“I ordered a lemon raspberry birthday cake with vanilla buttercream and it was delicious and beautifully decorated. They have great recipes here; cake was fluffy, they used just the right amount of filling, and frosting was amazing. Sometimes buttercream can be either too heavy or too sweet. Theirs was neither. The birthday girl loved it! Also their breakfast pastries are very good with homemade fruit fillings.😋“

“WOW!!!! I lived in France for 8 years and have traveled through much of Europe……Bounom is hands down the VERY BEST bakery that I have ever been to!!!! My mother and I are fairly accomplished cooks and bakers so are very aware of quality……..we do not eat grocery store pastries….they may be convenient and less expensive but are very poor quality……Kamla makes everything by hand with top quality ingredients the morning that they are sold…..basically, you get what you pay for!!!!!! Top quality ingredients are expensive! You can order online the day before to make sure that you are able to get what you want, they often sell out early. If you want discount store prices, then go to the discount store……Bounom products are EXCEPTIONAL and very much worth the price!!!!! In addition the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!!!! My NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION for a bakery !!!! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to their wonderful goodies!!! I would give them 10 stars if I were able!!!“

“I’m visiting Hartford after almost 20 years. This place is the first I wanted to see. The best croissants in this hemisphere are here. The place hasn’t changed it’s still as quaint and wonderful as always. The croissants are a piece of heaven.“

“Visited Sue Stones. Did you know she was often voted Connecticut's Cake Lady? Saw so many examples of exquisite and imaginative cake designs created for display that are truly ingenious and often based on the clients most treasured experiences. She created my own wedding cake for my first wedding and it went on to win awards for that design as well. For those who are Cinderella or Elizabethan devotees, her created castles far outweigh those found in your favorite fairy tales.“

“Just started coming here not too long ago and have not been disappointed! The bagels are delicious and always fresh. We call ahead and have our order ready within 10 minutes. The donuts are delicious, my favorite right now being the Oreo one. The staff is very friendly, we were attended to by a lady who was very friendly and courteous. With 2 coffees, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich bagels, and 3 donuts… the total cost was about $32. She even threw in an extra donut 🩷. All staff members have been very friendly and kind. Definitely recommend this place.“

“With the move just down the street, Beanz and Co & The NE pasta co transformed itself to another level. The place is spacious and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. In addition to the main dining area, There are three separate seating areas: a room with comfy seats for a small group of talkers, a back room for a quieter setting and a third room perfect for a work meeting or small group of friends or couples.

I love the inclusion of staff with challenges, otherwise may not have this positive opportunity. 💜
