“My husband is disabled and they were quick to give us the closest booth available. Our waitress was really attentive and the foooooood!! I had duck two ways and it was amazing! My husband had a wonderful hanger steak that was delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced. We splurged on an express cocktail that was beyond good. We'll be back!!“
“Habit forming smoothies here. Mocha Explosion (protein powder & espresso shots) 10/10.I happened to order 3 different smoothies the other day and was waiting patiently. The owner stopped to make sure I was being helped. Love this place! I will always make time to wait for this locally owned coffee shop.Taco Tuesdays, burgers, hummus plate, and iced coffees are my favs. Don’t sleep on this place.Vegetarian options: Hummus platter is fresh!Kid-friendliness: While waiting my kids like to check out the train table.“
“We have frequented this restaurant in all of its iterations for nearly thirty years as a centralized meeting place to dine with family and/or friends living in the tri-state area. We have never been disappointed.Last evenings dining in our ‘miles for smiles tour’, took excellence to yet another level. Everything was perfect…the ambiance, cocktails, wines, appetizers, all four meals, which included duck, beef, seafood, and a pasta dishes were artfully plated, perfectly prepared, and flavorful. And, of course, followed by our favorite White Chocolate Mousse dessert. Our server, Lauren, is deserving of five stars of her own. An outstanding example of exemplary professional service, knowledgeable of the menu and the food preparation, wine list; an active listener with sharp memory, positive attitude, and sense of humor all wrapped in a beaming broad smile. She cared for our experience as if we were royalty, ensuring yet another memorable evening of dining. We will definitely arrange our next visit around an evening she is scheduled to work.Thank you keeping us smiling.“
“We've traveled by this place a million times (or so it seems) and never stopped until today. It always appeared to be too busy when open or we were headed someplace without the time to stop... or both. But today we stopped and had a really great breakfast. Now, we know what we've been missing! No wonder it always seemed to be so busy. Great place... try it!“
“Sunday breakfast buffet was mint.Lunch on a Saturday not so much.Fried food was super soaked in grease and the pot pie had very little filling and tasted more like cream of can soup. The server was trying her best for the 5 tables but it seemed super short staffed in the kitchen as well as front of house. Will return for a 2nd chance for sure.“
“We just stopped by for lunch on a whim after seeing the name online. We had the best lunch experience! The owner is amazingly sweet, and makes a delicious sandwich! We loved the cute decorations and would absolutely recommend this place for a heartwarming handmade meal!!“
“I just love Holland’s Maine Attraction! You can’t ask for a nicer place to sit outside. It is practically lakeside. Sometimes, you can see the water skiers practicing tricks just across the way!Their seafood is alway delicious and I love Gifford’s ice cream, which they make available. They even have a pup-cup for your well behaved canine companion!Picnic tables right outside or a covered outdoor eating area available.“
“I had a Greek omelette and a grilled hard roll...absolutely amazing. The omlette was giant and stayed so hot until literally the very last bite! Our waitress (Holly) was amazing. Great sense of humor, quick to jump when we needed something. And we had to wave her down a few times.Sidenote: not an issue for me, but they do not take credit cards. However, venmo and cash app were accepted.“
“Breakfast all day. The only place I've seen with trout and catfish on the menu. The store is great. Random stuff that most likely won't find anyway else. Example, my wife loves sarspirilla soda. Can't find it anywhere. They had it in the 20oz bottle.“
“Excellent on all counts, from server to atmosphere to food. In town for a NYE wedding, we wanted to enjoy dinner after an almost 5 hr drive and hotel check-in on Dec. 30. We called ahead, about 90 min. and the hostess fit us in at a small table for two. Sturbridge Porterhouse rivaled the best meals we have had. Shocked to find no porterhouse on the menu though! ?“
“We stopped here on a whim from a google recommendation - it is a charming little restaurant tucked just off the highway. The food was great, and three free books with your meal?! I only wish we had more time to stay and explore. A true hidden gem!“
