“We have the good fortune to work at the Pond House and Elizabeth Park typically several times a year as we are full-time wedding photographers. It is hard to find a more beautiful location if you want to mix in the gorgeous outdoors with a comfortable and stunning indoor space. We always love the well-kept and photogenic grounds, the elegant touches from the interior to the patio, and the attentive, friendly, easy-going staff who run weddings so well. The food is superb, and it It is always a pleasure to book a wedding here since it will go absolutely seamlessly in heat or cold, rain or shine. If you work in this industry you know every wedding has a mishap or two from something forgotten at home, a sudden change in the weather, the party being stuck in traffic, etc. Everyone at the Pond House rolls with the punches so well, and the venue allows us all to collectively handle this turbulence with grace. The communication is excellent with other vendors and one another. They make sure to take care of their vendors really well (which always tells me they go above and beyond for couples). I am always confident we will have a tremendous day when walking in the door. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review. It hit every taste bud on my tongue. My husband got the brisket grilled cheese and it was out of this world good. Perfectly balanced. Not too much bbq sauce, right amount of cheese and a nice crisp bread. The tater tots were perfectly fried and salted. They were so good we didn't even need ketchup. We will for sure be back.“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. Full review- Just found out about this gem and had to try it. As a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine it is our mission to try and review every restaurant we can in the area.

Apparently, they’ve been open for a few months but we weren’t aware. Found them on a google maps search at 5.05pm on Saturday. The listing said they closed at 5pm. On a whim called the phone number immediately and pleaded with them to stay open for pick up. The kind lady replied that she was planning to be open for another couple of hours. So I jumped in the car and headed over there quickly.

We ordered variety of dishes :
- Chicken jerk chicken
- Curry goat
- Oxtail

The jerk chicken was running out so we completed the order with a little bit of stew chicken.

All the dishes were very good.
The rice and peas were truly special - Perhaps an extra dose of Love❤️
The Stew chicken was also outstanding.
We will be ordering all these dishes again.

The location is incredibly convenient. it is on College Street literally a block from Main Street.

Middletown is emerging us a culinary destination, and this lovely cozy Jamaican spot really elevates the game.

The food is good. The people are wonderful. the location is fantastic.

Wheelchair accessibility: Two door entrance and a lip, prolly tough to wheel in via chair or electric but totally cool crowd to have people see u and help u in most of the time.“
