I ordered a salad, and they brought me a bowl big enough to double as a hot tub. Cheesecake? Sublime. But be warned: you’ll leave with leftovers and the deep existential question, “Why did I eat 3,000 calories before dessert?” 10/10 would go back, with stretchy pants.“

“First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. “This review is long over do. This women has been blessed with the gift of baking. She makes things up and it comes to life. I can't go there too much because she has caused my family and I to become addicts. Baby she make a sweet potato cookie. Its not your average cookie plop some dough and bake. It has a buttery sweet crispy outside and in the middle a creamy sweet potato surprise. I have tried a lot of things in this bakery but that cookie is my goto. I dont buy just one. I get one for the car and one for home that I cut in 4s so I can stretch it out. I am currently in cookie rehab right now but I will be relapsing on Tuesday. Go check it out I promise you won't be disappointed. I forgot to tell you the customer service is phenomenal and the staff is amazing I will add pictures when I go back. See you there.“

Update 8-31-25: We came back for our anniversary. We enjoyed the chaufa, house salad, steak skewers with yucca, saffron vegetable rice, and the fried plantains. They remembered us from last year and wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plates (tres leches cake and the churros). It was special and delicious as always.“

They are a 10/10 across the board, friendly and wonderful service, incredibly fresh and healthy food and always grateful for the business. Look no further than laylas for your catering needs.“

“Amazing place to grab a salad, smoothie, or a wrap! We ordered takeout and they waited to dress our salad and fill the wrap until we got there so that nothing had the chance to get soggy, such a simple but brilliant way to enhance our meal! They also sealed my smoothie so it was possible to keep it in a bag or fridge until you’re ready to drink it which would be perfect for someone taking this as food on the go.

The quality of the food was also superb, the chicken was really tender and the greens were super crunchy. You can just tell they use high quality ingredients which makes the idea of paying $13 for a salad worth the price tag.

“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “Met a dear friend from New York at Bloodroot for lunch. From the street the outside looked small, plain and not very interesting. As we walked through the gate to the “side door” we were greeted by the water view and a lovely outdoor seating area - for another day, too chilly today! We stepped in the door and were immediately welcomed by Noel. From that point on, we were cared for and fed by Noel and her amazing cooks and kitchen staff - thank you Carol, Lailla and Yordanos. The food was excellent, the decor of vintage tables & chairs, hanging rugs off the rafters (one designed and hand woven by Noel) and lovely photographs on the walls, was both elegant and homey. We wandered the book store and bought their cookbook. What a wonderful experience to share with a dear friend. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant experience to all those who love vegan offerings and enjoy an intimate caring environment. Excited to return soon.“

“I am always suspicious of places that don’t focus on one cuisine but we have ordered twice now from Yuki Kitchen and have been impressed by the authenticity of the menu. We ordered Simmered Shitake mushrooms, Lucky Pink Radish, and smashed spicy cucumbers and all were amazing. We also ordered Yaya Balls which are deep fried octopus. My son had them in Japan on a visit a few weeks ago and said they tasted just as good. He was also excited to see a brand of iced tea he had in Japan. Yuki Kitchen is a tiny but mighty source for authentic Asian food. Don’t drive by it….“
