“Great bagels! But, you have to go early as they run out of bagels very early. They have a great variety of bagels and they are huge! Perfect bagels, they have a nice crunch on the outside, but not hard, and pillowy soft on the inside. They really are the best bagels I ever had. Never tried the sandwiches but they look fantastic. I will get a sandwich someday as long as I go there when they aren't sold out!“

“Rocco's is a wonderful and friendly local bakery located In South Meriden CT. The prices are reasonable. Cash only (ATM machine inside). They carry pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, breads, etc. The service is great- Dorothy is super friendly. This is a grab and go place. There is no area to sit down with your treats and eat. The chocolate lemon pie is a favorite. They sell individual pieces of almond, tiramisu, etc. Everything we've purchased has been delicious. This is the only specialty bakery in the area. Highly recommend!“

“Elizabeth's Bakery now has some GF items. Today I tried their GF blueberry muffin & brownie. The muffin is amazing! It didn't taste GF at all. Lots of blueberries, not overly sweet like some GF baked goods; great texture -not gummy at all; and a wonderfully big muffin like it's gluten containing counterpart. The brownie is soooo fudge! It is not gummy at all. Tastes just like a gluten containing brownie (well at least what I remember them tasting like). These are so much better than any GF brownie mix & better than any recipe I have made at home. It's been years since I have been able to purchase a great tasting GF item at a bakery. “This place is great! It had the "mom and pop" vibes that makes you know a bakery is going to be good. Service was good. Greeted immediately when I came in and she had good recommendations for what to buy to get myself to the credit card minimum. I was in and out in under three minutes. The food here is INCREDIBLE. I had a crumb cake and it was perfect in every way. My sister had a cannoli and said it was the best she's ever had. I felt that the brownies were too thin and dry, but the flavor profile was good.“

“What a lovely story of the beginning of a sweet little spot! The baguettes are absolutely perfect! The SCONES are a real treat! Coffee is flavorful and steamed milk with every cup! Hard to choose, although the grilled veg on focaccia and tropical salad are my go to. I once had a Tuna Nicoise Baguette it's still one of my all time favorite sandwiches! “There is no other bakery like the International Bakery on Baldwin st. They care about their customers and haven’t forgotten their roots. You will find one of the owners always there and chatting with the customers about their day and their families. Walking into this bakery is like walking into a bakery in Portugal. “I had never been to this bakery before but followed them on Facebook. One day I saw a photo of a cake they posted and thought it was gorgeous. We were planning our son's first birthday party with an "Under the sea" theme. Well....I went to check things out. Amazing little bakery. I tried their canolis, custard cups and cream puffs before ordering anything! I figured if they were good then I'll order more! They were Delicious!!! Best ever!! “My daughters brownie troop scheduled a pizza cooking class for the girls here and it was a fantastic experience. There were at least 30 girls and it ran incredibly smoothly. The space was bright and clean and there was seating in the back for the parents to watch if they chose to stay. The women in charge did a great job of explaining why certain ingredients were needed and there was enough staff working to help each of the kids out. We even got to take home a copy of the pizza dough recipe!“

“I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. They are so nice here. I usually have Elyana waiting on me. Always smiling and so nice. Anyone else never had has been the same.“

I co-opened a bakery called Neighborhoods cafe in Fenway in 2012, and I did all the baking.I can say with confidence that this place has some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted: ever.I got six different ones, cut them in half, and tried a few bites of each.First off: I was BLOWN AWAY by the mint. I don’t think people realize how challenging it is to get that mint-cookie flavor, and both the vegan and the traditional cupcakes here nailed it!All cupcakes had a fun surprise filling in the middle (I love when bakers do that), and the cookie dough icing had texture AND TASTE (how, I may never know) of a light cookie dough!I think the cannoli topped one was my favorite but I all were beyond my expectation.No, they don’t have a million options, that’s because they do a few things exceedingly well. Bravo!!!6 stars!!!!This bakery is located in a massive brick building shared by other stores. It was hard to find the handicap entrance but there is one on the side!!!“

“Having stopped in numerous times and thoroughly enjoyed a wide variety of muffins that consistently resonated with freshness and flavor, it pains me to make a single negative comment. On my most recent visit I veered to the left by choosing a pair of scones when I should have steered straight ahead to the muffin muffin display. My mistake was in ordering a pair, one being raspberry and the other of the blueberry variety. Each was large and fresh, but the texture and flavor were not scone-like so I won't be re-ordering either in the future. Next time, as in the past, I will order muffins numbering 2.“
