood before the beef and poultry and we had a seafood allergy at our table. The food was poorly seasoned and poorly cooked. My shrimp were not clean they still had poop in them. Tonight was very disappointing!“
