“Went on a Sunday for a cup of s'mores ice cream. Very very tasty and there were a ton of options that sounded good. Great place to take kids or a family. Convenient location next to the dock
Vegetarian options: Ice cream is all vegetarian. Some meat with the pretzels but very safe for veggies
Parking: Parking in Mystic is tough. Street parking exists but you have to get there early to get a good spot.

“I recently took my family to Twisters Ice Cream, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The variety of flavors is impressive, with something to satisfy every taste bud. My kids were thrilled with the colorful, fun options and couldn't stop talking about the unique toppings they got to choose from. The ice cream itself is creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor—easily some of the best we've had.
The atmosphere at Twisters is welcoming and family-friendly, with plenty of seating to oversee the Mystic River that made our visit even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, especially as our little ones took their time deciding what to order. We also appreciated the clean, well-kept environment, which made us feel comfortable and at ease.

“Alanna was such a pleasure I had to tip her personally. With the other employees, they had either an attitude or just an uninviting personality. Someone got our order incorrect and Alanna fixed it with a smile and quickly. I appreciate this customer service so much even though it was busy and we weren't upset at all, it was refreshing to see someone still with a smile and uplifting spirit under pressure. She was amazing I hope she succeeds well past her expectations in life.“

“What a great place!!! I had sautéed portobello mushroom spinach and cheese sandwich which was delicious. They also had something I’ve never seen fluffernutter ice cream which was amazingly delicious. The place was adorable with the soda counter brought back lots of good memories. I love the sign that said no WiFi talk to someone :)“

Their prices are a bit on the higher end, but they have fast service. If you’re looking for a quick treat in the area, check it out!“

“Lactose intolerant. Chocolate lactose free ice cream actually tasted like chocolate ice cream. No comparison to the lactose free Dilly Bars at the Dairy Queen right up the street which taste like, well, no taste. Mel's is out new go to place.“

“Was walking through Mystic Village and decided to treat myself to some ice cream. Nice flavors and I was craving something fall so I decided on Apple Pie. I got a small and it was small but the ice cream was delish. Little pricey for what I got but its Mystic. The woman was pleasant serving the ice cream. No complaints. If Im around again I try salted caramel next or maybe pumpkin.“
