“When living in South Windsor for years we used to always get our Chinese from SunSun. We always got delivery.I remember, delivery always used to get there quickly food was hot. They still have the best Chinese food around. If you haven't tried them I highly recommend. Also I couldn't believe the operation. “The food was great! I got chicken chow mein, house rice, and an egg roll. The chicken chow mein vegetables were nice and crunchy. Plenty of chicken. The house rice was delightful with shrimp. The egg roll was crunchy and filled with vegetables. All the food was served nice and hot! I even received a small side of white rice and crunchy fried egg noodles!“

“We have ordered from Yang Zi Jiang many times, and it has been consistently good when it comes to taste, portion size, and quick turnaround. That opinion also comes after trying quite a few Chinese restaurants in the area.

On our latest visit, we ordered Szechuan Chicken and Crispy Tofu with Broccoli. Both were delicious. The Szechuan Chicken had plenty of well-cooked chicken along with peppers, baby corn, mushrooms, and snow peas. It was marked spicy, though for our taste it really was not.

The Crispy Tofu came with broccoli and fried tofu coated in a very good sweet and spicy sauce. Because of the sauce, the tofu was no longer particularly crispy by the time we ate it, and the pieces were a little too large for my liking. Other than broccoli, there were no additional vegetables, but the flavor more than made up for it.

Over our previous visits, we have also enjoyed their Vegetable Fried Rice, Veg Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken, General Tso's Tofu, Orange Chicken, and Hot & Sour Soup. Thankfully, we have yet to come across a dish we disliked. The portions have always been generous and the food consistently flavorful.

One thing I especially appreciate is their surprisingly good and creative vegetarian selection, something I do not find at many Chinese restaurants. Their menu is quite large, and despite all our visits, we probably have not tried even half of it yet.

The only limitation is that this is essentially a takeout restaurant with no dine-in option. Posting this review only after eating here multiple times — and so far, Yang Zi Jiang has earned its consistency.“

“I’ve known these people for over a decade. my father and I always came here since it was down the street from us. He’d get beef fried rice well done with some ribs on the side, then I would get chicken fried rice with 4 chicken wings. That was our go to orders and they always delivered with great food. We’ve known the owners for years and they are one of the nicest people in the area. I got to know them all these years to the point where one of their sons became a freshman when I was a senior in Highschool and we are boys to this day.
