“Just enjoyed amazing cocktails (Gimlet and Curry Barbados) and Nosh (mushrooms had amazing flavor, Korean fried chicken sandwich, salty and delicious, empanadas crisp and yummy) from their Happy Hour menu which is being expanded from 4:00 to 6:00. On Tuesday starting at 6:30 or 7:00 is a jazz quartet which we sadly had to miss but will definitely be back. Our waitress Claire was darling and very informative. Bartender was spectacular!”

“01.22.25 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Norm's Diner, Groton CT I finally got off of work🚒👨🏾‍🚒 after being in the Great City of New London for 3 days so I immediately made my way over the Goldstar Bridge and into the City of Groton where I dropped into a local breakfast spot called Norm's Diner. I wanted to find out if this spot was any good so I ordered Sausage Gravy over biscuits, a side of Grits and a cup of Coffee. The big question is, "Is this spot a great place 👍🏾 or is it a Dud 👎🏾?" Well... This place is Off the Hook!! The atmosphere and the service is amazing!! I was served a delicious meal and kept entertained at the same time!! The owner Steve is outrageously Fun and outgoing!! I had an amazing breakfast and experience at Norm's Diner!! Thank you👍🏾 Get your butt down there Right away!! “ALL THE STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We ordered food for pickup tonight and I could barely make it home without tearing open the bag because it smelled so good. But let me back up, I was greeted by the most friendly folks when I walked in the door who not only had my food packaged and ready to go but chatted with me about ordering options and gave me samples of their drinks, the mango drink is to die for! When I got home I was taken back by how huge the portions are! Our sandwiches were easily the size of two regular portions. We had the Tripleta sandwich and the Cubano sandwich with sides of fries. The pulled pork on the Cubano sandwich was so juicy and tender and the bread was perfectly grilled. We also got a beef and a chicken empanada and they were huge! The sauce was a little spicy for me (I’m a spice wimp) but my husband loved it. I’m so happy I found this place and it is now a local favorite for me.”

“Very great dinner for my boyfriend and I. Attentive and professional service by Emily , classy atmosphere and fantastic food. We tried both the New England and RI chowder and it was delicious. Warm and filling, we prefer the New England. We got the Rockefeller from reviews and didn’t realize it was baked, very good but will just stick to the Raw Bar when we come back. If you like baked oysters I definitely recommend. Absolutely loved their Sixpenny oysters. Will be back.”

“Everything was Great!! I walked in expecting good service and good food and I walked out a happy customer. I ordered the bbq and the j*** sauce wings, It was amazing!! I was actually licking my fingers because the sauce was sooo good. I must add the decor was beautiful. It looked so elegant on first encounter and I found myself talking about it during my whole dinner. You won't regret eating at favorites. I promise you, I will be a regular over there.”

“I can not begin to describe the amazing experience we just had at this place. we went for brunch today. the three of us decided to try the bloody specials they had.. all truly unique. one was Italian with meat and cheese. there was a seafood one with ceviche and shrimp cocktail and the last was one with 2 large pork bellies on the side.. amazing!! we ordered 3 different entrees so we could all share. the smoked salmon frittata. wow! smokey..light.. creamy.. so perfect. next were chicken and mushroom crepes. holy crap! unbelievable!! the last was a steak sandwich where the beef just fell apart! outstanding! my friend had asked about a menu item that had been previously on the menu that she loved and they went out of their way to make it for us!! our dessert was a mimosa with purple corn and cinnamon.. unlike anything I have ever had before! A perfect end to an amazing meal! I can't say enough good things about this place! thank you! and I can't wait to come back for dinner!”

Herb's Country Deli Restaurant is an Amazingly Dope spot that has instantly become a top contender of Top 3 Best Breakfast Spots in the Southeastern CT area! At the same time they have also earned a 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Review'. I walked into a very warm and inviting welcome from the Owner's daughter named Ellen. She was so sweet and even introduced me to her father, Herb's who recently turned 95yrs old about a week ago. I was welcomed by the whole staff and I had such a wonderful server named Dawn! She is truly the Best!! Thank you Dawn! ❤️ I can keep going on and on about how great this spot is so.... Let me continue. The atmosphere is perfect. “MOST DELICIOUS DONUTS for the literal best prices I’ve ever seen. The staff is lovely, the shop has a pleasant vibe, and my kids are always thrilled to have Flander’s donuts! It’s cash only (which I forget a lot, that’s why I’m mentioning it) but they have an ATM machine in the shop. So recommended!”
