“I just read a story about these people went to eat and witness something was so totally wrong . A trooper came into this restaurant and was refused service. All these was based on the owners feelings about the law enforcement. These men and women put thier life’s on the line to protect everyone including you Mr. Owner. This puts a bad taste in my mouth about the owner , not the restaurant. This owner has good people working for him and they do make good food. However I will never go to this restaurant ever again. All this happened two hours after the Bristol’s policeman was killed on duty.“

“I made a reservation here on a Saturday for a date night with my wife and we had a great time. The atmosphere was cool. The service and food were all very good. (We had Cuban Sliders, Calamari and loaded plantain nachos). It was nice to have a unique restaurant experience for a change. “Overall, I had a good experience at The Common House Kitchen & Bar. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. Most of the food was very good, although a few menu items advertised fries, onion rings, or berries as included, but they weren't. The chicken pasta was a bit disappointing and lacked flavor, but everything else we ordered was well prepared and enjoyable. I'd still come back and try more items from the menu.“

“13 of us went there to celebrate my mom's 85th and we're lucky and got the upstairs. We had Samantha as our server who went way above what was expected. We had the very reasonable priced buffett..the food was good, the chef was on hand and very friendly. Drinks very reasonably priced. “This is one of my favorite restaurants. I had originally visited this restaurant when it used to be in New Haven, and I found that it had moved and I was glad that it was nearer to me. The seafood is what draws me to this restaurant, specifically the seafood boil because I really enjoy their sauce. The seafood appetizers are also great. And the staff is wonderful too. Highly recommended if you enjoy this type of food.“

“I rarely visit bars but I do like trying new places before passing judgement. When I walked in to the restaurant, I thought it was more open and contemporary than I expected, which was good. We were there for a Linner on a Monday so it was not busy. It was not very well lit. Which is always a problem for us because my partner is legally blind. There were 4 regulars at the bar who turned around stared at us, then cracked a joke which got them laughing at our expense. We decided to eat out on the patio as it was a nice day. The patio was clean. The tables had umbrellas which provided needed shade. We were served right away, with a smile. Our server Bonnie was really nice and brought out drinks and refills as needed. She automatically brought the extra napkins and the utensils at the beginning. The order was as requested mostly, but I'd say my burger was undercooked. I asked for medium but it was very medium rare and in the thickest part rare rare rare. Because I'll eat hamburgers just about anyway, and I will never ever send food back. (There is a story there, a word to the wise, don't send food back in any restaurant, evet) I didn't say a word about it. So you might want to go medium well if you like medium. Apart from that, it was a very pleasant experience.“
