“Great location in a lively, redeveloped section of Stamford. We had an event with a fixed price menu and each course was amazingly good. Come hungry, because they give you a lot of food. Apps, salad, pasta and main courses were all wonderful. Great service and a great view of the harbor. Not sure if it is open to the public, but if it is, check it out.“

“Had a very good experience here for Valentine’s Day. Our server was Jermaine. Great guy, super professional, knowledgable, and attentive. He definitely earned the 25% tip provided. Food, atmosphere, service, food… all top notch. Only knock was that the potatoes au gratin were stone cold upon being served at our table. Had to give the four stars in the food category instead of the five because of that. It’s great that the valet stand is literally at the front door. Really adds to the experience. Very highly recommend. Five stars in general overall.“

From the appetizers ( I had the clams oreganata and my husband had the chopped salad) to the entrees ( I had the linguini with clams my husband had the sizzling boneless ribeye ) to the desserts ( I had the key lime cheesecake my husband had the cannolis ) everything was perfect. And the atmosphere was cozy due to the dimmed lighting ( yet bustling which we like) as every table was taken. Love it here.“

“Kotobuki is an authentic Japanese restaurant with excellent food and service. The head chef is the owner -- Masanori Sato, who goes informally by the moniker "Masa." Masa is always busy, behind the such bar, creating his excellent delicacies. My favorite is the sushi and sushi rolls -- always fresh and delicious. In addition to the traditional rolls, there are some wonderful in-house creations such as the Spicy Betty Roll, Lobster Roll (my wife's favorite), and my favorite, the Kevin Roll. The latter, in deference to the national color of Ireland, is spicy tuna wrapped in slices of tuna, fried, and covered with avocado (green, of course). The setting is not overdone, to say the least, but is very basic -- a variety of wooden tables surrounded by walls enhanced with various pieces of art appropriate to the cuisine and culture. The tables are separated by cloth partitions highlighting Japanese scenery. The table service is excellent, the staff is very accommodating, and shout-outs are certainly appropriate for Mr. Sato's wife (head waitress) and Jenny (one of the welcoming waitresses). Moreover, the dining room is very quiet, conducive to conversing with cohorts without the need to raise one's voice. It should be mentioned that Kotobuki remained open during the pandemic, serving both take-out meals AND in-house specialties.“

“Met a friend here for lunch on a cold winter day. The natural light coming through the windows overlooking the nearby canal was really lovely! Food was fresh and delicious and service was friendly and prompt. Loved the chopped salad and green pea falafel! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. I imagine it might get a little noisy at dinner time, but it was very nice at lunchtime. Also, they have their own parking, which is a big plus in Stamford. I plan to return!“

“I like the food the portions that are given for the price makes it totally not southern. I'm usually still hungry after a 20 dollar meal which isn't fair to customers. The food is ok but the portions is ridiculous.“

“Ordered an "Orange Chicken & Pork Fried Rice Lunch Plate". The chicken was freshly fried and deliciously crispy. The fried rice was nice, but I would have liked to see more vegetables such as peas, carrots, or maybe a couple pieces of broccoli.Overall, a very good value for money; just add a bit more veggies to the lunch plate and it would be perfect!“

“We arrived at 9:30pm, the restaurant was set to close at 10. The hostess welcomed us in and seated us with no fuss. Ines took care of all our refills and drink orders- she was so sweet with my kids. We ordered the Salmon, the Greek salad, and my son ordered the kids chicken fingers and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! Waaay exceeded my expectations.

“When I first entered I was sketchy about the location. The waiter that welcomed me in seemed drunk. But a family member suggested the spot so I wanted to try. Took awhile to get a waitress but once she finally came I ordered. Lots of great choices to choose from the yuca fries were great. Omg the garlic sauce they have I don't know whats in it but its amazing so flavorful. I ordered seafood with the yellow sauce. Great choice very flavorful and filling. I will be back“
