“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!“

They all rock, they all work so hard and treat the guests well and make us all feel well at home.“

Waiter was not friendly, and had no interest in assisting us. Didn't even offer bread , only came after we asked during the appetizer. Food was average to above average which helped the situation. Ownership needs to school the waiters on better ettiquette with customers“

“we had everything from 5 different appetizers, to four entrees and 5 different desserts. We go out to eat all the time but have never gone here. So we tried it, the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The servers were very friendly and professional and on the ball. The food omg. What can I say it was magnificant. The manager came around and made sure everyone was happy, then the owner Danny came in and introduced himself. This is the best restaurant we have ever been to with the best food we have ever tasted. As I said we eat out alot but nothing compares. Hats off to all the staff and the owner. Well done. Cant wait to go back.“

“Vesta was wonderful! I came with a couple friends for Sunday brunch and I will definitely be back to try dinner sometime. The restaurant is lovely with such a cute atmosphere. My biggest gripe is that it was a little hard to find the entrance, I actually went through La Zingara but thankfully the bartender there sent me the right way.
The restaurant is small but very cozy and clean looking.
The brunch is pre fixe and I ordered a Bellini and later tried their passionfruit rooftop seltzer. Both drinks were huge! The seltzer in particular was really nice and I would like to try the other flavors. For starters, my friends had the salad while I opted for the soup of the day (corn chowder). They were all very nice.

For our mains, I went with the chicken and waffles, while my friends ordered the sweet potato skillet and the breakfast pizza (minus the sausage). Everything looked fantastic! The only hiccup was that the pizza came out a bit undercooked, but our waitress was super accommodating and happily brought it back a few minutes later — the second time, it was perfect. The chicken and waffles were amazing! It had a good sized piece of boneless breast with a nice crunchy well seasoned crust sandwiched between two waffles with this wonderful bacon jam. The waffles on their own were very sweet, almost like they were crusted with sugar. But when eaten together with the chicken and bacon jam it was perfect. My friends also loved their dishes. The breakfast pizza was huge (she took half home!) and the crust was great, while the sweet potato skillet was hearty and flavorful.
The only weak spot of the meal was the dessert course. I had the Nutella crepe, and my friend had the chocolate gelato (the only other option was vanilla; no sorbet that day). The crepe was very disappointing. It was small, cold, and didn’t taste fresh. It just felt thrown together and barely had any nutella. The gelato was better, though I thought it was a bit icy in texture.

Overall, I really loved the vibe here and thought the food was great. It’s a charming little spot that would make a wonderful date or special occasion restaurant. I’m already looking forward to coming back for dinner sometime!“

“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! “My husband and I are both Italian and we completely loved everything from walking in the door to leaving!! The food was beyond perfect and our servers were extremely personable and attentive. The overall dining experience was amazing and the ambiance is great! I am an “artichoke aficionado” and the Carcioffi Fritti appetizer was perfect. The Pappardelle Bolognese was excellent and the Vitelli Funghi was so good (I got it with Chicken instead). Their sea salt caramel gelato was the best we have ever had. We will definitely add this to our fine dining list!“

However, a few weeks ago I found myself without side dishes for Sunday dinner - and I ordered salads, broccoli rabe and a few other items and they were excellent.
