“Excellent example of Peruvian food. The chicken was juicy enough to eat even without the sauces. The alfajor cookie I had for dessert had a really moist shortbread and the dulce de leche inside was rich and thick. The servers were very nice, as was the ambiance. I will return next time I’m in New Haven.“

“Amazing food, friendly staff, and fun selection in the market too. As a Dominican myself, you won’t get any better food in the New Haven area. Only issue is that if you come once, you’ll be coming again. And again and again.“

“We ate here last night and the food and service were wonderful! What was even more wonderful was the customer service when I left my purse at the restaurant. I called later that night to see if it was there. They were so kind and kept my bag and made arrangements to get it to me this morning before they opened. Would definitely go back!“

“Highly recommend the Southwest Chowder. We enjoyed the hanger steak with chimichurri sauce, rice and black beans and fresh veggies. Outstanding. We loved the tres letches - always a good choice. Our server, Eddie, was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed dinner.“

“This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“
“The food was tasty and fairly priced. Lots of original recipes and overall lots of healthy options. I highly recommend getting takeout from here. You can dine in but most staff don’t speak English (Spanish only) which wasn’t my case. They had a soccer match playing on screen which was entertaining but a bit too loud“

“The awesome ladies and the service there is top tier!! The food was absolutely amazing!! I haven’t had mofongo in such a long time!! Their roasted pork mofongo is brings back so many beautiful memories !!! The guava juice was mouth watering and the seafood mofongo was also very very delicious!!! Highly recommend this spot!! The owner is so friendly, felt very welcomed ❤️ Thankyou for the outstanding food and service !!“

“Just because the owners may appear Chinese that does not mean they did not immigrate from Puerto Rico. Many Chinese who lived in Cuba emigrated to Puerto Rico after Castro in 1959, and from PR they later came to the mainland US, especially the New York area. I've been coming here for years and I can tell you the food is authentic and excellent.“

“I didn't go to the restaurant, I went to the food truck and lemme tell ya, I'll be returning. They don't skimp on the portions but the flavors? This food was cooked with love! I had 2 different rices, one with black beans, chicken, and the arepa was just too good. On the next really nice day, I intend to go back for more!!!!“

“We came in after a whole day sailing. When we asked what to get we were lucky to get the rotisserie chicken quarter combo hot and fresh. Delicious. My boyfriend got the pork chop quarter combo, also delicious. Even had Cornas! $36 well spent.“
