Herb's Country Deli Restaurant is an Amazingly Dope spot that has instantly become a top contender of Top 3 Best Breakfast Spots in the Southeastern CT area! At the same time they have also earned a 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Review'. I walked into a very warm and inviting welcome from the Owner's daughter named Ellen. She was so sweet and even introduced me to her father, Herb's who recently turned 95yrs old about a week ago. I was welcomed by the whole staff and I had such a wonderful server named Dawn! She is truly the Best!! Thank you Dawn! ❤️ I can keep going on and on about how great this spot is so.... Let me continue. The atmosphere is perfect. You get an instant nostalgia experience dining in an amazing family owned restaurant a few tables over from the wonderful man named HERB who started it, now retired, enjoying breakfast with a couple of his family members ❤️ I seriously could not stop smiling the whole time I was there.😁 That was truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had on my journey thus far. ❤️ Let's move onto the food, I ordered and reviewed a few things: 1. 2 slices of Blue Banana Bread & The Elvis- Banana, Chocolate & Peanut butter (comped to try) 💣 2. Sweet Potatoes Hash $8.95 👍🏾 3. One Blueberry Pancake $6.95 💣 4. Pulled Pork Omelet $18.95 💣 5. Glass of Ice Water 😋 💣 Everything they served me was absolutely delicious and my experience at Herb's Country Deli Restaurant was Perfect in every way. “Ninos provides amazing food and customer service. We are regulars when it comes to their pizza, grinders and pasta. Last night they catered for our gender reveal party and we had assorted pizzas, a 3 foot long steak and cheese grinder, garlic knots and focaccia bread. Everything was great and our guests really enjoyed the food!”

“Feels Like Home – Amazing Cantonese Food! Golden Palace in Connecticut is hands down one of the best Cantonese restaurants I’ve been to. Their dim sum is so authentic — just like the kind you’d get in Hong Kong or southern China. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. What really makes this place special is the people. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming — every time I come here, I feel like I’m back home in China. It’s that kind of warm, family-style hospitality that’s hard to find these days. Whether you’re craving dim sum or a comforting Cantonese meal, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!”

“Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.”

“Food was great as was the beer. Our server was super busy with so many tables so it was a little slow but he did the absolute best he good. I'm not sure if they were short staffed.”

“This is a fun, old fashioned, down to earth bar, which is becoming rarer these days. They have country dancing lessons, pool, and dart boards. The food is simple bar food which is a fun guilty pleasure once in a while. The bartenders are really nice and as well as the people who go there.”

“Ben & Jerry's offers the weirdest flavors of any ice cream parlor I know. Yet, just about everything they fancy up is simply marvelous! Wifey escorted me directly to Ben and Jerry's once she saw it and I knew right away I was in for a sugar high😵‍💫. Oh well... Let the licking begin. Salted Caramel Blondie for and whatever for her. My cone was stacked so high, I got dizzy just looking at it 🤗. Boom! In a word... Delicious!”

“LOUD but an absolutely vibe😍 This is the 3rd largest indoor waterfall in North America and it’s so cool that it’s inside Mohegan Sun! Drinks are your typical casino price. Place is usually pretty busy so it can be tough getting a spot at times”

“Food was large servings and great value to pricing. Atmosphere was pleasant and conversations were able to be had with noise level. The driveway to the restaurant looks misleading from the road. Overall seemed good Asian genre of food for dining in and or take out. Place has tables set-up for dim sum as well.”

“Sure, the burgers are great, but I'm talking about their Fried Chicken sandwich! it's as good as Popeyes, perhaps even crunchier. Super juicy and a creamy, unique sauce. One is all you'll need to fill you up.”
