“Solid across the board but it won't blow your mind. The sarsaparilla root beer was an interesting beverage that tasted closer to a life saver than traditional root beer. The fried mozzarella was crispy, salty, fresh, and flavorful. A solid 7.1/10. The burrata margherita pizza was most delightful when eating bites with the burrata, was very tomato sauce forward and on the sweeter side, with a solid crust. Nothing mind blowing here, but you could do a lot worse. 6.5/10. The calzone w/ meatballs benefited from the solid dough used in the pizza and the ricotta was very smooth and light (like it was whipped) and the other cheese was nice, but the meatballs had a strong anise flavor which really dragged down the dish. Even removing the meatballs from the scoring, it would be a 6/10 at best. Meatballs were a 1/10. All together, you won't be disappointed by the food but there is definitely room for improvement both on some major objective fronts and on the margins.Would recommend coming prior to 6pm on a Saturday. We were here around 5:15pm and had no wait and a small crowd. By 6pm the restaurant had a wait.“

“We were married at Georgina’s this past month and wanted to share how incredible our experience was. We had to move our ceremony inside due to weather. 40 minutes prior, there was no rain and Harold and the team started setting up for an outside ceremony, only for it to start sprinkling 5 minutes before the guest came, pushing the ceremony inside. We had a large (and loud) bridal party with a ton of kids. Harold was able to manage all of them and get them out in order and on time. Harold went along with any idea I had and made the night as perfect as could be. We could not recommend a better venue and coordinator. After stepping in the Grand ballroom, we knew our wedding would be perfect. So glad we trusted Harold and the team. He even packed up cake for us for when we got back to the hotel.“

Mario's is the only place in town to be guaranteed flavorful ( I come from a P.R./Italian house hold so iykyk), hot and I mean steaming, quality and quantity beyond expectations and fast delivery.. dare I start on customer service and the quality of it ? Chefs kisses all around! I have never been happier from their pasta dishes to the salads with the house dressings.. the pizza, discriptions do not do them justice!! I have always been drawn to Somers even in my youth, and I am proud to be able to call this town home and hold onto such a high caliber of a community it has. 10/10, will order again and again. “I always drive by here, but have never stopped in before today. I am glad I finally did-- a gem of a local market in Ellington, DiFiore has a great selection of fresh made pastas, baked goods, oils, and hot food at reasonable prices. There are spaces to order at the counter and dine in at the cozy sitting room, or get takeout. I got takeout penne alla vodka (came w/ a complimentary focaccia) and two cannoli, both were delicious.“

“The exterior is unassuming, to say the least, but the interior is warm and welcoming. We had the strongly recommended reservations and were promptly seated. Some lovely wines were forthcoming; I could not resist the "Prayers of Sinners and Saints" from Washington state, while my wife's Sella Antica Super Tuscan was superb. Warm bread and garlic oil arrived to whet our appetites. We celebrated her birthday with Pesce Del Giorno En Papillote (Sea Bass with saffron potatoes, herbs, lemon, capers, tomatoes, and olives) while I tucked into Braised Beef & Truffle Pappardelle with mushrooms, demi glace, and a touch of cream. Son wolfed the Spaghetti allo Scoglio with clams, mussels, white wine, garlic, and fresh parsley. We finished the feast with flourless chocolate cake, an apple tart, and raspberry truffle ice cream. The Trattoria features produce and products from local farms, and it shows. Very tasty throughout, and a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion (or just the fact that it's Wednesday!)“

“Upscale American fare food options, lots of drink choices both, tons of tvs if you're into sports but not loud where you can't enjoy your meal and talk. Prices are fair and service is always great when we visit. Plenty of tables and bar space so we've never had to wait even though they are usually busy. Highly recommended.“

“I absolutely love Vernon Pizza! Every single person is always friendly on the phone and in person, even when they're clearly very busy. The food is always hot and delicious. Love the chicken bacon cheddar wranch wrap, philly wrap, salads are huge and great, wings are awesome and did I mention the pizza rocks too?“

“Had the best prime rib dinner ever last night at Joanna’s. The meal wasn’t skimpy by any means. Definitely worth the price. Not only got a salad but a fresh vegetable that was seasoned just right. The prime rib was like butter, so tender. Will be going back for sure!“

“I get pizza here probably once a week. It's Greek style, very delicious and people are nice here. Their fried chicken dinner is amazing! The zing wings are great, especially with the zing hot sauce (ask for it!). It's a pizza restaurant with great options for entrees, apps and grinders as well. Family owned business. Ambiance is a casual pizza restaurant. They have a private room for private events as well. I had a birthday party for my son there once. It was great. Parking gets a little hectic when they're busy.“

“Perfect little New England spot, just ate there yesterday!The pizza was absolutely amazing, it had a thin, crunchy crust, loads of toppings and was served piping hot within 15 minutes of stepping into the place, and the personal pizza was the size of a regular small at least, it was split between two people and that was plenty.The staff is super friendly and patient, and the atmosphere was really cozy. The place was also clean, and comfortable. I wanted to order another pie!Antonio's is our favorite spot, can't wait to go again. 5 stars all the way.“

“I used to work in a pizza place just like that when I was young. Boy did those memories come back. I loved the smell of the place, the pizza cooking, olive oil, garlic and all of that combined reminded me of the place where I used to work. I was very surprised how good the food was. I eat gluten free because I have to and the pizza was really good and the salad was fresh. I was very impressed and will go back.“

“The staff are all pleasant. Pizza and boneless wings are good. Chicken parm was my favorite but they recently changed the sauce, not a fan now. I feel like there food is going down hill a little.. maybe new cook or food supplier.. grinders have always been on the skimpy side though. “Great value for the money. Portion sizes when it comes to slices are larger than most other pizza joints. Flavors are on point. My three year old loves the cheese slices and totally eats 2 slices on Fridays as a treat after a whole week of eating regular food. I love that I can get what toppings I want on my slices. Great joint, unpretentious, consistent with great hours. Parking is my only concern as there is not an abundance of it.“

It has quickly become one of our favorite spots and are consistently treated with care by Erica and the staff. The food is reasonably priced and always fresh. “It was crazy crowded and quite busy being post game from UConn men's basketball winning. It made for a loud yet fun environment and experience. “I visited Square peg pizza and bar mainly because of a really nice outdoor grill .This really stood out to me.After going inside on ocassion I tried some the tap beers at happy hour and had some brick oven pizza , it was really enjoyable ,good conversation and nice atmosphere inside : nice for quick lunch or evening out.Mostly Italian foods ,salad selection ,ect...comparatble pricing to other restaurants and bars and grills in the vernon CT area.“
