“Night 2 in Trumbull and wanted something comforting...therefore, you can't go wrong with Italian!

The food was delicious. I had fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta was more aldente than I would have liked, but overall, still food.

The location is small. We were a group of 5 and it was compact. Also, there are only high top seats available, which is not accessible. As someone who is height challenged (I am short) the seats were very uncomfortable. As we were leaving, they were setting up for a larger group... I am curious to see how that worked especially with a normal Saturday night crowd.“

“I drove 2 and a half hours down I-95 from Boston to check this place out. I was pretty apprehensive about the whole thing, but it ended up being worth it as the small pizza was almost as big as the large. The pizza plus the orange juice ended up costing $13 and the employee that greeted me when I walked in was so sweet I wanted to give her a hug, though I made her a little nervous doing this. The combination of the pizza and the orange juice was perfect for the pill I had to take as well! My waiter Chris came and took my order with a clipboard and even let me eat and told me to have a bite while he got my review. He even had a full camera crew filming me while I did it, meaning I was going to end up being on TV! I might have gotten a little too horny with my review though, as I might of came off as a dishonest dirty person to him lol. He was so nice though I even offered him a slice of my pizza, but he politely declined. After I ate, I got a police escort to get the full story as there were about 14 cops that saw my review and wanted to know if I was serious about it. I told them this pizza was so great, that if I ever got married, it would be at this place where I would also sign the contract. I didn't get to go back to this place for about 30 months afterwards (no reason behind it) but I never forgot how great the food and experience was! My friend Sonny Derek Porter will tell you how great it is too! Totally recommend it to y'all! This pizza is worth going to prison for!“

“We were early for our ferry and looking for a bite. My partner grabbed a grandma slice with fresh mozzarella and a vodka martini in a frosty glass. I got a cold antipasto, which wasn’t on the menu but they were very happy to oblige. Service was swift and friendly and the prices were reasonable. I took my salad to eat on the way to Pt. Jeff. The portions are so huge that we were able to split 4 appetizers and, if we ended up getting entrées, we wouldn’t have been able to finish the delicious vintage carnival dessert! “We had the most wonderful experience at Caloroso Eatery & Bar. Unbeknownst to me, my family planned a surprise birthday party and had it at Caloroso’s in early December. Because the weather was still good, the party took place in the Sky Terrace…the space was very inviting and large enough to accommodate the 33 of us! Ashley and others of the Caloroso team made sure that no one went thirsty or hungry! The buffet of chicken parm, chicken marsala, pasta, salad, and more was totally delicious and plentiful! The large screen in the room made it possible for all to see the birthday trivia game through which I relived lots of happy memories and milestones! I had no idea what was waiting for me when I walked up the stairs and went through the doors into the Sky Terrace…and I’ll never forget the SURPRISE experience! “Tl;dr: great ny style pizza, good friendly people, highly recommended! The long story: Ive been wanting a sourdough pizza for quite some time. We heard about this place and it was close so we had to check it out. Sooo glad we did! Thats some of the best pizza ive had EVER! Its sold as a new york style sourdough pizza so dont go in there expecting pepe’s/sallys/modern, but also dont let that deter you! This is a damn good pizza in its own right. The sourdough crust and base was thicker than the new haven style joints, but not too thick, and it was soft and easy to bite and chew though unlike some places that you really have to work your muscles to chew through, and yet it still had enough strength to hold the cheese and toppings and not fall apart. The sauce is quite possibly my favorite anywhere. It is saltier/tangy-er than most, but lends its flavor well to the rest of the pie and i loved it! The cheese is good and was stringy and gooey like a good hot pizza should be. It was easy to bite through and not thick and rubbery and had very good flavor. I ordered pepperoni and green peppers for toppings. The peppers are fresh sliced bell peppers and had a nice flavor though they could have been cooked a tad longer or even been slightly pre cooked, but it really didnt detract much if at all from the pizza. The pepperoni was delicious and was the type that curls and gets slightly burnt and crunchy along the edges and it wasnt too greasy. And like i said, the crust was excellent. The un-initiated might think eww gross- sour dough?!?!, but thats not the case. In fact you barely notice the flavor except that its slightly tart/sour. Its not overpowering and you barely notice it, but yet it adds another dimension to the flavor of the pizza. So with the combination of all that, you get a really great pizza with wonderful flavor, and is meant to be picked up by the slice, folded and eaten just like they do in ny! Dont get me wrong, i love me some new haven pizza, but this is so deliciously different, but yet not all that different from the new haven pies we’re used to. This pie may even un-throne a few of those places as my new favorite! The staff was friendly and efficient, and the prices weren’t horrible. You can do take out or eat in, but if you eat in, you serve yourself and clean up when youre done. This place is a little out of my way to get to but has definitely been put on my list of favorites and id highly recommend it to anyone!“

“Great Italian restaurant! The pizza is a nice, filling thin crust pizza - crunchy crust, but still slightly chewy. I liked the octopus, though it was served on a bed of puree and other vegetables. My dad loved the flavor of the vodka sauce pasta, but I liked the clam pasta slightly better (though it was a tad saltier than I like). Overall, delicious food, casual atmosphere for lunch, I will definitely be coming again, maybe for their happy hour“

However, the past few times I have ordered from Milford colony it’s like eating a tortilla- tonight I ordered there and the pizza was even thinner - the quality of the pizza has been going downhill for a while now yet the quantity of toppings available have been increasing. Please, stick to what you know and bring back the amazing pizza I know this is. Paper thin tonight, not a lot of sauce mostly cheese and my pizza wasn’t even sliced. “Catering Party @ Sally’s Apizza Fairfield On Saturday September 13, 2025, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and staff were phenomenal. We all know how great the pizza is, but the appetizers and salads were equally great. I can’t say enough about the wonderful servers, Dan and Brandon. There were efficient, kind, friendly and polite. They went out of their way to insure everyone was having a great time. The bartenders and other staff went a long way to help make everyone enjoy the party.
